The Lodge at Ventana Canyon is a great destination if you're older, and more relaxed. It's used heavily for golfers. While I certainly like golf, I'm not a player, so I feel a little out of place here because of that. The staff is great, and the food is good also. If you're younger, I would just stay at Loews Ventana Resort next door.

The staff here were very accommodating but then again money talks. Since I have been spending more time with my rich friend lately I have noticed when it comes to customer service that seems to be the case. I wish I could find more places at the bottom of the hill that treated us working stiffs with more consideration.

This is a hidden gem in Tucson. Amazing rooms that are basically apartments with a small kitchen. The views if the mountains are great. There are walking trails, the golf course is great and the staff is attentive without being a bother. We spent time at the pools during our stay. There is a large lap pool and then a fun pool for the kids that is surrounded by ping pong, a giant connect 4 game, shuffle board, basketball and corn hole games. We are planning to come back for another staycation!

Super friendly staff. The views are mind boggling. It is a very quiet resort with phenomenal amenities. While it has the outward appearance of being family friendly, it's only family friendly if you have very well behaved children. There are no children running around unsupervised or screaming. The kitchens are nice. And domino's delivers up here.

Super nice! Great rooms and fantastic food. Me and my wife especially enjoyed the king size bed. Really cheep price for what you get. However it is a timeshare type set up so there is a lot older people that are regulars. If you dont golf the large golfing community can be a little intimidating. The Spa is not very big. High quality masseuses and super friendly staff but not very many services. Still overall a great experience a the view on our back patio was killer.

We love how spacious the rooms are with private balconies or patios. The mountain views are incredible. Our pup loved being on the parking lot side because of the many flyballs that came from the tennis court.
Due to COVID the staff is in masks, you must get pool towels from the front desk, there are X's on appropriate distancing and more. They're doing a great job.

I can't wait for golfing.

Overall a nice hotel. At the pool there is a large family pool with basketball hoop and volleyball net. There is also a laned lap pool and a small 1.5 ft deep kiddie pool. Also, a Jacuzzi for the colder months. They served frozen grapes and cold towels at the pool as well. The rooms are nice and comfortable.

Staff was amazing, but that's where it ends... we went for a mini honeymoon and was left disappointed. Furniture was dated, lumpy and the bed sank to the middle. Mountain view means, walk out on your patio, lean out and look left... not worth the extra money... Lost out on the daily resort credit because it wasn't explained that it needed to be used daily or lost we waited for day two to enjoy breakfast and the spa, so not having that credit we spent more than expected. Lodge is a great way to describe the decor. I expected more from all the photos I had found online

First of all, the welcome that you get from each and every member of the staff is unique and how they're constantly opening doors for us, asking what they can do etc... all this is an example of their great service. The place is really nice and the views all around are spectacular! We paid a little more to have the mountain view and it was well worth it!

The front gate is controlled by a guard. Upon walking up to the doors, there is someone there to open the doors. Guest check in are very friendly and professional. Felt at home. The king guest suite is very nice and huge. We didn't expect a kitchenette, but, there it is. It has a microwave, small fridge, oven with stove top, dishwasher, pots and pans, plates and silverware. Also available is a kuereg machine.

This is the second time our triathlete friends have come here as a group from Wisconsin to train and relax during the winter. The heated lap pool is a wonderful way to start the day, and the lounge pool a perfect place to end it. The rooms with kitchens are spacious and The Lodge is located in a breathtaking venue that could not be more suitable for swimming, biking, hiking and running. The service here is unmatched. We will be back.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay inside & out. We were locked out of our room for almost an hour bc no one told us that if we went out our sliding glass door that it would lock. The engineer had to eventually break in through the slider bc not even the master key would get us in our luxurious room. We will definitely go back!

If you love Tom Fazio Courses then you are going to love Ventana Canyon. 2 Beautiful courses with a backdrop of the Catalina Mountains. I gem in Tucson and a must play. The Lodge is nestled within the courses and if you stay then you can play.

I've stayed in this hotel multiple times. Some have been better than others. Hopefully, I can help you maximize your experience.

First, call ahead and find out if there are any conventions or parties being held at the hotel. If so, make sure you beat the crowds, parking can be inconvenient.

If available, try and book a two bedroom. Each time I booked this option access to the room was through the air conditioned lobby and had a patio with a beautiful view of the golf course. It also had faster access to the other accommodations.

The restaurant is often booked for corporate events, so don't count on a peaceful dinner there. However, I would recommend giving the lunch service a try, they have nice cocktails and a beautiful view.

The rooms are large and spacious, the kitchenette is nice but doesn't have everything needed to make use of it.

The bathroom is gigantic and takes up 1/4 of the total floor plan. However, it is everything you could ever want for relaxation. It has an oversized mission tub and two rainfall shower heads.

I called The Lodge , to speak with a manager to address my concerns. Something I do if I don t give 5 stars (most get 4-5). I was told the district manager was at lunch. But, he would call me ASAP. I also left him a voicemail. NO CALLBACK. So, I took photos of the issues I addressed In this review.

Check in was slow and not very courteous. Rooms were amazing. We did not stay long enough to use the facilities. Rooms are not ready until 4pm, so if you are an early arrival, you are out of luck and they really don't care. I wouldn't stay here again personally.
