The Leela Palaces & Resorts,udaipur Review

Location in a very beautiful of Udaipur... A Must visit place.. An ornate complex facing Lake Pichola, this upscale hotel is less than a kilometer from the NH50 and 2 km from City Palace.

The polished rooms are elegantly decorated, and include free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Upgraded rooms have balconies with lake views. Suites add butler service and separate living rooms. Room service is available.

There's a refined international restaurant with a walk-in wine cellar and a terrace, and a chic open-air Indian eatery with lake views, as well as a cosy bar with a fireplace and nightly live Rajasthani folk music. Other amenities include a luxe spa, an outdoor pool and a gym.

Very elegant. Excellent food. Great ambience. Slow but nice service.

My husband and I visited The Leela Palace for a Staycation this October 2020 since we really needed a break from our routine. The hotel was top end in architecture No Doubt. But had great service too given the limited number of staff they could keep. Little personal touches here and there add a lot of value like the chef coming out and asking for your preference and taste. Overall a place definitely worth visiting.

What can I say except how wonderful it is! What a hotel, what simply remarkable service!
A beautiful pool area, towels are at your disposal and change as much as you want. You can eat and drink on site (everything is served on the deckchairs)! Lovely people open and close the umbrellas at your request and anticipate your requests (amazing)! Wonderful!
The restoration is also remarkable!
The design of this hotel is magnificent, the sunset at night is magical!
As for our room, it was perfect. We asked for a Nespresso, room service gave it to us right away! A dressing room, 2 bathrooms (shower side, bathtub side).
In short, if you have the opportunity to land in this 2.3-day hotel do so, you will live a daydream! MAGNIFICENT, you said a 5 star but no, it is at least a 10 star **********!

This is an awesome place...an awesome experience. we are here for 5 days and everyday has been a unique experience. Courtesy the hotel staff. The hotel staff is completely connected to each customer who plans to stay here. the conversation level and knowledge levels of each and every staff member is worth noting...wether it is the restaurant team or security team or the concierge team....each and every person is commendable. Many thanks to the team here for making our stay here something unique.

For such a 5* property at a location envy of many other hotels in Udaipur, very poor customer service of the staff, especially floor butler. Immediately upon entering the room, only our room lights went off for unknown reason. Transferred us to a room which was not ready or partly ready. There is no dental kit provided. When asked, the hotel manager says we only provide dental kits if requested by patrons. What is that about in a 5* hotel?? AW, even when the dental kit was requested, the floor butler brings only the toothpaste and no brush. Very sorry to say but the staff are very poorly trained and just overall very poor experience. Please do not try to compete with the Taj and the Oberois, they are way beyond what the Leela can achieve.

Resort with a boat ride !!! Beautiful view from the place and full of selfie spots. Must visit.

Property is to good, & it feels us as we are in ancinet time

Initially the stay was not great. But when i raised my issue with the general manager he was helpful and genuinely made an effort to resolve my issues.
Overall i am satisfied with the outcome.
Sepcial thanks to Mr Akhilesh from fnb. He was a perfect host.

Great ambience and amazing service. Best views of city palace and lake palace as well. They have a jetty to take you to the city. You will feel like royalty here.

If you are in Udaipur and want to experience luxury, just get on the boat to Leela Palace during sunset and just experience the luxury they are offering you. As tourists you will be enthralled with the interiors and ambience of the hotel.
I have been to "Sheesh Mahal" restaurant many times and totally love the atmosphere there. Though I haven't been much satisfied with the food at "Dining Room".

But it is a highly recommended experience when in Udaipur.

It was awesome experience. ..in the middle of lake,, attended New Year party.. fabulous.. rockign evening it was ...would love to be here for next NYE as well.. must try..staff is so humble..polite.we entered from CNKB jetty..
Only thing to improve is to promote the entrance gate cNKB.. all are not aware. Even local if asked..we were roaming in the midnight in streets of Udaipur. Keep doing good Leela Palace

Best 5 star hotel in udaipur. Very tight security. The ambience is the key to stay here. The pool is amazing, in the morning you here the voice of birds while taking a sip of coffee. That make you feel so relaxing. The view of the lake is also amazing.

Beautiful hotel, very luxurious accommodations and the finest attentive service. Breakfast in The Dining Room was delicious, and the Indian restaurant at dinner was superb. Highly recommended.

The best and most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are excellent and have everything you need plus more. I absolutely loved the food and even just the design/aesthetics of the hotel and the service is top quality. You are really treated like royalty while staying here and I would come back here every year if I could!

The staff was extremely courteous. Food was extravagant. The scenic views from our room were one of the best I've seen. Especially during night time. We were given the best kind of hospitality. The bar and the food wasn't overly expensive. We got quality for the money.

I love this place . Must stay . If you can afford it .. the decor and architecture is so beautiful . The staff are amazing ans friendly. They go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. This place is one of my fond memories of Udaipur

Good hotel. Friendly staff. Restaurant is expensive. Pizza was okay. Views are amazing from the outer sitting area. Boat ride for main entrance, via foot for backside entrance.

A five star hotel. Lovely grounds with a superior pool. Grand view of the lake. We had dinner in their fine restaurants. The service was over the top. They couldn't stop trying to please us. The selection of food was very good. We ordered the Indian food which was just spicy enough for our palate. Great tasty food. Very recommended

An awesome experience at the Leela for lunch this afternoon. It was heartfelt that they entertained patrons not staying at their property so well. Will recommend and be back again...thank you.

The food is not worth the money you pay. Unless all you care about is the boat ride before and after the meal. It's grand but lacks the taste

One of the best Udaipur hotels with a blend of modernity & old world charm & very warm mannered staff.

It has one of the best views of Fateh Sagar lake. And you will be amazed by it's all around beauty,but I must say that taste of food was not, what I had expected.

Or hotel leela palace ki location bahut acchi hai jo ki lake ke kinare pe hi hai..morning view feel karata hai jaise ki aap koi foreign country me ho .. Subah subah chidiyao ki aawaj seedhe aapke kaano tak pahuchti hai..jisse ki aapki morning ki starting hoti hai..orr aapka maja dogunaa ho jaata hai ... Orr yaha ki facility ka toh kya kehna..maja hi aa jata hai ..
