Lake Louise ski resort is kind of small, and is not very good for beginners eh? Oui Oui. They do have some fun obstacle courses though. But you need to watch out in the spring, as there are some spots that are thawed out at the bottom of the mountain and can catch the front of your skis. (I took this photo on the top of a ski slope)

Would recommend going on a mountain tour with the ski friends; they are very nice and friendly, and always have some good stories to tell about the place. Even if you know the area you might learn something new!

Alberta's best ski resort. It offers the best variety of terrain, consistent fall lines, beginner to expert terrain, excellent slack country and backcountry skiing. If it had better food I'd give it 5 stars.

One of the best mountains I've ever skied. Phenomenal, and diverse terrain on this large mountain, along with spectacular views. The only drawback is a poor lift system for the back bowls.

So fun

The Lake Louise Ski Resort is the first stop on the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup circuit, and the only place in Canada where this event is held. The event, also known as the Lake Louise Winterstart World Cup, is described by Alpine Canada as "Canada's highest-profile alpine ski race", and attracts high-profile downhill skiers from around the globe - such as four-time World Cup champion, Lindsey Vonn. The races began at the resort in 1980 and have run consecutively since 1993, and is one of the select few that hold both the men s and ladies speed events on the World Cup circuit and plays host to the first World Cup downhill and super-G races of the season.
The Lake Louise Ski Resort hosted its first FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup in December 2013.
The resort also hosts Shake The Lake: a freestyle and live music event held at the end of the snow season.

One of my favourite ski resorts. I tend not to go on popular days (stuff like national holidays), however the lines are never overly long for and only get shorter the further into the resort you go (better snow, too). The food is overpriced, but that is expected out of any ski hill.

Beautiful resort. Has some of the greatest views I have ever seen. It has a ton of terrain made up of a majority of intermediate runs. This is a great beginner/intermediate mountain. Not quite technical enough if you're an advanced skier/snowboarder. Definitely worth the stop, especially if you have the Mountain Collective pass.

This was excellent- we travelled up the mountain in the gondola then ate a gorgeous lunch (bison sirloin) with great views of Lake Louise. Then explored the area before returning to the base on a ski lift. We would definitely recommend the ski lift option!!!
We were able to use the free shuttle bus to get to and from Lake Louise too. Make sure you book space on the bus as soon as you arrive as it books up quickly.
Really worth the money, we would have gone again if we had time during our trip!!!

Plenty of runs and it is hard to get bored, unlike Nakiska or Sunshine. The only down side is the main lodge is getting a bit tight comes lunch time and no accommodation close to the hill.

Must be the best ski resort in the Canadian Rockies. All sorts of terrain, terrain parks, big elevation, and lots of runs. Plenty of amenities as well like lodges for lunch at various locations.

This place is heaven. OMG

This place is heaven. OMG
Coming from BC where Big White is my home ski resort , lake louise is right up there with being just as insane.
The conditions were unreal, the views were like something out of this world, the lodge is crazy where you walk out to 3 runs right there is amazing.
Kokanee cabin is the place to be for good drinks and a good time in the sun.
Tons of places to sit back and relax in the sun if not skiing
Will defenitly be back!!!!! Thanks for a great bluebird spring day!!!!

Very well run location. Lots of lifts so even on a busy day you can usually get away from the crowds. It is expensive but the runs are always groomed and maintained so I don't have a problem with it.
They also rent out everything if you realize halfway there that you forgot your helmet or coat.

Such an amazing place for snowboarding. I rented most of my things from here which didn't take very long. Most people who worked there were from Australia, One guy was saying they all come down here just for the extra money and the beauty of it all. Staff was very friendly! Yes it can get very busy but once me and my family got to the top, not so much! We had so much fun and I cant wait to go back!!

The breakfast and gondola ride Groupon is totally worth it! Large selection of breakfast items although the last hour they tend to run out of a lot of items try to ask for more but they may not being then out after the tray runs out. The waffle maker is fun but very slow at 3 minutes per waffle if the line is long you may spend all your time just for a waffle. The gondola ride is awesome a little cool and windy so strap everything on well or you could drop your valuables. View is awesome. If you are scared of heights it is very high. They have closed cabins or open ski lift chairs. The closed cabins you can move around in to view both sides but the tinted windows don't let you see as well as the one little pen window or the open chair lifts. It's very difficult to look behind you when on the open chair lifts. At the top you get off and can hike if you want but it is neat country so go in groups of 4 or more. There is a sight seeing spot near the top of the chairlift with a good view.
