I enjoyed it, inspite of being ran over by two rude ladies who worked there as I endeavored to go up stairs with my cane and knee braces....other than that the food was great and the service was above par !
I just love this place. The patio area is just Devine. I had my birthday dinner inside and we dined out on the patio for mother's day.

Lake Chalet has always been one of my favorite places to eat/drink and chill. The vibe is nice and I love sitting lakeside on the dock on those warm summer days. Servers are always nice and I love the bartenders.
I made a reservation on Yelp and even received a confirmation email, but when we showed up the hostesses said they didn t have a reservation under my name and that I should have confirmed via text, even though I didn t get a text at all from the restaurant. They were incredibly rude and clearly didn t care about seating us so we didn t even get to sit at a table.
A gem of a place without the SF usual restaurant wait! Recommended

Was there for lunch. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Marissa waited on us and did a wonderful job with menu highlights and history of the chalet. We weren't able to sit outside but the view of the lake is wonderful. For years i've enjoyed the Beach Chalet and now Lake Chalet is on my list for repeat visits. Also, Marissa pointed out their new location in Emeryville, called Honor. Will check it out soon!
Had lunch on the dock the view was beautiful, however, the food was less than mediocre. Seafood pasta is $27.00 and it tasted like a short order cook slopped it together. Quality has gone down and will not go back. Get your sh**t together guys!

Used to be a great place but they've definately fallen off. Ordered a couple seafood platters with some friends for lunch. Shrimp tasted off, oysters were super bland. Defrosted stone crab claws? Really during dungeons season? Only thing I liked was the deviled eggs and ceviche. Which couldve been from just pure starvation.

Service was friendly, but we needed to order from the bar to sit outside. The food was tasty, but expensive, the crispy chicken sammie was $17.

I love this place we have a tradition where every year we come here for Christmas with friends and we set up a table out on the dock where nobody is and have a feast and drink till we're silly. It is the greatest spot and they never give us any Flack for setting up a table in a section that's closed. The servers will even happily serve us. It's a bit pricey but the food is phenomenal the drinks are great and the venue is incredible! I would recommend a spot to anyone!
A great spot for an afternoon snack and cocktail after 4pm is a discount. The sliders are fantastic
Dirty tables, painfully slow service, couldn't get a drink order in to save your life, and seemingly no manager in sight. Food was...okay? It feels like an event space that cobbles together some O'Charley's-esque food when they're not hosting a wedding. I would never recommend this place, and was embarrassed I selected it.

I went to this place on the opportunity to relax and feel like I was back to normal, I order a salad that was $26 plus 2 $13 mango margaritas
I left a 18%tip that I consider fair, I'm not working much but I chose to support our local businesses, i just check my account and they went for 32% tip. Shame on this place! We are all hurting, om trying to help our community to stay a above level and this is how they do you by taking more from your account.
For shame! Will not be going here ever.

Along with her sister establishments (Beach Chalet and Park Chalet in Golden Gate Park) this is a wonderful place for an event or just a meal. Nice menu. Good staff.

Service as bad as we've experienced anywhere. Slow, inattentive, (entire party but one was served. We all waited while server tried to upsell wine to us without regards to missing meal. Soup without spoons. Members of our party (6) had to get up frequently to find server. Soup cold and watery, fish inedible and resulted in food poisoning.)

Decent, but I think it's a bit overrated in regards to cuisine.

My experience with bad service from the manager defeating staff and even the waitress. I only seen my waitress 3 times, the first time I seen her she walked away before I was able to complete an order. the manager seemed not to mind because when I try to call him over he walked away as if I wasn't a paying customer. only good service at this place was from the valet.
I want to give them 5 stars because the food was absolutely delicious and our wait staff were pretty cool too. The problem was we sat waiting for the food fo such a long time! That the only reason they didn't get 5 stars!

Outstanding views with warm wood interiors. Visited for a work event, staff was on point and very friendly. Food was generous and on par for an above average banquet event. Weather didn't cooperate, but the views were still stunning. Good times. :)

Visited 10/9 for a tasting of Ocho Single Vinyard Tequila, happy hour snacks and the prospect of being outside with humans in a convivial place. Drink was good - good stuff this Ocho - and the 2 appetizers we had: a cup of Brentwood corn soup (exquisite!) and an order of bbq chicken wings - very good, all stood out. The service, however, was from slow to bad to non-existent (until I asked for the check when everyone became much more personable and interested). Bottom line: 4 for the food and drink (better than last time I was here); 2 for service, and one of the servers acknowledged this. They don't have their act back together yet, and I doubt they ever will...
This is a wonderful restaurant and bar with great views, amazing drinks and friendly servers. In Summer they have music outside on the patio!
We did not have a reservation, I wonder how different our experience would have been. We were sat next to a large cocktail party, very noisy and obnoxious. They left in the middle of our meal, so we ended on a good note. But the server was very hard to talk to, he acted like he was busy, but it was obvious he only had 2 tables at this point and asking for ketchup was hard. The food was delicious and the view is gorgeous, the service was questionable. Much different experience than The Beach Chalet in San Francisco, it's sister restaurant; definitely recommend that place!
It is beautiful place but the description of the meal was misleading. It listed what was in the salad but the real thing was minimal. Oranges - one slice, pears - one slice, goat cheese - a few crumbles, pumpkin seeds - a few. If the salad actually had a generous amount of all the ingredients that were listed it would have been awesome instead of adequate.

Great views on a rainy day! Feels cozy without being stuffy, despite it being an upscale restaurant. The dining room has lovely views of the lake for dining quietly alone or with a group, while the bar is more social and lively. But the dock on a sunny day is where it's at! Grab a seat and watch the gondolas go by!
Service is solid and professional. You can tell they focus on being polite and courteous without being stiff and snooty. Keeping it classy yet casual!
The ahi tuna ceviche is amazing - with mango and just enough heat to make it pop, and avocado to cool it down, even if the chips are a bit too small and thin to use for scooping. Burger is really solid, apps are delicious if a bit small (not really for sharing), and the calamari and fish & chips are gold standards here. The wine and beer list is reflective of the area - no Bud Light or Mondavi wines - but the bar is full of anything you can think of and more. Love this place when I want to take a break and feel like I'm treating myself to something special.
Yes, its pricey, but my goodness the super perfect food was well worth it. Asparagus ravioli with magic built in. Stunning meal, friendly cool smart staff and you can sit outside and enjoy the Lake. Walk off your meal after at the Oakland museum of art
