Talk about trying to patch a sinking ship, I have a friend who ordered some bokkens from here and was told shipping would commence in 2-3 business days.

Well it has been now 2-3 weeks and he went to cancel his order only to be sent an email saying that they are still being processed and are in good hands.

I don't know if I am missing something here but I think it would be in better hands if it was in his hands right now and the shipping expectations that YOU set in place were true.

They sell knives, they don't actually get. After months of assuring me (not just via the automatic e-mail), that I will get my order, they finally cancelled it and blamed Spyderco for it. During that time I could've gotten the knife somewhere else, but they just told me to be a bit more patient... just to get nothing after half a year. Okay, it was a limited edition and they didn't know, how many they'll get (a bit unprofessional, but ok, that can happen).
Next chance: I ordered two knives, not limited editions. Nearly two months ago. I see the knives everywhere appearing on YouTube and Instagram but I have only the weekly E-Mails, that my order would be in good hands... Why bother to offer items you don't have, just to disappoint customers? A business model, I don't really understand. Fool me once, shame on me... Fool me twice... No Thanks!

I hate giving negative reviews, but when a company loses its competitive edge, and will not price match its competitors, the doors will be closing soon! Bought the XL Espada and found it for $30 less at a competitor, Knife Center would not close the gap for me? Y all need to get that policy up to date with 2020 customer service and online shopping expectations!

Quick easy ordering, super fast shipping, didn't know it was local VA company, which would explain fast delivery, glad to be able to shop locally, and get everything I need quickly, without using Amazon. All products were shipped in perfect condition. Will be shopping here more often.

I would like to say That Knife Center is a complete rippoff. They sent me an axe with a loose head on it. When I called they did not want to hear it, supervisor told me I was completly wrong and that I had to pay for return shipping.
They just took my money and ran!!

This package went missing. KnifeCenter promptly opened a ticket with FedEx. FedEx talked to the courier, then promptly told me it might have been included in a large delivery to the high school 1/2 block away. It was there. I have it and am pleased with the prompt resolution and the goods!

That was the third time I shopped with KnifeCenter recently. Fast shipment every time. This was the only time I needed some special attention. I got it pronto. They have good prices on straight razors, I am sure of that. Also, on the shipping glitch above, KnifeCenter immediately committed to sending the goods a second time if the shipment remained lost. Six stars!

Love buying knives from them. Just got my latest delivery from the Knife Fairy, a Kershaw One Ton. Excellent fit and finish for a knife that was on sale for $20.

I've bought quite a number of knives from them over the years and they're my first choice when looking for a new knife. They nearly always have some really interesting pieces on sale.

I emailed Knife Centre about putting together an order for some knives to be shipped to Australia, which they put together.

After the credit card details had been taken, they emailed a generic letter saying that they would not ship to Australia! (WE SHIP AROUND THE WORD! Is written on their website).

I wrote a letter to them explaining that " before taking someone's credit card details it is polite to write on your website and tell them that you will not ship to them".

After a few emails back and forth, (most of which were a prewritten email) I found Knife Center to be rude, unhelpful and void of any responsibility.
Not wanting to help or deal with the customer, but happy to take my money :)

I found another knife shop on eBay who were cheaper for the same product and totally easy to deal with. I received my knives within the week and couldn't have been more happy.

I have been been buying knives from Knife Center for at least 10 years, at least 100 knives. I have bought Al Mar, Cold Steel (japanese made) , Kabar, Buck, Schrade( American made), Benchmade, Gerber, yada yada yada. I have bought knives for personal use and gifts. Cant't remember any problems ever. I usually receive my knives sooner than expected. Knife center has a superior selection and their prices are as good as anyone. I don't waste my time on any other source.

Edit: I deleted my former review because the issue has been resolved. My order had been misplaced by customs inspectors but Knifecenter has now refunded my money. I'd placed one order previously and everything went fine so that plus their good customer service is why I'll be a returning customer.

EDIT 2: I used the refund to buy the same knife but upgraded to the 2-6 day fedex shipping. I place the order Sunday, they processed and mailed it on Monday, and I had it by Wednesday. That's pretty darn fast for international shipping (Canada).

I bought a CKRT knife off them, and it came shipped in decent timing, and was the model I ordered.
I had a ton of interest form others in this knife, so I took deposits from customers, and bought three more.
After waiting for delivery, and checking the mailbox everyday, I received an email stating that they did not even process; much less ship my order.
They also claimed the type of knife I ordered would require more money, and would have to be sent to send via a different company.

This was the same model I had just had sent to me. With the advertised 9.95$ shipping charge to Canada. But this time they wanted over 4 times the shipping price.

The email also stateed that I did not respond to phone calls that I never received.

The increased price, and extra almost two week delay time caused me to lose my customer and sales.
It was the exact same knife and exact same order. When asked why the second one would not be sent, as the first one was, they said it was a mistake to send the first one.
I guess if you live in Canada, do not order off this company, as there is a 50/50 chance they will ask for more money after the agreed upon purchase price, will not ship 50% of the time, and claim to call you when they did not.

I have placed 2 orders with KnifeCenter. Both came exactly as expected and within 5 days of ordering utilizing free shipping (priority mail). When I say exactly as expected I mean, new, in box, sharp and in perfect condition. I don t know what else you could ask for. Seriously, I don t. I live in the USA so I can t speak to international shipping, and I did not pre-order or order anything out of stock - usually ships in X amount of days... so I cannot comment on that either. What I can say is that I m impressed. Condor Tool and Knife directed me to this excellent retailer after I had a couple of issues with a machete of theirs from Amazon. I m happy they did. I have nothing but good things to say about this business. And the fact that ownership actually responds to comments left by customers makes me even happier I m now giving them my business.
Here is my collection of Kershaw Camp knives, Axe and Saw. All but the Camp 10, purchased from KnifeCenter. My Condor El Salvador machete is not pictured, but it s perfect too.

I have been very happy w/knife center since its beginning. My knife center and all the knives have been excellent and are still in great shape. I depend on them daily.
The people I talk to to order new items are helpful and experienced and courteous. Thank you Knive Center!!!

Mail order, Creca order The next day, the same amount was paid twice at the same time and at the same time. I sent an email immediately but did not receive a reply I finally copied the email of the card company and replied, one said that I paid off and the other refunded, but when I contacted the card company I was leaving It will be refunded properly It seems that it will be automatically refunded after 60 days because the procedure has not been completed! If you are shopping from Japan, please do not buy at this store. Recommended for other knife vendors. I don't know what to do if I buy at such a messy store. Other companies are very kind, so I took care. I was surprised to see many online reviews and many comments from Star 1.

The knife was delivered today.
The blade has many scratches and is widely used.

So sad that Knife center moved from College Park, MD which is 15 minutes from where I live in Silver Spring!! Other than that fact, KC is my go-to online source for everything I need that's cutlery related. They have great prices and excellent customer service. The owner is a down to Earth guy who I've talked to in person several times. KC will always have a customer in me.

I am an avid knife collector, and I've done a great deal of business with Knife Center, though I've had to restrict purchases after some systemic problems became too obvious to ignore.

The company has an excellent website well worth perusing. The selection is enormous, and the presentation of each listing is robust, with good photos. They almost always include must-have info, like country of origin and blade steel.

Alas, the company also has some sort of drop-ship business model in which they offload all their inventory risk onto the consumer. Much or most of what they sell isn't actually in stock. I've ordered knives listed as "available in two to four days" and waited months for them to arrive. And many of those knives they do have in stock do not seem to be handled and stored properly. I have received an extraordinary number of crushed, torn or otherwise damaged boxes. Boxes that should be sealed by the manufacturer have arrived open, meaning KC is recycling their returns into the retail stream rather than returning them to the manufacturer --- maybe because their wholesale purchase arrangement does not allow for it.

Pricing here is hit -or-miss --- competitive on some items, wildly overpriced on others. Always check other retailers before you buy.There is a reward system. It is fiddly and time consuming to redeem anything (you first have to purchase virtual "cards" with your points, then redeem those), but it is reasonably generous.

Customer service is about average, and the return system functions. Returns aren't exactly easy, but in the end I was able to return two or three items on the strength of emails with photos demonstrating the problem, and I was provided with return shipping labels each time.

All told, I suggest that you visit the website and shop, but shop cautiously.

Knife Center has been a great company to deal with! I ordered a product that didn't hold up past its first use, and they took it back with no questions asked. I receive my orders within 2 days and the customer service is amazing. They have a customer for life!
