The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment I stepped in the door. The room was beautiful and clean. We were warned about the early morning construction across the street, which was the only unfortunate part of the visit, but not unbearable. The restaurant and rooftop bar were great, and quite convenient. All in all, a great experience.

This is a hidden gem in Midtown. The rooms are amazing and huge. We had one bedroom suite and plenty of room for family of 4 and all our luggage and shopping bags. Front desk was superb as well as the doormen.

What a wonderful hotel. I almost don't want to tell anyone and keep this info to myself but I just can't. Our family of 4, 2 adults and two 12 year old boys, stayed in the Executive King Suite. From check-in to check-out every moment was enjoyable. The suite was GIANT at 700sq ft, the beds- even the pull out sofa bed, were VERY comfortable. The staff never denied us any reasonable request and always had a smile for us. Honestly not one complaint- even the elevators were fast! Thank you to the staff at The Kimberly for treating us so well and making our trip so enjoyable.

Ideal location if your office is nearby but if not there are better locations. The staff are great and always professional but other aspects of the hotel is lacking. The noise from internal and external sources is significantly. The decor of the rooms is quite outdated too. There is a nice rooftop bar which has an outdoor area.

Elegant, traditional style hotel with very thought...

Elegant, traditional style hotel with very thoughtful amenities, but the heat situation is out of control and ruined my sleep and the following day. If you can't sleep well, a hotel isn't worth it. I spoke with a very kind manager the following morning who explained that the heat is automated, so you really don't have much control from your thermostat. Turning it off or cool does not help. An engineer could've come in (an unwelcome thought after midnight) to manually switch off the heat, but that could make it very cold. It was 73 at check-in and despite leaving the window open overnight, rose to 76 by check-out time! I was dripping sweat and miserable by the time I left, especially after not sleeping well in such heat. I was only offered complimentary water at checkout and when I later happened to speak to a manager was offered a cocktail. That is a kind gesture, but inadequate for the discomfort, sleeplessness and inconvenience, esp. for an expensive night stay. If you book directly online you get 3 rewards (gift cards/credits) for Uber, restaurants, etc. which the front desk was unfortunately unaware of. Bistango is an amazing restaurant that caters to those gluten-free (incl. bread with amazing house made hummus). The aquarium just outside Bistango is beautiful and relaxing.

The hotel was great! Everyone was so nice and very helpful. We brought 2 children with us for their first overnight visit to NYC. We all had a blast. The hotel was central to everything we wanted to do, American girl store, lego store, Rockefeller Center, etc. The room itself was spacious enough that we could go back to our room and relax in between adventures. I also loved the fact that the bedroom was a separate room so we could facilitate naptime if needed. The only hiccup was the elevators. The elevators were small so people would have to often wait on elevators. However, every hotel I have stayed at in NYC seems to an elevator backlog especially during check in. Overall it was great, experience!

A great rooftop bar, but be prepared to pay rooftop prices for drinks. A note to anyone getting the premium open bar package, in still doesn't include much of a selection. I asked for a glass of High West best, and they asked for my credit card. I'd hate to see what they're cheaper packages are limited to.

What a beautiful hotel!!!!
I have to say how intrigued we were upon arrival to our stay at The Kimberly Hotel,....
.Upon arrival felt the utmost pampering to follow our stay ..
The service was impeccable .We felt like we were the only 2 guests there to stay ,yet it looked like all other guests were given the same treatment as to us...
The decor was breath taking ,the food was delicious ,that cocktails were perfectly made ...The rooftop was so warm and cozy with all greens and the beautiful view of the city ..
The room felt like it was our own apartment I m the city ..The moment we walked in ,Isaid I want to move in here...
I would highly recommend your stay in Manhattan to be at The Kimberly Hotel...
We will never stay anywhere else ...

Wonderful staff, truly top notch experience. The suite was beautifully appointed with antique pieces and the enormous marble tiled bath was perfect, even had an attached jacuzzi. The rooftop space was a wonderful experience, sipping single malt near the fireplace enjoying the evening air 30 floors up. Excellent coffee in the morning as well, room service was prompt and quite good. Best place to stay in New York, we even had a balcony off the sitting room.

We reserved a block of rooms for our wedding at the Kimberly, and we stayed there ourselves. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was wonderful to work with, from the start of the process through tracking reservations by our guests to distributing gift bags to our guests and helping us with anything that we needed during the hectic time leading up to our wedding. Plus, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. We both got ready in separate suites with our respective parties, and the rooms were perfect settings for so many beautiful getting ready photos. We would like to say a special thank you to Sara Ayele, the Group Sales Manager at the Kimberly, for being wonderful to work with and really going above and beyond for us.

Nice spacious rooms for a New York Hotel. Beautiful lobby, great location, and helpful employees. Only annoyance was learning that WiFi was 13 dollars which is usually something most modern hotels just include, but great hotel.

Older hotel with rooftop bar on E. 45 St. The bar named Upstairs has indoor/outdoor seating. The night we were there, there was a private event at the bar. Busy and definitely noisy. Fortunately we had our own private party in the private party room. The private room had a minimum charge for a guaranteed number of people. We had a prix fixed menu. The service was excellent but the food was average. We had a pleasant evening but I'm not sure we would book the private room again. Perhaps we would grab drinks at Upstairs instead.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing. We got upgraded to the suite. The suite was beautiful, clean, and spacious for NYC. The location is convinient. It is right by the 6, M, and E subway stations. All the employees we came to contact with were friendly. The upstairs roof top bar was really nice. The hotel also offers a late night room service menu that runs from 11pm- 6am. This was super handy especially a night after partying. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Great hotel. A bit more out of it than our usual place though. Service is great and rooms are big and well furnished. Beds very comfortable and with nice linen. Dropped a star really for noisy air con and fridge but really those are fairly minor.
I think this would be an ideal hotel for a business person who wants something more than just a single room at a very reasonable price for New York.

The restaurants a bit in the back, but you'll see it as soon as you walk in. There isn't too much seating, but it's enough for it's clientele. The service was pretty good, and the food was delicious.

I searched so many hotels for an upcoming trip to NYC. I happened onto this utterly charming hotel. Even on the website this place just seemed different than the cookie cutter chain hotels scattered throughout Manhattan. Everything about this establishment was classy. Being a privately owned boutique hotel, the accommodations and the service are top notch.

I rented a King Bedroom Suite with a balcony. The room had the amenities you would expect to find only in 5-star accommodations, such as bath robes, slippers, stocked snacks and liquor cabinet, stocked refrigerator, daily newspaper, a shoe buffing machine, extra pillows and blankets, fold out mattress for the living room couch, coffee maker, wine glasses, shoe horn, umbrella. A booking even includes pool usage at a local health and racquet club. The king size bed was comfy. The A/C was ice cold (nice after a long day out in the sun on the streets of NYC). The view from the balcony was nice. The hotel staff were the nicest and friendliest people I've ever met in the hospitality industry. There is an aire of family to this establishment, and all the staff have pride.

I spoke with several people staying at the hotel, who have been coming back to this establishment for a decade or more. I can certainly understand why. Because the a Kimberly Hotel is Manhatten's best hotel, hands down. I will never stay in any other hotel when I stay in NYC. The Kimberly Hotel is a veritable diamond!!!

The hotel is only about 3 NYC blocks from 5th Avenue and maybe 4 from Time Square. The hotel sports two very good restaurants on site and a rooftop bar. The subway is at the corner of the block.

Most of the staff are very friendly, there was one or two grumps on the front desk at different times though.

The hotel is an old fashioned kind of nice, big old style furniture, perhaps slightly dated but I liked it. Has everything you need.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Customer service and personal needs are met immediately and perfectly. This is a hotel for the the higher end. If you find a deal? TAKE IT!! IT is worth ever last penny. From the rooms, to the room service and rooftop bar, this is an untouthcable. The cusomer is number 1 no matter what. Any requests, done in an instant. Plus the food here is do die for! All of it is simply perfect. Cooked and seasoned to perfectetion. I'm sure there are not many reviews with young children here, but let me say they were welcomed and greeted and respected as adults. It is a fabulous 5 star hotel. You will have 0 regrets. That's to all!

Staff, room, price and location are quite good. Size of the room is a real bonus in New York. Must be looking for traditional as no contemporary styling here. Bathroom and amenities are very nice along with linens. Evening noise was more than I hoped after requesting a quiet room. Gym is poor but their access to one nearby more than makes up for it. Best bagels in the city are around the corner.
