Great venue for hearing bands, even if a little bit loud.
Great venue for hearing bands, even if a little bit loud.
Really wonderful place in a historic building that is nicely preserved. Parking was easy. The bar was very cosy. Restrooms were quite clean. The best part is the lounge area where you can enjoy music and hit the dance floor. There are few places like this left in the country. Definitely plan a visit there soon.
Had a great experience parking wasn't great. But whatever I had a great time at the Kessler!
Fantastic venue, if a band you like is playing here this will probably be the best place you'll ever see them.
Great listening room, great staff, great cocktails, great talent buyer, great etc., etc., etc.!!!
Saw 10000 Maniacs. Small gathering makes it great and more intimate.
The Best Live Band experience you will find in Downtown!!
Excellent Music Venue, great sound and wonderful staff
Shinyribs knows how to out on a show and the Kessler is a great venue for him.
Very small venue, but sounds fantastic! Balcony seating is the way to go imo. We will return!
Would give it 5 if they fixed the A/C...was miserable hot at the recent Dandy Warhols concert...not the first concert I ve been to there that it s been hot...great, great venue other than that
General admission floor seating is too tight. I won't sit there again.
Nice renovated live music venue in Bishop Arts district.
I thought this was a great intimate venue for shows. That is until I was told I needed to leave as my group was being too loud at a Peep show where they very clearly stated they wanted audience participation. I was never told about the issue until we were asked to leave. I actually think it was discrimination against lesbians. Don't go there unless you are heterosexual. The theater has an amazing sound system! We had a great time.
Incredible little venue - a jewel! Came to see Tom Chaplin in January (of Keane fame), and the staff was amazingly hospitable and genuine. "Kessler Kenny" made certain my friend and I had a wonderful time, told us a good bit about the history of the venue, and made certain our night was absolute magic. Acoustically, the space is well-designed, the lobby area is top-notch (and gorgeous!). The owners' attention to detail is unparalleled, and I will definitely return to see more shows here!
This is our favorite concert venue. So much more personal than most others...
Awesome small/medium sized venue to see some great performances up close. Well-done! Great staff and bar
Awesome venue. Intimate shows that get lost in the bigger venues.
This place was excellent great courtious staff had a blast will definitely go back
Great bands, great acoustics, great bartenders serving great drinks...awesome marquee
Nicely restored old theater with a good booker. Lots of interesting bands play here.
Love this venue! Staff is always great, and we have the best time when we come out!
I love this venue SO MUCH! The only thing keeping me from giving it a five-star rating is that it has been unbearably hot upstairs the last two shows we've attended there.
Nice venue....but get Guinness.
Good sound and bar.
This little gem, can't tell you how impressed with the people and the staff! If someone plays here that you think you might enjoy. THEN GO!
Small easy going venue. Tables and chairs near stage, folding chairs then standing room around the edges. Full service bar in rear. There is also a balcony with a few chairs up to too. Wasn't too hot or too cold. Sound system held up well and doesn't make your ears ring. Parking along street with no issues. Over all clean place and would love to come again.
Great venue for bands and socializing. I like that it's not too big and not to small. Got to see and then meet The Suffers! Wonderful show!
Incredible music venue! The bar is quick and convenient. Always a treat to catch a show here!
Awesome venue to watch live music in Dallas, the acoustics are great, staff is friendly, and the audience is respectful of good music.
The listening room in the Kessler is top shelf. I catch as many shows as possible there. The talent Jeffrey Liles brings in there is astounding. Grammy winner's past and future. You can hear a whisper.
Too small of a venue for me. Very difficult to get a drink at the bar.
Great place. My wife and I have been here several times for live music. It's a reasonably intimate venue with a good dance floor. The staff has always been friendly and the bar is good. Parking is on the streets around the venue and is usually pretty easy.
This is a intimate concert venue with good cocktails. Recently saw The (English) Beat and the show was great. I would definitely go back for another show.
Cute theater in the Kessler area. Smaller than I expected. The upper level (with seating) overlooks the general admission standing area down below in s kind of we will be reading out your sentences one-by-one sort of way. Acoustics seem bad, but it might be the They Might Be Giants sound guy on the night I went.
Great venue, plenty of parking, perfect location, and close to the shopping and Manny eateries in the Bishop Arts District.
Dope saw Caved Mountains and Baboon they rocked so hard
Hands down the best concert venue in Dallas. Makes everything else seem mediocre. The audience respect for the art is the kicker.
The sound was great and I felt like it was a cozy venue for the singer/songwriter show that we saw. They weren't serving dinner that night so we got something at a different cheese shop down the road and then stopped at Nova for an appetizer. All in all though I wouldn't hesitate going back there. The front lobby was nice decor with white leather couches and a cool looking bar.
The Kessler is a very enjoyable concert venue with a decent sized dance floor. I enjoyed seeing the Singapore Slingers and Brave Combo there.
It was great before ,but now with Covid they have space arranged with precautions in place. Great place to go. We loved every second. We saw John Fulbright. Sound system is exceptional.
Wonderful place. Nice and cozy, with a crowd that was a little bit rowdy.
I totally forgot how intimate this place really is. A great sound system with a great band and this place rocks
The Singapore Slingers played. Great group in a great place
Love this venue for shows. Went to our third concert here last night - the venue seems so intimate. It has great acoustics and you truly feel like you're seeing a show performed in your own living room. The bar setup is great, and it is easy to navigate back and forth during the show as needed. The atmosphere is so laid back and comfortable. Looking forward to more shows.
Love this joint. Great sounds. Great atmosphere. Easy to feel connection with the artists
One of my favorite venues for live music. Never disappointed.
Small venue with good sound quality. Drinks are a little pricey though
One of my favorite venues for live music; n Dallas.
Curtis McMurtry opened for his dad, James. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Wonderful evening in the equally wonderful and funky Kessler Theater.
This is a great venue to go see bands. Has an old eclectic feel that is in old Oak Cliff. You get to see bands on a different level in this theater and there is not a bad seat. They also have a bar inside
Best little venue to see music. We drive over from southwest Fort Worth.
Rest in Peace Bill Wisener Of Bills Records the memorial was beautiful
It us in my neighborhood but I have not been there except to walk past it.
I saw Kat Edmonson here a few months ago. The decor is old-Hollywood & the area where the show took place was intimate & well planned for the amount of people that attended. Thank you for having her thete - she is an amazing singer & this was the perfect venue for her.
What a fantastic, simple, elegant place for a show. Easy parking with a homey neighborhood feel, the theater bar is roomy and well kept. Couldnt have been happier to take in a show at this great local spot.
Great staff. Enjoyed the venue and the concert. My legs were cramping from the tight fit and fold out chair.
Great venue. Great neighborhood. Eclectic bookings. Highly recommended. Always police around and have cleaned up the neighborhood quite a bit.
Great venue and lineup of artists. Usually pretty full.
Absolutely one of the best places to see someone you love. Sound is fantastic, atmosphere is intimate, and everyone is always nice and in a great mood, staff and audience included.
You will feel like you just attended a private concert. Very intimate and great acoustics. Drinks at the bar were very good, as was the pork sliders. $6 margaritas and 7$ sliders..that's a great value for a venue like this. Friendly staff, clean facility, free parking, highly recommend.
