Very intimate venue. Not a bad seat in the house! Good drinks and some cool art on display. It was very warm during the show, not sure if this is common. Will be looking for more shows to attend here.

One of the worst live music venues I have ever been to. It might be great when the place is half empty, because what they consider a sold out show is about twice as many people as it should be. The stage is super low and the floor is flat, so at about 20 feet, you can only see the tops of the performers heads. They pack the room wall to wall, with about two people for every square foot of standing room, and standing room is all they have to offer. Cool old building, but extremely poorly laid out. I would never recommend anyone go see a show there.

The Kessler Theater is a fantastic venue. It is immaculatuly clean. (No nasty restrooms!!). It has two bars. Along the sides upstairs is lined with a single row of comfortable high backed seats with a get view of the stage. Down stairs has ~18 round tables that sit four upfront near the stage. Behind these tables are several rows of seats. The Kessler has several little nooks with comfortable seating as well.

It s a cool venue but if you get a standing room ticket be warned that they oversell and there IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM. We paid $50 a ticket and I couldn t see anything the entire show. Literally couldn t see the artist. We stood in the hallway. People pushed us every second to get to the restroom or bar. They even told us when we got there that they over sold the show. Terrible. Will not be coming back.

The Kessler provides an intimate venue for some of the most creative popular music of our time at a fair price and in a distinctive part of Dallas, North Oak Cliff. They also have a friendly staff and parking is close and covenient.

Atmosphere was nice. Good assortment of the types of seats (chairs, high tables, standing, benches) allows all types of people in attendance to be comfortable. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the view.

The music was good but the base for both the opener and the headliner was not clear so I assume it was the sound setup for the place. Overall a great experience.

This is an amazing little gem in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. The ambience of the past experience though the rooms as the audience enjoys the many great musicians who traverse here through time.
The bar servers fine drinks with honest bartenders who know the section quite well. I have enjoyed many concerts and performances here, and I plan to return for many more!

This place is a modern bar with music venue attached, and an art/music gallery upstairs! What more could you ask for in a venue??

The alcohol is a little pricey, and the art on the night we went was an odd sort of "black art" light.
The music consisted of 3 pretty awesome guys including David Ramirez... he was the best! There was a Sitar player in the art area, and an acoustic player in the bar area... good music all around, good beverages, and a huge music venue!

So all in all, i'd highly reccommend it... one star off was for the weird art. We'll be back sometime!

Once inside, the theater itself is fabulous.

Once inside, the theater itself is fabulous.

What I disliked was denied access to handicapped parking in the back of the building.

Upon approach it was noted accessible parking was unoccupied. However, it was also noted both vehicles and traffic cones blocked the entrance to the parking area. When asked if we could access a handicapped parking space, one of the three young men at the back door said, "no ma'am, this is the production's parking area". Several attempts to call the theater went unanswered.

We would have been forced to forfeit our tickets if a space by the door had not come available.

There are several upcoming events we would like to attend but not knowing if accessible parking will be available is a definite deterrent.

First class service. Everyone was very attentive to our group and their needs. The show (Tab Benoit) was outstanding. I highly recommend The Kessler Theatre as an entertainment venue. Thanks for your efforts.

Just a great venue all around. Well laid out, friendly staff, perfect acoustics. Free popcorn to snack on at the bar. Upstairs experience is worth it - small balcony, and a comfy seated bar area.

Saw david Ramirez from the best seats in the house. Bit crammed, (highly recommend splurging for the top floor) but a very classic feel. Also the bartender put a lime in my dos equis. So its fancy.

Great venue to hear local talent or artists passing through town. We saw Marc Broussard with Jackie Vinson and it was a great show. Only bad component is that the KESSLER has no parking so be prepared to park on the street or Blocks away and ride a shuttle.
