The Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata Review

I stayed there for the marriage ceremony of my cousin brother. The hotel staffs were very co-operative & humble. I was delighted by the way they provided service during the marriage. According to me its more of a corporate setting but over all my experience was fabulous.

So, if the Imperial Delhi is a 5 this is one step different. The Kenilworth is the modern incarnation of the old Kenilworth which is still standing at the other end of the grounds and is still used. (Ask for the classic side.) Location is great for tourists and close to the new Tata tower, about 45 minutes from the airport. Aside from 4-star rooms and a decent restaurant, the staff is plentiful, friendly and skilled. No pool but there is parking if you drive (!?) and a spa. A very nice grassy enclave is pleasant at all hours, too. Everything worked for us and the rooms are well-designed (Modern plugs allow just about anything to be plugged in.) and comfortable with effective blackout drapes. Street noise - huge in Kolkata - wasn t noticeable at night. Maybe we were out of it. We plan to return.

The food could have been just a little more better but over all a good experience...

I love this hotel. It is quite (inside), soothing, hygienic and the attendants are reliable. Breakfast is complimentary and very satisfying. When on vacation or visiting Kolkata again, this will be my nest.

First, it has got very good location. They care for their old employees. It has got old world charm. Very good service .

Recently visited the hotel in spite of bing the regular traveller of the place didn't have a idea that there is such a nice hotel in that area didn't stayed but definitely had a lunch at restaurant its was great food & hospitality experienced.

I had a great experience while staying there but... But i m have a very very bad experience using Google Maps reviews feature as I m not able see what some has replied on my review.. so i m going to give 1 to google maps..

It was a nice stay at this hotel. The rooms are beautiful with adequate space. It has wonderful services that include 24 hours house-keeping, house laundry and a lot more. They are very helpful and are ready to serve your needs 24 x 7. The hotel is business-friendly as it includes services like Wi-Fi, high-tech projectors, presentation boards and many more. The other facilities like gym, salon and spa tune the experience a notch up!

Known for its quality and heritage.. located at the heart of the city.. nice place to stay.. they have a big lawn for parties and events.. banquets for meeting.. spa, gym, pool.. food quality is very very good...

I went there for my IPM (IIM-Indore) interview. The Regency 2 hall booked for the WAT round was pretty small and excessively cooled. Even after asking twice to turn down the cooling, there was no effort. Staff is stingy, forced our parents to wait outside instead of the A/C lounge pretty rudely. No idea about food and rooms but seems overpriced for the quality.

One of the luxurious three star hotel located in park street vicinity is worth the money spent.

Had been there for a function at banquet hall, but no wash room at that place. Someone is to ride upstairs for wash room.

Attended a wedding reception. Very well organized and arrangement. Food was very good.

We stayed for 3 days and the services were so good until the last moment. The bill was paid off one night before and we were all ready to check out. The receptionist made us wait because she thought there was an outstanding bill left. Half an hour was wasted for nothing as she then informed that we were over charged. No coordination internally. Also we were given no bill even after asking multiple times since we booked rooms online. Really Disappointing. To be honest if this wouldn t have happened I would have given a 5 star rating cause the services were exceptional.

Good property in the center of city, luckily I was given upgrade hence stayed in a suite room.

Staff was courteous, strangely to pay the bills we had to stand in front of cash counter like old days.

Breakfast spread was good with lot of options. Enough parking space for your car.
