The Kahului Ale House Review

My wife and I order a pizza and a turkey club. Food came out quick and was very tasty. Staff was supper friendly and the cost of the dinner was extremely reasonable compared to of place in Hawaii. We will be going back again the next time we visit

We go here all the time! Everyone knows us and our small kids. The food is always good, and it's family friendly. Love the live music too!!

Good food, good mixed drinks, good live music, friendly but slow service, a bit cramped if you have more than two guests or need room to spread out ... it's a TV sports bar, not the Ritz

Food okay. My burger was overcooked. Husbands salad not good at all. People friendly enough though. May try again ordering something different

Good live music. Tvs for the game. Fun atmosphere. Appetizers are yummy especially the mozzarella sticks! Variety of food for everyone. Clean place and the server was very nice.

Customer Service super good. They work great as a team, I enjoy watching the way they serve tables around us; all the same no table gets better service than the other. They make everyone feel very special and important to serve. I'm not a regular customer but they treat me like 'ohana.

Had a Reuben with onion rings and a basket of fries. Best Reuben I have had in years. Make sure you do 2 things. Order the STEAK fries and ask to sit in Sterling's section. He is on top of his game. Thanks Brotha!!!

Fun local sports bar that also serves excellent sushi and sale. I sat at the bar both visits and got outstanding service from the friendly, attentive staff. I had the bacon, blue cheese burger one night and sushi and grinders the other. All of the food was wonderful. The dining area gets busy early so expect a wait for a table. Plenty of free parking.

Friendly service, tons of TV's, live music was legit. Good sushi and burgers.

Called in to pick up a steak and some sushi. Apparently they can t put sushi in a box for takeout. = Poorly managed

Best sushi on Maui. KAH is in the Ale House. They pride themselves on the highest quality fresh fish. $23 for mini sashimi combo is great for 2 people. My favorite place for the price for sashimi and sushi.

Food typical unless you get the sushi. Very good sushi and live entertainment is always great if a bit loud.

Poor customer service, denied US service people walked in the door, and they got seated instantly, by the same host that told us to sit and wait.( I don't know what's going on I guess they don't want the money that bad, or they can pick and choose who comes in and out their doors.) very upset with these people. Did not do anything but sit there and wait for a table, and just got ignored. Shity customer service. This was a few weeks ago not sure if I'd go back.

One of the best experiences I've had it a restaurant in a long time. The reason for stars and not five is happy hour is only beer and wine, and I think that's just poor business.

The waitress was super friendly very polite it was absolutely a wonderful experience.

I have been to many other restaurants throughout my lifetime where you're always searching for the server when you need one.

This young lady seem to pop up every time we needed something and even when we didn't and it was just great.

I'm a difficult customer and make custom order drinks of which they perfected, and the food was also delicious.

Poke was good evething else was average with above average prices

The wait staff is the best! Hector was my server and made my experience more fun that eating. All the T.Vs helped too

Clean and bright atmosphere, prompt service, food came at a decent time on a Friday night, everything was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. We had the nachos topped with beef, fried mozzarella sticks, baked potatoes halves and lettuce wraps along with some Blue Moon beers. We will definitely come back again!

Great place to watch sports. Very busy during football games. Pizza is excellent.

Always a favorite, but miss the $3 beer happy hour. Now they just discount draft beer $1 during happy hour. I definitely don't go as much as I used to

Great service. Great live music. However every tv was showing a brutal UFC fight and did not go with the local band music. They have pool tables and few people for a Saturday night. Good place to go with friends.

We had a nice meal. But customer service left a lot to be desired. The waitress spent more time standing around gossiping with others. Waited 20 minutes for a coffee refill. When she finally brought it her excuse was she had to make a fresh pot. If she had told me 19 minutes earlier about the need to make coffee, I would give the Ale House 4 stars.

I was surprised about my tab for 31.00 for one rolled sushi and two Coors lights draft beers too!

don't go here. Locals go here out of force of habit, i think. this place is TERRIBLE. Good if you want to watch sports, i guess though, or just get plastered.

Food is good, staff is friendly, atmosphere is lively and often live band/singers. Food is good.

We go there often for lunch n family meetings. The food is very good n consistent in taste n presentation. Very family friendly c many TV screens n pool tables for the kids. Lots of locals n cruise ship visitors. People friendly. Nice Sunday breakfast!

The heavy set guy playing guitar should seriously think about trying out for "The Voice". Wow. Ordered a spicy salmon roll and it was legit, the best sushi roll I have eaten. Service was on point from beginning to end. Wish we could take it home with us.

Food is a bit overpriced and pretty bland. Beer ok. Large tv screens. Bartenders too busy to interact or ask what you need as a patron.. just kids..

Terrible service. We had a group of 7 and they had several open tables but would not seat us until a table for 7 was open even though we were fine with splitting up. We watched as they seated groups that came in after us. They even had a table for 7 open but when we asked they said they have to wait so long before they can seat new customers for certain servers and that server already got a group recently so we'd need to wait 20 minutes. We went home and made tacos. Didn't get past the very poor service at the hostess station so can't comment on the servers or food.

Nice atmosphere and plenty of tables. The sushi bar is very well equipped! Very attentive staff.

Good happy hour. Awesome pina coladas. Didn't eat here but food looked pretty good. Left because the live music got pretty loud. Bartender was great!

Decent local food but the service is typically sub-par. Overall, not a very friendly atmosphere but we love coming here on Sunday mornings to watch football.

Alot of Choices of Draft Beer. Whiskey too. Good chunks of chicken in their tortias. Great portions on the fries and calmari. Service was perfect to keep my thirst for beer at bay, since I was not driving.

Yesterday my friends and I visited your Ale House for the first time. We live in Napili and really only venture over for special events. Last night was a busy Friday night (03/31/17). I mean completely packed bar, and we received the best service we have had in our 4 years living in Maui. Your bartenders are amazing with obvious help from a hard working bar back and whole staff in general. Everyone was friendly, and timely. Our bartender was a short haired blonde young woman, and she was amazing. Best service on Maui hands down. She never stopped moving, kept the whole bar spotless and everyone happy without feeling too rushed. I just want to say thank you for providing us with a great and memorable evening. Mahalo!

Just keeps getting better! The menu features something for just about any taste and the beer selection is the best on the island. Servers are knowledgeable and work hard to make your visit enjoyable. I'd live here if they had rooms upstairs.

Having been actively working in mauis food/beverage and hospitality field since summer of 2003, through present day (if you dont believe me, you can verify it yourself. Look through my profiles on LinkedIn, google and Facebook, call and verify employment with each listed employer if you want) its safe to say that i know what I'm talking about and have a highly validated standpoint (I'm not talking out of my butt).
I have been to ale house, multiple times over the last few years with my bf, on casual drink and dinner dates. It is always a wonderful experience! Nearly everytime we go, there is live, local music, for starters. They have 2 phenomenal menus at night, the regular menu, and the sushi menu, which they have a whole separate sushi bar area that services the whole restaurant as well. I love absolutely everything about the experience: the ambience, lighting, music, crowd, food and drinks! They have an enormous selection of draft beer, featuring many local brews. One of my favorite go to apps, is the spinach dip. Very creamy, served hot, cheesy, filling and perfectly portioned. My boyfriends favorite things to eat are the sushi (most every kind of roll) and the pizza with pineapple and goat cheese. I even have to admit, though i dont like pineapple on my pizza, this pizza is AMAZING! Friendly, fast and efficient staff, make ot a priority to get you what you like!

Kamalani is really unfriendly. Wait staff less than ideal
