The Kabb Law Firm Review

I had a good experience overall. I received a nice Life Care Plan binder that had all the legal documents and explanations I needed to take over my mother's medical and financial authority. I also wanted to get my mother on Medicaid, knowing that she would eventually need long term care for her dementia. If I had to do it on my own I would have never been able to complete the process. There are way too many regulations I needed to know, but with the Kabb firm, they did all the heavy lifting.
The only issue I really had was that the process took longer than expected because of some personnel changes at the Kabb firm, but those are things we cannot control. I had to play the waiting game with other institutions who held my mother's finances 'hostage'. I had to constantly follow up so I could give the Kabb firm the information they needed. My mom had many different accounts and Kabb was able to help me close them and open the necessary ones that would help protect assets.

Rachel Kaab really helped me out with obtaining guardianship for my brother. I had no idea what to do to! Rachel's team and herself really did a fantastic job with the paperwork. I would recommend her for all of my family law issues. Just Plain Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have felt comfortable before & after referring people to them who need their help. I have spoken to a number of their clients, many of whom find themselves being caregivers; without exception they speak highly of the social workers, the planners, lawyers, office staff. I gave the Kabb Law Firm one star for the fact they assured me there was a way to pay for my parents care when I was faced with moving them to an assisted living home. This gave me the confidence to get my parents the care they needed. From there, after paying $12,500 for a years service, it was all down hill. My parents received wills, living wills, durable powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney, and a life plan (a thick binder with general elder care information which also contained the prepared documents) which still wasn t carried out after a year.
Their incompetence was consistently frustrating at a time when I needed to be with my dying father instead of dealing with issues with them. Very poor communication and very hard to get answers, very unprofessional. I made many trips to Cleveland to no avail. I finally decided I could probably do a better job of filing for public benefits myself after Kabb got 3 denials for incomplete filing. My father died in March and I handled all his final business with no help from Kabb. They did call to visit my mother in July, two weeks before our year contract would need renewed for $2500. I sent Rachel a letter and an email and asked her to please return my parents 5 years of bank statements, etc in the mail. Her receptionist called me and said it was too big a pile to send I would have to take yet another day off work and come to their office to pick them up. This review is long but very short for what I went through with them. The difference is care is Kabb s motto. Sadly, that wasn t my experience.

We used Rachel for our Living Wills and Wills. Although we are rather young to be thinking in these terms (late thirties at the time) we know the importance of planning early and making arrangements for our children. It is not something people want to think about but after my fathers unexpected death when I was in my early twenties I realized this is something that you just can't put off. Rachel is amazing in Elder care law but she can help anyone with wills. She made a daunting task very easy.

I had an excellent, terrific experience working with The Kabb Law Firm. They navigated me through the process and WERE SUCCESSFUL getting VA spousal benefits for my elderly mom.
They were compassionate and very knowledgeable about the process. They knew which forms were necessary, and how to fill out those forms properly. They knew that certain items needed to be filled out a particular way. The average person will not know and understand all the nuances that are necessary. I am 100% sure that if I would have tried this on my own I would have been unsuccessful. They knew the ins and outs, the exceptions, the nuances, etc... They even had a hotline number to call in case we needed it, which we did not.
Whenever I contacted The Kabb Law Firm, they got back to me promptly, and were very patient with the many questions I asked. I didn't just speak with the staff, I was able to speak with Rachel, the owner, as well. She truly cared about my personal situation and worked hard to get the best outcome for my mom.

Rachel and her staff were extremely helpful with my parents and guiding them through the maze of documents and benefits. From public benefits to protecting their assets so dad wouldn't lose everything when we had to put mom into an Alzheimer's facility to end of life planning. They had all the bases covered.
