Here for a kids ballet dance performance. Oh those kids can dance and so much energy.

This is a run of the mill theather and has almost everything you expected. Tickets pick up at the window. Waiting area inside. Service drinks by the counter during intermission. And I saw someone bring in an order of sushi from outside. I shoulda done the same. :(

Shows run for about a hour to a half and seats are like a budget airline plane size. If you have long legs, pick a seat by the alias. From the look of it, the place is well run. We have assistance finding our seats and they are all the way in the back. If you don't want to sit, you can also stand in the back.

I think about every seat is the same here with the perfect view anywhere.

I dont think there are much to talk about here except to just write a little bit more. Oh yes super clean seats.check out the pictures I took.

I saw Camille A. Brown & Dancers perform. The performance was electrifying, insightful and amazing. Camille's choreography for Mr. TOL E. RAnce is progressive and thought provoking and woke. Her dance encourages us, the audience to ask questions about stereotypes in the past, present and future. Where do we see ourselves going as a people? "We Wear The Mask..." the poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar.

Great theatre for dance! They have really affordable tickets (starting at $10) for most, if not all their shows, and there's really not a bad seat in the house. Even the partial view front row seats aren't really partial view if you're taller than 5'7". The dance companies that come through here are world class.

An amazing dance venue. An intimate space, allowing you to see the performers' facial expressions as well as their footwork. We have not had a bad seat, and do not think there is one. Thank you to everyone at The Joyce. <3

I saw the Garth Fagan company from a "partial view" seat, and you know what? It was AMAZING. You can't see people's feet from the first row, but you do see every breath, every facial expression, every drop of sweat that flies off the incredible dancers. If you like seeing human beings do incredible feats of artistry with their bodies, come to this theater.

Saw a ballet performance here. I had never been here before, (and frankly didn't know it existed) but I was very impressed with the venue. Good size, very good sight lines, comfortable seats. I will be on the lookout for future offerings.

Loved the Dorrance group and their tap dancing show. The first part was more enjoyable I think because the stage had no more than eight performers so you could watch the footwork. And they they had this melody/dance between the musicians and the dancers. Memorable. The second half was a rendition of the Nutcracker and there were just too many dancers on the stage so I kept falling asleep it was confusing. So I nearly.missed some fabulous costumes of vegetables and flowers!

this is a great little theater in Chelsea that specializes in dance performances...the place looks great, it's very clean and well-run, and the dance troupes that perform there are world-class...it only seats 472 and there's not a bad seat in the house...it's easy to get to via public transportation and the neighborhood is full of interesting places to get a meal or have a drink...highly recommended!

1st time attending a live performance there. It was excellent! The staff was very nice and helpful also courteous to all the senior citizens who may need assistance. It's an old renovated movie theater. Im not sure if they had an elevator to access the balcony, we walked up a short flight of stairs.
Seating there are on custioned wooden
chairs which was ok.
Acoustics and lighting are great. Most importantly the shows are very affordable. Enjoy!

The premiere performance space dedicated to dance in NYC. Dance companies from all over the world come here to present their work. The sightlines are terrific from everywhere in the house. And the snacks and coffee available at the bar are delicious.

It's a great venue for dance. There are almost no bad seats. It's also nice that they let you inside prior to opening up seating. (so if you arrive a little early you don't have to wait in the rain or cold)

My favorite theater in NYC. Consistently hosts the best dance companies in the world from the well known to the up and coming new and emerging talent. Not a bad seat in the house either.

Beautiful theatre! Appears to have been recently renovated. There is not a bad seat in the house, and such comfortable seats, too! We attended the "C" performance of Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Fabulous performance. So enjoyed both pieces in this show. A wonderful afternoon.

This theater should be permanently on your list of places to go to. Dance performances venue. Majority of NYC dance companies and others perform their works there. See Complexions, Momix, Trockadero, and others. Students get discount and dance students get some kind of work study offers, talk to front desk. Inexpensive and high value. Staff are very polite and professional. Best experience I have had.

The best venue for dance performance in the city. It's intimate and with good view of the dancer's subtle movements on the stage. The ticket price is also very reasonable when compared to other venues. Strongly recommend it to any dance lovers.

A really great dance venue-- we sat in the side balconies and had a great view. This place feels nicer and better-kept than many of the performance venues of its size in the city. I'd happily come back to see a show here anytime.
