Wonderful boutique hotel in downtown Dallas! The staff and service is impeccable. The rooms are large with room to spread out and just relax. Within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and sights. The Taschen store is very cool.

Nice hotel but my TV remote was broke and requested a new one. It took several calls to the consiair to get a new remote. Unfortunately, the new remote was also programmed incorrectly. Their food and service was good.

I was walking downtown right outside of The Joule and I saw Chris Hardwick coming out of The Joule. He was nice when we said "hello" and so we stepped in to check out the lobby. It's beautiful.

We visited the Weekend coffee shop inside of the House. The Wifi was excellent, the bathrooms were clean, and the staff was friendly. We will definitely be stopping here again next time we are in Dallas!

Beautiful, spacious rooms in a gorgeous, historic boutique hotel. Beyond that, it has many different eating and drinking options. One of its main attractions is the cantilever swimming pool that gives you the sense you're swimming over the edge. Service is superb here.

This was BY FAR the WORST hotel stay either of us have ever experienced, beginning with the valet that believed they must be a NASCAR pit stop crew and rushed us to get out of the car and drove off with our belongings. After waiting 30+ minutes for valet to bring back the things they drove off with so that we could check in we were sent to a horrible room with plumbing and television issues. Then waited over an hour to be moved to a SMALLER room that had no cable, no live television, an a/c that didn't cool the room, and other issues. The shower grout looked as though it had not been cleaned in some time. After saving for our celebration weekend, we are HIGHLY disappointed in the accommodations provided. I have requested to send details of stay to Tim Headington, but have been denied. We have emailed, called, and left messages. The last message was left for Michael Hernandez as directed by Guest Services. We should have NEVER been charged a dime for the fiasco and extreme frustration caused by the numerous hotel issues that were never resolved.

They REQUIRE a credit card... I wanted to pay for 8 of my family members to stay here while in town for a family reunion. They would not take my CASH! I LITERALLY BROUGHT IT WITH ME TO THE HOTEL TO PAY FOR THREE NIGHTS STAY FOR 3 PEOPLE! I am mainly posting this to notify the management staff. Helvus Thompson literally turned over a thousand dollars away! I won't beg someone to take my money. The Magnolia next door was more than accommodating and were pleased to charge me almost $1700 for 3 rooms 3 nights.

My experience is from working there as part of a staffing company. I showed up on time and the lead from this horrible company called The Staffing Company was super late. Noone else from The Staffing Company was there yet. So I asked a couple employees what I could do, and they said they didn't know. So I excused myself to the restroom while waiting on the lead. Fast forward to near the end time, which I had no clue what it would be, I was polishing glasses in a hallway at 10:20 , then went to use the restroom & at same time let my ride know I didn't know when I would be out yet. Got back , and the staff at The Joule took it upon themselves to change my in time and out time, docking me an hour. NOT COOL! And of course, this Crappy staffing company took their word over mine(people I have worked with for 15 years) . SO Dissapointed and frankly pissed at the ethics of the situation.

Had training there and our tables were nicely setup with fresh ice and water to self serve. When we would leave for a break and come back they would switch your water glass with a brand new clean one and refill the pitcher it was really nice. They were always restocking the tea, coffee and water in the back and you would never even know they were in there. The lunch that was provided to us was a little disappointing, I expected something very grand. They served some salad, salmon, potatoes, and the other option was tacos. I thought that was a little weird for this type of atmosphere and meeting. But I guess I can't really complain since it was provided to us. But all in all the Joule is beautiful the staff is amazing always opening doors, never catch them slacking!

Nice

This is one of my favorite places in the area to stop by for coffee. It is an good place to grab a latte to go, stay to work, read, or meet up. It also helps that the cocktail bar downstairs and restaurants are also great options after coffee.

Great experience!! They greeted us with bottled water and champagne at check in. Everything in the hotel is beautiful and very artful! Loved our room so much and the bed was super comfortable. We ended up having dinner downstairs at Americano so we never left the hotel. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the summer to check out the pool!

Love the attached bar and restaurant, Americano. Spectacular food and service. I found the lobby bartender more knowledgeable about her selection of liquor than most upscale cocktail lounges.

We celebrated my sister s birthday at THE JOULE last weekend. The experience was excellent all around. Dinner at CBD was fantastic and we had plenty of space to breathe at around 10pm after a few drinks. Staying upstairs was pleasant but the view from 612 was minor. You ll want a room facing either North or South. My sister handled the planning and even though she received an email that said the pool was open and heated, I was disappointed that was not the case. For this reason alone I demoted a star. We had champagne delivered to the room then walked to pick up snacks at the bodega up the street. The location of the hotel is prime, and has entrees with valet on both Commerce and Main Street. The next morning, we sat in the lobby and sipped lattes. The book store and general store offered much entertainment and any necessities you may have needed for an overnight stay.

I just got back from a wonderful stay at the Joule with some girlfriends for a mommy-getaway. We were blown away by this place. Not only is this hotel aesthetically pleasing, but the staff really seeks out to accommodate their guests. There was a problem with the heated pool and the manager went above and beyond to make up for it. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and also be sure to visit again! A special shout out goes to the front desk manager, Peggy (house keeping) & Darrel (house car driver) - thank you for making a group of moms from Waco feel extra special!

Difficult to find the building (the "sign" is just the letter j) and the valet staff were in front of a completely different building with no discernable indication they work for Joule. The food was mediocre at best and the elevator operator (you are not allowed to operate it yourself) left us waiting for 5 minutes to go up and 15 minutes to go down. It is also worth mentioning this is not a family friendly part of town.

I wanted to thank The Joule for helping us through the recent power outage in Dallas. We lost power and had nowhere to go with our three dogs...we were treated like family from the moment we arrived. Dan assisted us with check-in and he was patient, compassionate, and very professional. We will definitely return!
