The Jones Law Firm, P.C. Review

I retained April Jones for a divorce. She never could remember how many kids I had. She and her paralegal work like this.
"I will work on this today"
5 hours later
I received email that they have questions and please call.
(Only have 20 minutes before they leave for the day)
Call to no answer.
Get charged.
The separation agreement and any document that was sent to me "drafts" I had to edit myself. Every document was a copy of someone else's document.
In the separation agreement "draft" was a copy of another's. I was a female and and everything was in favor of the spouse.

In adequate, but managed to take the entire retainer before I switched counsel.

I chose this place to do my divorce paper work n I just picked it randomly. They gave me what i was expecting to have. They gave me very convenient price, honest n on time with everything. Idk what to say but Thanks all of you guys, thank you Emily thanks for being super professional.

I did a web search in need of a family lawyer. After speaking to several over the phone and being told there was no hope for my case, I received a call from this firm encouraging me to come in and at least do a review. After sitting with them for 30 minutes, they were able to find a few loopholes and possible avenues and in only a few months had my case won. David Collins was my attorney and I have no doubt this gentleman has met his calling. He is smart, kind and does whatever it takes to advise you in the best possible ways and gives you hope. His team meets and reviews your case regularly so you get the power of a firm behind the attorney. The support staff is efficient, thorough and friendly. I have no words to begin to thank them for all they did and they are worth every penny. You can't do it alone, so why not have a valuable team in your corner. Highly recommend them!

I would not use this place it isn't what they say on the website about quality lawyers all they want is your money for no work performed. You can't get a hold of anybody there when you need advice or answers about your situation. This place stinks

Andrew Stein, with Jones Law Firm, did an excellent job handling my divorce for me. He is very professional and easy to communicate with. He took away a huge amount of stress because I knew I was in good hands and wouldn't be let down. With Mr. Stein's expertise, my divorce went very smoothly and it wasn't drawn out like me so many are. I would recommend Andrew Stein highly to anyone going through a divorce. He's the best!

Blatantly took advantage of emotionally fragile people, including my 1 year old son, for their financial gains. April and her firm are the definition of what people dislike about attorneys. An even greater travesty that there s a small child in her ads given their tactics of alienating children from parents.

Patrick is terrible. He only cared about money and not taking care of us as his client that paid way more than necessary.

Ms. Jones was my attorney in 2002. She is sharp, quick and strong and we won my case decisively. I am currently having Ms. Jones represent me again on another issue in 2010-2011. Based on my observation, Ms. Jones is sharper and stronger and has attained greater knowledge and insight. I have noticed that Ms. Jones desires to win each case with integrity. She cares about her client's welfare at all times. Ms. Jones' best quality as an attorney is her ability to take charge; she is quick witted and responsive. I have recommended Ms. Jones to my friends and co-workers.

Do not trust these guys. They will drain your account. Charged for 10 minute phone call $30.00. Showed up late for court date,didn't know what time it was . Sent my case file to the wrong venue. And tried to charge me for the mishap. If I was you I wouldn't recommend this firm go else where.

Although it is not a fun and easy process, April and the Jones Law Firm team was able to streamline the process for me as I went through this rough situation.

Website states free consultation, but they want $200 to meet in person. Confusing to say the least. Male who answered the phones was rude and did not want to listen to my concerns. I would recommend staying away.

April settled my case literally out in the courthouse hallway.
I had a landlord that failed to make promised repairs to my apartment. I was paying for a two bedroom,two bathroom place but only one bathroom worked. He said he would repair it when I moved in but 7 months went by and he was still making excuses. He lived in hawaii, the apartment was in california and he used that as his excuse. I decided to stop paying him until he fixed the bathroom I had BEEN paying for. After 3 months of that he arrived at my apartment and decided to take me to court rather than fix the bathroom and collect back rent which I had been holding onto. April negotiated a deal before we went into court for an immediate cash payment for 1 month and I could take a week to move out. My landlord accepted and a possible unlawful detainer ruling was avoided. I was able to use the 2 months rent I still had to find another apartment which would have been much harder to do with a unlawful detainer on my record.

Patrick and Monica were very helpful during the whole process of trying to gain full custody of my daughter. They both are very knowledgable and were able to answer any question I had. Definitely recommend their services if you want the job done. They will go above and beyond for you!

I retained their firm after being served with a Motion for Retroactive child support. The Petitioner had filed the motion seeking an additional 16 years of child support for the years before she had originally filed a motion to initiate child support.

At a hearing, the Court agreed that you were subject to retroactive child support and ordered you and the Petitioner to attend mediation. Before I actually attended mediation with the Petitioner, the Court, on its own volition, revisited our motion to dismiss the motion for retroactive child support.

They originally filed a motion to dismiss the motion for retroactive child support because the Petitioner had waited more than two years to seek the retroactive child support after becoming aware that she could.

The Court agreed with our legal argument and event cited the law in her dismissal of the motion for retroactive child support.

Without their assistance and due diligence, (not to mention, their dedication to obtaining a fair judgement) I would have been faced with a dire financial situation. I can say with certainty that I would not have had the same outcome without their representation.

They were thoughtful throughout the whole process, and made sure to treat me as an individual with specific needs and concerns, and not just another case file.

Patrick Barkman was really helpful and understanding. He went out of his way to make sure everything was squared away at all times. He was honest and I could relate to him.

These lawyers are dishonest and do not care about the best interest of their clients, but rather the best interests of their pockets.

Notably, they have over billed and when this has been raised as a concern, the incredible response from April Jones herself was a lot of people spend 50k.

Also, she took an additional $3500 retainer just before her lawyer (who had been mainly responsible for my case) left her firm without telling me this would be happening. On top of that, she went behind this lawyer s back attempting to retain clients (or more appropriately, customers).

In the most difficult time of my life, April Jones was there for our family. I am SO thankful for April and her team! She personally went well above and beyond the call of duty on my custody and child support case and helped me out of a nightmare situation with my ex-wife and restored balance and fairness in my family. I am happy, and most importantly the kiddos are happy!! Thank you SO much April for all you do!

I was referred to April Jones by a trusted source to handle a very difficult legal family matter. I was new to Denver and didn't know where to turn. After our initial consultation, I knew instantly she was the legal professional I wanted and needed to represent me.

I retained a different attorney which took a $5,000.00 dollar retainer and dropped me as soon as my retainer was used up, which put me in a way worse position then when I retained the first attorney which is a story all by it self. Andrew Stein with The Jones Law Firm took over my divorce, and they went right to work on my divorce, Andrew gave me his cell number incase there was an emergency. When I ever called he always returned my call with in a reasonable time. or he texted immediately!! He is very knowledgeable and was very easy to work with.. The Jones Law Firm got my divorce done so fast!!! I think the price was very reasonable. I will always give my endorsement to the Jones Law Firm.
