Seemed overpriced to me. Paid admission for Fat Tuesday and got some beads and 2 hour concert. Didn't care for the drink specials. At least the food was good.

What a fun place! I do with the ceilings were higher for acoustic value, but otherwise I loved the experience
I purchased tickets to see Walter Beasley. However, he was unable to perform due to a family emergency. Ticketfly was very cooperative and willing to provide a full refund. The Jazz Kitchen did find a replacement; Michael Lington. Mr. Lington was phenomenal. The show was more than expected. The food was delicious! The service was great!
Great live Jazz Singer! Wonderful dishes and friendly staff.
Great venue for live music. Food is good, but really overpriced.
Cool atmosphere, awesome theme nights. I gave it 4 starts because I think it is overpriced for what it is. The food is good but nothing exceptional and the drinks are definitely more than they should be. Overall, had a good time and would go back but won t visit too often to avoid the price tag.
Outstanding venue! Food on point, seating very good...The greatest place in Indy to hear great live music!
A very professionally crafted listening room for creative artists to ply their craft to appreciative audience.
Always amazing. Throughout the week I look forward to coming here every Friday night. Staff is great, bands are exceptional. Highly recommend for an outing or a celebration
We had a great time!! The food was delicious and entertainment:
AWESOME!! Euge Groove!!
Great jazz venue! Just happened to stumble across this place while visiting Indy and I'm so glad I did! Amazing musicians and very reasonable cover fees. Friendly people and great vibes. A lot of good options around too if you want a bite to eat before or after a show.
Arrived 9:40pm, Doors locked until 10pm. No outdoor heat lamps. Great ambiance and great event. Appeared to be very different from normal operations. Extremely Festive, food was lacking, bar only, no waiters.
Love this environment! Great music, food, service and friends! What more could you ask for?
The sever was curt and unfriendly, my dirty rice tasted like it was made with catsup. The dance segment was on point and I had a blast participating
Always a great place to go and food is always good.
this place is ok. To me, the food isn't as good for the high prices. But the music sets a great atmosphere.
What can I say, AMAZING!!! The music was out of this world. My boyfriend and I went on a date here to see a female artist he knows(sorry I can't remember her name). They sit you with people you may not know, which turned out to be ok. The food was good. We had carrot cake for dessert. The only thing bad was the carrot cake being too cold. Overall experience was an A+.
Good service, phenomenal food and stellar entertainment!
Great music and food. Latin night Thursdays and great Jazz shows through the month. Best plate is the "Paella for 2".
This is a great place, good food, and a great atmosphere
Awesome show with a great atmosphere, good vibes and good drinks! Love love! I'll be a regular here for sure
Was great experience enjoyed myself and the food was awesome.
Nope. Very judgemental people especially the manager.
I love going dancing at the Jazz kitchen and also their tribute events.
We've been to the summer outdoor venue a couple of times and had appetizers but it had been a while since we've eaten there. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for! The portions were large and the service was outstanding. Great acoustics for the space. We had a wonderful date night.
If you like jazz and good food this is the place to go.
Really enjoyed the smooth jazz sounds of Mr Kim Waters!
Fantastic place! Everything is delicious, very friendly and great music.
I love this joint. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Consistently good food and great artists. I don't know when I'll be back, but I will be back. Thanks Jazz Kitchen!
Great atmosphere! You never go wrong with a live band ! I'll always go back!
To be fair, tonight's visit was during the jazz fest. I would normally visit outside of these special events, but, today was different. The music was great and they are finishing strong with this last act, Badiri Asad. The food was from Yats. While not my favorite, it was okay. I did have my heart set on the JK's paella though. I will stick to visiting on non-event days to get my JK fare.
Excellent food and music. Making a large party reservation was painless.
You're not going for the food or the drinks...you're going to hear national recording artists play the best of their best! There's not a bad seat in the house. Order a drink and let the music take you away!
The best place in town for live Jazz. The food is great too.
Good food and a great atmosphere. I had the crab cake po' boy and it was very tasty... good fries too. Service was excellent as well. The music for the night was absolutely outstanding... drummer Simon Phillips and his band Protocol were there, and they were awesome. The sound guy did a good job too. Great experience!
The Jazz Kitchen is the perfect place to consider when searching for a small, intimate setting for a nice dinner while enjoying a nice, smooth jazz session. The Jazz Kitchen concerts features some of the most well known artists of that genre and introduces a vast diversity of local singers and musicians. It is one of the best venues in Indy for easy listening. Their only downside is the parking, so get there early.
Called ahead yesterday to make reservations, just to eat. Was assured by staff that if we came early and were gone by showtime wouldn t be an issue. No reservations available for just a meal. Arrived today, right at 5pm and was turned away, because the show was sold out. Disappointed. Was turned away nicely enough, but would have bought tickets had I been given that info up front.
Great entertainment, great ambiance. But the food, especially at the prices, needs improvement.
Great food and great music in an intimate setting...alittle loud and not good for talking...but a fun evening out
I don't have much to say, because it was so loud that I left 5 minutes in. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to go deaf.
Great live music, open mic, drinks and food. I believe the shrimp po boy could have more shrimp on it for the price but overall great experience.
First time going very friendly atmosphere the band was amazing!
Great experiences. We were present for a jam session and enjoyed the open atmosphere among the musicians. We had dinner but would have liked to enjoy more, our waitress however, didn't provide the best attentive service.
My wife and I bought tickets to a show a week in advance for the second show at 9:30pm. When we got there they had let everyone from the first show take all the seats. So we had to sit at this small table in the middle of the room with another couple we didn't even know.
Came for the Sade tribute. The music was very good. The sound system was amazing!! As a singer I wanted to grab the mic just to try it out because the sound was so clear. I had the Not so cajun pasta. It is a huge serving, spicy and delicious. I will be back again.
Fantastic! It was better than expected and the food is top notch. This a the place for you if you love live music. We can't wait to go again.
Seriously. So good. Great music. *Great* crowd.
AND THEY SERVE FOOD!
I didn t eat here cuz I m an idiot but the menu is Spanish/New Orleans and everything that I ve seen come out looks and smells amazing.
Don t be an idiot.
Euge Groove was AAA-MAZING! Absolutely phenomenal show!
Amazing live jazz. Seeing Dave Weckl preform was well worth the price of the ticket. Otherwise... Meh food (I had the crab cakes, they were OK) and overpriced drinks make the 15 dollar minimum food/beverage order hard to swallow. I didn't spend any time at the bar, but you can still hear the music while throwing back a cocktail. My only real complaint is that the seating in the stage area is very uncomfortable. Cramped, overcrowded and with thinly padded metal chairs one would find at a cheap banquet hall. My body was contorted, stiff and sore after a couple of hours. So in short: Go for the live music, leave as soon as the set is over.
I HAD A BLAST! At the Thursday Night Salsa Party! Great music fun people, good drinks! Whenever I come back to Indianapolis I'll make sure I'm there on a Thursday night!
A fantastic small venue, great food too, usually two shows per night. Go give it a try, guarantee you will be going back.
Great place to be, cool music, wonderful food. Atmosphere awesome
Try it
Great music and performance as always. Food wasn't that great tonight but I'll be back.
This place was AMAZING! My wife had the walnut salmon, and we both really liked it. I had the filet topped with crab meat and it was the best steak I've had in months. They started with meat fron Kincaids, and cooked it just right. It was SOO tender, and flavored just right. It was a true treat for us!
Just as we remembered. Fantastic atmosphere and service!
It was an amazing show wonderful food and great hospitality ...next time we are in town we will definitely be back
I love it,hadn't been in a few years, the new renovation mind blowing had a great time.
I enjoyed a great show, four women, unknown to me, playing Guitars and singing original songs. Loved it and the food.
One of the best dining experience of my life. Enjoyed the food immensely, and the music even more. Def coming back
I love going to The Jazz Kitchen and listening to all of the talented singers and musicians. It was good to see Larry (drummer) and my aunt's brother who were both playing that night.
