I purchased tickets to see Walter Beasley. However, he was unable to perform due to a family emergency. Ticketfly was very cooperative and willing to provide a full refund. The Jazz Kitchen did find a replacement; Michael Lington. Mr. Lington was phenomenal. The show was more than expected. The food was delicious! The service was great!

Cool atmosphere, awesome theme nights. I gave it 4 starts because I think it is overpriced for what it is. The food is good but nothing exceptional and the drinks are definitely more than they should be. Overall, had a good time and would go back but won t visit too often to avoid the price tag.

Great jazz venue! Just happened to stumble across this place while visiting Indy and I'm so glad I did! Amazing musicians and very reasonable cover fees. Friendly people and great vibes. A lot of good options around too if you want a bite to eat before or after a show.

Arrived 9:40pm, Doors locked until 10pm. No outdoor heat lamps. Great ambiance and great event. Appeared to be very different from normal operations. Extremely Festive, food was lacking, bar only, no waiters.

What can I say, AMAZING!!! The music was out of this world. My boyfriend and I went on a date here to see a female artist he knows(sorry I can't remember her name). They sit you with people you may not know, which turned out to be ok. The food was good. We had carrot cake for dessert. The only thing bad was the carrot cake being too cold. Overall experience was an A+.

We've been to the summer outdoor venue a couple of times and had appetizers but it had been a while since we've eaten there. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for! The portions were large and the service was outstanding. Great acoustics for the space. We had a wonderful date night.

To be fair, tonight's visit was during the jazz fest. I would normally visit outside of these special events, but, today was different. The music was great and they are finishing strong with this last act, Badiri Asad. The food was from Yats. While not my favorite, it was okay. I did have my heart set on the JK's paella though. I will stick to visiting on non-event days to get my JK fare.

You're not going for the food or the drinks...you're going to hear national recording artists play the best of their best! There's not a bad seat in the house. Order a drink and let the music take you away!

Good food and a great atmosphere. I had the crab cake po' boy and it was very tasty... good fries too. Service was excellent as well. The music for the night was absolutely outstanding... drummer Simon Phillips and his band Protocol were there, and they were awesome. The sound guy did a good job too. Great experience!

The Jazz Kitchen is the perfect place to consider when searching for a small, intimate setting for a nice dinner while enjoying a nice, smooth jazz session. The Jazz Kitchen concerts features some of the most well known artists of that genre and introduces a vast diversity of local singers and musicians. It is one of the best venues in Indy for easy listening. Their only downside is the parking, so get there early.

Called ahead yesterday to make reservations, just to eat. Was assured by staff that if we came early and were gone by showtime wouldn t be an issue. No reservations available for just a meal. Arrived today, right at 5pm and was turned away, because the show was sold out. Disappointed. Was turned away nicely enough, but would have bought tickets had I been given that info up front.

Great experiences. We were present for a jam session and enjoyed the open atmosphere among the musicians. We had dinner but would have liked to enjoy more, our waitress however, didn't provide the best attentive service.

My wife and I bought tickets to a show a week in advance for the second show at 9:30pm. When we got there they had let everyone from the first show take all the seats. So we had to sit at this small table in the middle of the room with another couple we didn't even know.

Came for the Sade tribute. The music was very good. The sound system was amazing!! As a singer I wanted to grab the mic just to try it out because the sound was so clear. I had the Not so cajun pasta. It is a huge serving, spicy and delicious. I will be back again.

Seriously. So good. Great music. *Great* crowd.

Amazing live jazz. Seeing Dave Weckl preform was well worth the price of the ticket. Otherwise... Meh food (I had the crab cakes, they were OK) and overpriced drinks make the 15 dollar minimum food/beverage order hard to swallow. I didn't spend any time at the bar, but you can still hear the music while throwing back a cocktail. My only real complaint is that the seating in the stage area is very uncomfortable. Cramped, overcrowded and with thinly padded metal chairs one would find at a cheap banquet hall. My body was contorted, stiff and sore after a couple of hours. So in short: Go for the live music, leave as soon as the set is over.

This place was AMAZING! My wife had the walnut salmon, and we both really liked it. I had the filet topped with crab meat and it was the best steak I've had in months. They started with meat fron Kincaids, and cooked it just right. It was SOO tender, and flavored just right. It was a true treat for us!
