Our stay started rough - I did not realize how small the rooms were and we needed a much bigger room. I wasn't impressed with the customer service at first either - but it turned out to be just one person, the first person who checked us in. After talking about my concerns with the manager, they gave no hesitation in upgrading the room and addressing my concerns.
The rooms have that classic feel, beds were comfortable, staff ended up being very pleasant, polite, and attentive. The restaurants are amazing, but a bit pricey. Overall, a very nice stay.

The room was extremely small and the bathroom needed to be updated. There were no safety bars to get in or out of the tub. A sink with no vanity, I had to place my toiletries on the TV stand. The rooms however were clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was good ,but dinner in the lamplighter restaurant was very poor. . A waiter took our order and disappeared. There was a waitress trying to take care of everyone in the room. People that came in after me were served before me. Really felt sorry the the young lady. I was very disappointed and feel a local motel probably would of been cheaper and more accommodating.

I stood at the Pocono Manor for a weekend getaway and I am already trying to find a time to return. From check in to check out everything went very smoothly. The guest rooms were bigger than I expected and extremely clean. The resort had a very homey feel with fireplaces scattered throughout. Absolutely beautiful resort and the food & bar service was outstanding.

A really nice place nestled in the middle of the Poconos place you can go and park your car and not move for 2 or 3 days plenty of activities several restaurants nice bar lots of fun they have specials checked their website would recommend it to everyone just got to watch your receipts some of their servers need a little more education and customer service

The hotel itself is very beautiful, and has amazing views and grounds. However it's pretty dated, you feel like you're in the 1920s. The room was clean and has a beautiful view. Room came with free breakfast, the Buffett is only Saturday and Sunday. Rest of the time it's a fixed small menu that you order from. Staff got their job done but wasn't overly friendly or helpful, something that you'd expect from a hotel like this. The bar here though is very over priced and has a very limited menu.

Hotel has plenty of things to do though. There's archery, golf, horse back riding, rod club, indoor/outdoor pool, arcade room, small indoor movie theater, kids room.

I would definitely return here and recommend this place. Only other thing I'd recommend is checking with guest services to make sure what you're looking forward on doing is open, because if the off season things tend to be closed or have different hours/days of operation.

The staff was very nice. A travel agent booked our stay. It was truly not what I expected. Probably during the 50s and 60s it was a four star resort. The room smelled damp like a basement. We had to make a late night run for antihistamines so that I could sleep. During our last day, I noticed a large water stain on the top area of the curtain. If I had noticed it on the first of our two nights, I would not have stayed. I am allergic to mold. The carpet was dirty. The mattress was hard. I woke up with a backache. The sheets appeared old and a little worn. The bathroom was small with a very low ceiling. No fridge or coffee/tea maker in room. I enjoyed golfing there but I won t stay there again nor would I recommend.

Extremely over priced for what you get. Rooms very old and out dated. No bath tub in room just a very small shower which you need to close the door of the bathroom in order to access. Walls are paper think we could hear the dog barking in the room beside us. Food mediocor, bar extremely over priced with slow service. Would not stay here again for the price.

If I could give this a lower rating I would, the staff is courteous however the entire building needs renovations, the manor has a musty smell and within our room there was mold build up in the corners of the bathtub, a rust ring around the sink and along the length of the entire hallway it would appear that there was some type of water damage judging by the heavy brown spots scattered throughout...very old fashioned, shower head had a lime build up as well...staff would not refund although we literally checked in and immediately checked out after viewing the room...I definitely do not recommend this manor to anyone looking to enjoy the sought out comforts of what a getaway should be

My visit at Pocono Manor was very frustrating they have groups of kids that are very active and loud which is normal. I think that the staff should have common sense or courtesy to put the teenagers on one side of the hotel and regular guest on the other side of the hotel staff are nice but rooms are very cold. Prices for food is off the chart. Sign DT

This place was very quaint and cozy. Our first room didn't have hot water but they moved us with no problem. We stayed for 5 nights during the week before the Christmas holiday and wished we had a microwave and fridge, but the place was adorable. It was also dead - it was like having our own private resort. There is a gym and stables to ride horses even in the winter time. Close to restaurants, the casino, and "slopes". Very affordable hotel and nice change of pace from the normal chains. They had a pool table, ping pong table, piano, place to play poker, pool - but no hot tub (closed for the season), fireplaces to play games in front of, and restaurant and bar.

I like to add that I did extensive research of the area and hotels. I knew I would be taking a risk based on what I read, but I am so glad we stayed here. I would visit again.

It's fine. The halls did have a slight odor but the rooms did not. The bathrooms could use updating but I find that true of most hotels in the area. The staff was friendly and the common areas were clean so this is an average hotel for an average price.

A disappointing place to stay.

A disappointing place to stay.

This resort and spa felt more like a Budget inn. Made reservations for a spur and spa package. placing three separate phone calls to be one hundred percent sure that everything we wanted to do was in the package and if there are any type of restrictions for height or weight requirements for horseback riding. We were told that there is nothing to worry about we would be receiving special vouchers that would allow us to show up and participate whenever we wanted. Having read conflicting information on the companies website I called back again I was told the same thing that was previously stated that there was no worries.

Upon arrival to the inn at check-in we were asked if we had made reservations. Explaining to the lady at the front desk what we were told over the phone, she had stated that that information was completely wrong and everything we wanted to do required reservations. and that we needed to call the events immediately and see if there is any openings still available... There was an opening at the spa but we were unable to go horseback riding. in an effort to correct something the hotel did refined us some money towards our package however it would have been substantially cheaper to just booked the room and paid for the spa out of pocket.

The room was small and quaint for a nice weekend getaway. However the paint in the hallway leading up to the room was peeling. The ceiling in the room had brown stains from some kind of leak. The sink in the bathroom leaked from the faucet handles so you could not place anything on the ledge of the sink, and it took running the tub over 5 minutes to get hot water. At $200 for one night I expected a lot more. Even Budget hotels include breakfast, room amenities like a Keurig and a mini fridge, and A/C that blowes colder then 68F

The spa was the only redeeming quality of this resort. The downside is even though it's a package for two there's an additional $38 charge for a couples room instead of separate rooms.

My first and probably last time there. I purchased the snowflake package online which was additional to the room rates. The front desk wasn't sure what that was. Then a manager told me it was snowtubing at Big Boulder Mountain which was 30 minutes away from the Manor. No shuttle service as mention online either. No ice fishing, no other winter attractions on or near the Manor. False advertisement. Also, the place is very outdated and depressing. The pizzaria restaurant mentioned is a one man shop hole in the wall. The rooms are very noisy and all you hear are room doors slamming. I was woke up a few times especially when a few guests we were yelling. No sound proof walls. We booked two night and only stayed one because we couldn't bear the noise. Rooms and bathroom are small. No room refrigetator either and it took me half an hour to figure how TV worked waiting for front desk service to show up but didn't. The worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Place is old, outdated, and trashy. Prices are way too high and mysterious charges on your card with many of the people I stayed with. Other reviews they state they are in renovation but it's 2013 and nothing being done and those posts were from 2010. I would call this place extortion.

Our friends booked a Groupon for the Inn at Pocono Manor so we went. The confirmation said 4pm as the check in time. We waited on the line patiently for 30 minutes only to be told our rooms were not ready. We waited over an hour for our rooms to be finished by housekeeping. We did not receive any apologies, rather Jesse and Lana at the front desk kept saying that check in begins at 4 pm when it was 5:10 pm and we still were not checked in. We went to the outdoor pool to find it filled with bugs and dirt. We went to the indoor pool and the water was so cloudy that I couldn't see my own feet. Our bathroom sink in room 283 would not drain. It was a terrible experience and we will not go back. They need a new renovation and better hospitality.

My husband and I stayed at Pocono Manor for one Sa...

My husband and I stayed at Pocono Manor for one Saturday night to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We had never been to the Poconos before. The Inn at Pocono Manor was a great spot to celebrate and we will probably eventually return again.

The grounds are very pretty and the historical charm greets you immediately. We had a hard time finding the resort at first because if you enter from one side there is no road sign to tell you where to go, but look for the haunted candle shop and turn after that! We got there an hour before check in and had no problems going to our room. We had a very pretty view in our 1 king room. The bed was pretty, super comfortable, and there are cute touches like a rought iron mirror. We decided to go for a hike and took the walk to the waterfall. It was an easy trail and was fun looking at the vacation homes on the way. The waterfall is very pretty.

When we returned to our room, we were kind of lounging around and heard very loud music beneath us. After awhile it didn't stop and we concluded we were right over the pub. We have four kids ranging in age from 1 year old twins to a 6 year old and were here hoping for rest so we called down to ask if this music would be playing late. They said until 12am and since we figured we would be up until then anyway we thought we would just stay put so we didin't have to repack everything and move.
Shortly after, someone called back and offered us a different larger room that would be more quiet. We decided to move.

The new room was a 2 room suite with two king beds. It was very spacious and these beds were very comfortable too. The view wasn't as good, our first room looked over the mountains (and you could open the windows which was lovely, in both rooms). The new view was a nice view of the pool area which is beautiful.

Which leads me to the pool and activities. You will not be disappointed by the activities available. There are pool tables, a walking trail, an indoor pool, a fitness facility, a beautiful outdoor pool with cabana bar, and a campfire in the evenings! The pool was too cold to go in but we enjoyed lounging by it!

We ate breakfast which is $13 a person. It was good, we are from Amish Country where the buffets are huge and incredible so it wasn't much compared to that but it was certainly plentiful, something for everyone and the breakfast area is beautiful! The omelets were good, the waffles were good, and the view was really nice too! Our server was great.

Everyone we came into contact with was pleasant and helpful. We were able to get a 1:00 late checkout which was wonderful.

If you are deciding where to stay, I would definitely recommend the Inn at Pocono Manor. Ask to stay in a room not near the pub is my only recommendation, and if you are considering a wedding here I would say you won't be disappointed. It is very stately with old world charm and beauty. If you have a problem they will fix it promptly and although it wasn't ideal to repack up and move rooms they certainly redeemed themselves by giving us a nice quiet room.

We had a great time and hope to return one day with our kids!

Paper thin walls, no cable in the rooms unless you pay extra, the rooms are very plain (a bed, a desk with a chair, and a TV stand. That's it) There was blood on the sheets in the bed, check in was very slow. They have not updated the rooms since it opened. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Take you money elsewhere!!

First of all when you drive there's no one there to guide you to check in. Parking is limited sometimes. Nobody greeted while entering the hotel. Didn't receive $25 voucher even tho we were qualified for it. The spa was booked out. The shower had no pressure was either too hot or too cold. There is no jacuzzi. There's allot of other things to do such as a game room with pools and ping pong table. Indoor and outdoor pool with outdoor bar(also inside the motel) . Room was service was good always on time. They have yoga , hiking , dining room , gym , a small shop (ice cream , pizza , etc) , and other cool things to do each day if you want to join other groups.

He generally nice place...however these pictures are very old and dated. The place is somewhat rundown. I really wished it was like the pictures.... It would have been great. They are scheduled for a 2-year renovation which a nice. A video is showing in the lobby. Expected to be completed 2022... When completed it will be a knockout. Skip the breakfast.

Was here on the hottest week of the summer. AC didn't work, the indoor pool smelled like scum and chemicals, the outdoor pool was extremely overcrowded with little kids and only one elevator worked with a resort full of people. We were initially double charged for our room, which when booked was supposed to be two double beds. When we arrived and checked in, we went to our room which was one double bed in a tiny room on the first floor. Went back and were told that they had to find a room for us. Finally got a room on the 7th floor with no AC. On another note, my mother booked a spa massage, and unannounced to her the spa is FULLY COED. Most staff were very friendly and willing to help although management is very poorly managed. The restaurants owned by the resort are very very pricey, and for not much. Lounge was nice but apparently there was some soccer party with a bunch of rowdy drunks at it in the small room next to the lounge. Would not patronize here again.

Service - under trained and under staffed. House keeping forgot to refill toilet paper, wait staff consistently forgot orders and front desk seemed unable to keep check in moving timely.

Room - if you stay in one of the "lodges" expect old conditions. We were in the Spruce Lodge and the room's AC/Heating did not work. Bath tub was clogged when we got in. The locks could be opened using a credit card so keep valuables away.

I cannot recommend staying in the lodges.

Ok let me preface this with I loved my wedding, and Nickole was the best. Latasha worked with me on my people's rooms and ensuring everyone was included in our block etc, and while there was some craziness on that front it got handled. As for the wedding itself, thanks Nickole and all the staff both front and back of house that worked their butts off to make it so perfect. It was beautiful, and ran very smoothly. The food was some of the best fare I have ever eaten at a big event, and the bar tender should be my new best friend. My guests raved about his drink slinging skills and his superb personality. Nickole ensured that Mike and I were taken care of every step of the way, including running our music for the ceremony when we had some slight dj issues. She held my hand and promised that she had it handled, took care of setup and making sure that when everything got broken down I got it all back (with 3 kids I'm lucky I remember my head when I leave). Even exhausted and I'm sure very overworked (I heard rumor that they were down a coordinator) she never let it show that I frustrated her in any way, she treated me like a friend and I very much felt that all of the little details were perfected just for me. And they kept the bar open out front for us and some close friends to party after all the ceremony was over! Give the venue a chance, it's beautiful and can fit your party, small or large, without seeming like it's a one size fits all. They personalized so much for us, and I feel like those little steps that were probably so simple for them meant a ton to me. Working both with my budget and my tastes and needs Nickole crafted a scene that was one of a kind.

One star too many. A motel 6 or super 8 has better food, better beds, better quality everything. Bathroom has 0 water pressure. The water is neither hot or cold, not warm. The walls look like a 5 year old painted in the rooms. The food is average. Definitely not worth the price it costs to stay here.

This is a quaint old building with lots of history. It seems to go on forever and has lots of nooks and crannies to explore! I was at this place for a Romanian and Greek dance workshop. I did not spend the night, as I have family nearby, but it seemed reasonable and had a lot of extra attractions of it's own. The restaurant buffet was very reasonable and tasty. My vegan friend had a challenge to find palatable food, but the kitchen staff tried really hard, and by the third meal, she reported they had made a very delicious soup that worked for her.

We had our wedding at Pocono Manor in May of 2018 & it was the best experience we could have expected. Nickole Fish was our wedding planner and accommodated all our needs including early check ins and making sure we had food in our suite to eat later that evening. All our guests had nothing but great things to say about food, staff and rooms. I couldn't be more thankful we choose such a great wedding venue!

This old jewel of a resort hotel was home to our movie crew for over a month. Wonderful views from a top the mountain it sits on. Wonderful, and friendly staff and bartender. Menu in restaurant, was okay... and pricey during our stay. But we were in off season. Generally a great place to visit especially if you are looking for nostalgia over modern comforts.
