Greeted by a grand chandelier, we knew we had found a gem. Rooms were cozy, complete with has fireplaces. No complaints about the (free) breakfast-- when the buffet was closed we were given an ample budget on the full menu. Coffee was lackluster but I suppose that's to be expected. The hotel was under construction during our visit but it did not detract from the experience. Bathrooms were fully featured with nice shampoo, and they even gave us a toothbrush when one of us had forgotten his. Watdr pressure was solid and the shower stayed hot the whole time. The pool is outdoors, and the hot tub is closed during the weekdays. This situation left a little bit to be expected but we didn't book the hotel for the pool! The skiing voucher provided with the room was a great deal. As we left, we were greeted by friendly and helpful doormen. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you're planning on skiing at Nubs or Boyne, though the drive was a little far. Solid experience, would visit again.

If you are a guest at this hotel and are also hired to perform as a musician for a private function, plan on being mistreated by the staff. I've performed at venues across the country including the Grand Hotel, and never have I been treated so poorly at what should be considered a four or five star establishment.

I now understand why Marriott calls these hotels the autograph collection! Everything isn't just nice, but perfectly suited to its local. It looks and feels exactly as a Michigan lake side resort should. It's a masterpiece. The staff are all exceptional. Beyond anything is the food. Much to my surprise the restaurant in the hotel was specular! Dinner there was one of the better meals of my lifetime. We had the charcuterie board and lamb lollipops as appetizers, and I had the roasted chicken with Brussels sprout hash and marinated asparagus as my entree. It was all so good that describing it without being able to immediately consume it again will cause me physical pain. Our server the restaurant (Vintage Chophouse) went out of his way to ensure our evening was perfect. Yes everything here is expensive, but it is all worth it.

I couldn t imagine a better place to enjoy the Petoskey Harbor Springs area. This is a real hotel. Everyone that works there treat you like family. It is a beautiful property with great restaurants and the professionalism of the staff is no better anywhere I have ever stayed.

We stay at this hotel yearly on Labor Day weekend. Always beautiful, well maintained, friendly and accommodating staff... the list could go on and on. Will always be our hotel of choice!

It's a beautiful setting, but that's about it. There's definitely room for improvement. The views are spectacular, and there's plenty of space, but most of the buildings need refurbishment. Also, there is no actual beachfront for Lake Michigan - what's available is extremely rocky. The restaurant service is extremely slow. We had to wait 10 minutes just to be greeted, another 40 minutes for our food, and it tasted so-so at best. It is nice that they let you use their bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards but there's several places around here to rent on your own. If you're looking for a true "Up North Michigan" experience, keep looking. If you want to spend a lot of money for a beautiful view and nothing more, this is your place.

Attended a wedding at the Inn. They did a great job getting things setup for the wedding but when the weather changed and the wind picked up the staff was asking help from the attendees vs calling in help with their radios. As for the facilities everything was great.

Amazing views, beautiful little village. Not a pile to do during the winter. I was headed to Boyne mountain regardless, wife loved the spa!! Would recommend for a nice place up north to go visit. Cheap during the winter, I heard summer time can have a waiting list and come with a price. I can only imagine why, and can't wait to find out.

The Inn at Bay Harbor is a nice place to stay, however, their housekeeping needs to be improved. The ceiling in the bathroom was all chipped & peeling, there was someone's hair on the tile in the bathroom and on the floor, and the shower curtain liner was stained. I mean come on ... it takes about 10 minutes & $10 to replace. At the prices we paid, I am sure they can afford to replace it.

Beautiful resort with an exceptionally polite staff and a few little surprises in the room that really topped off the experience.
We loved our room, it had a kitchen and lounge area with a stunning view of the lake. Great place to sit on the patio in the evenings sipping coco and recharge.

Incredible. I'll be coming back. The staff was friendly and helpful even when we went down multiple times for new keys, etc. The breakfast buffet is to die for as well. Our group had mutiple sized rooms and every single one felt luxurious regardless of the price/level. I'd highly recommend staying here for a wedding, anniversary, family trip or girls trip. Honestly you'll be blown away by it all.

The Inn at Bay Harbor is the single best hotel I have been at, and it is, in my opinion, the best hotel in the Petowsky region. With a large pool, friendly staff, several great nearby restaurants, fantastic spa, and a simply well built campus, it is my favorite place to stay during the summer.

Came here for my honeymoon and it was very nice! All the staff are very nice and can give you info on what to do in the area. The rooms are very nice. We had a full service kitchen, comfortable bed, big TV, wonderful, large shower, and a beautiful view of the lake with walk out balcony. They gave us complimentary anniversary turndown services for our honeymoon, which included several roses, swans made of towels, chocolates, and wine. The breakfast included in our price was amazing with many buffet options. The location is great for finding Petoskey stones and walking/biking trails. There were only a few downsides. First, the hotel dining was very expensive. Second, it seemed like we could hear a lot of the noise from the hallways. Luckily, we came when the hotel was not busy, so we didn't have much noise to deal with.
