Nice, moderately intimate venue. Appreciate the benches on the side - get there early to nab a good spot. Loved seeing Queens D. Light and Raleigh Ritchie!

This is a great place for live music from all different genres. The ticket prices are very reasonable and the sound is great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. If you want to avoid a service charge on tickets, the box office is open daily and just before show time so you can buy tickets with no fee. Highly recommended!

Seminal club with good vibe, sound and staff. Mix of legends and new bands. Lambchop and Madeline Kenny played recently.

Love this Venue! Small and cozy but not too small so as to not rock! Great restaurants close by for dinner before the show. Parking can be tricky so leave time or plan for that.

I really liked this venue! Felt like a nice size audience. Good sound and views of the artists. Friendly bar tenders. Was visiting from Denver and felt right at home. Will definitely come back to The Independent to see another concert the next time I visit San Francisco. Both artists were very good.

Great vibes, I vined with staff because I'm true believer in friends. Friends make sure they ride back safe and this event venue respects that. Also the bands like electric 6 are amazing!

So got tickets last minute to see Mos Def here, who now goes by yasim bey. He went on late which is typical for him. He did play for almost two hours, which was cool. The crowd had a weird vibe to them. Mostly white, of course but they just weren't getting as hyped as they should. You could tell that he wanted to feed on the energy in the room but just wasnt getting it. Anyway dude still has mad flow and can rock a mic. As for the venue they are always a class act and so it right. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I love that this is in my neighborhood and I'll keep coming back.

Last month I was there with my old friends gang to have a fun night. Indeed It was a great fun and an amazing experience. I find beverage prices are quite reasonable and the staffs were great. We had some issue with a chair and they immediately came to us and changed with another one. Good caring bartenders, great music and nice beverages enough to prove this is the best place. I would definitely recommend The Independent.
