I used their low cost spay program to spay my 5 year old chihuahua. They were really friendly, affordable and the handled her surgery very very well! She's healing great and hasn't had any complications. They did a great job explaining everything I needed to know to me!

It's a bit of a long day visiting the Humane Society now during COVID, but everyone is great there. I would recommend going in as soon as they open so your wait isn't so long. We had to wait close to 2 hours before we could go in because we arrived in the afternoon.

Had to put our dog down and the staff was extremely professional and compassionate. Matt was fantastic and helped make a difficult time more manageable. I truly appreciate the respect I was shown and how they handled our pet before they took her back.

Adopted both our kitties from here. They do an excellent job documenting and treated animals before they allow them to be adopted. One of our kitties had a slight infection right after we adopted her, which they took care of free of charge.

If I could give zero stars I would. Not only did this humane society make a very difficult and stressful time for my family even harder, they continued to harass us. We initially made an appointment to put our dog down until we found out right before the appointment that we could not be with him during the procedure. Being that we have owned him for over 13 years we were not comfortable with that. We decided not to go to the appointment they called one time after the appointment date and I tried calling back but couldn't get through and instead of calling to ask how our pet was or why we didn't show up they just decided to send over animal care and control to do a "welfare" check. Not to mention they have never seen our pet before or us either. I called the animal enforcement and explained to them why we didn't come to the appointment. I also explained that my pet was under veterinary care and was not suffering or about to die suddenly. The lady I spoke with understood and said she would let the officers know. Then they decided to show up to my home a second time asking to see my pet and when we were going to do the euthanasia. The officer stated after seeing my pet "He looks clearly fine and there is no apparent suffering." Then proceeded to grill us when we were going to put him down and wanted to know exactly where. How hard is it to already be losing a pet to then be harassed about when we were going to go through with it like it was no big deal. You guys call yourselves the face of animal rights and proper care, shame on you for harassing my family when there was no need. I will never support this phony humane society and hope that this never happens to someone else. Thanks for tainting the last few memories we will ever have with our pet.

Myself and my daughter were interested in adopting two little hamsters that were on the website so we called to make sure they were still available. I left a message and a lady called back saying they WERE still available but that she couldn't hold them for us. I told her we live in a different town about 40 miles away but we would head up there after work, which would have put us at the building about 2 hours after I talked to her. She "recommended" (not "required") us to get there before 5:00 pm so they would have enough time to do paperwork, etc. without going past closing time, which is 6:00. She didn't say they would lock the doors at 5:00 (or sooner)! So we sped up there as fast as we could safely go - traffic always an issue on I-25 though, especially around rush hour. We got to the doors at 5:02 and they were locked. A girl came to the door and informed us "they were done for the day". She was not kind, nor empathetic that we drove from a different city, simply was rude. I wish I would have gotten her name. She kept repeating over four times, "We are done for the day." I guess they don't make exceptions, even though I had called and spoke with a different worker just a few hours before. Her solution was to come back on a day I don't work - I explained that I work Monday thru Friday and I would run into the same issue again. Besides, I WAS THERE BEFORE 6:00 pm, official closing time! So is the public just to assume that the regular hourly workers get to make the decision to close whenever they want? How is a traveling person supposed to know this, especially when 9 times out of 10 when you call, you don't get an answer right away so there is no real time information. I thought their first priority is to place animals in safe, loving homes but obviously, they do NOT go above and beyond to do that. Terrible attitude and terrible customer service. Unfortunately, it's where the animals needing a home are and we have no choice but to deal with their poor business practices. Lame.
