Went to the bar for girls night and Steve was our bartender extraordinaire! He was so sweet, attentive, and timely!
I would like to say, as someone who works in the industry, all the other staff were talking very rudely to Steve and talking behind his back so that we could hear without even trying to listen. Also they were out of a sauv blanc and offered us the next one that was more expensive but when we asked if the manager would match the price the manager rudely just said no. Just remember that your customers see how coworkers work together and it can improve immensely.

I had an amazing stay at the Hotel Roanoke. The food, service and accommodations were some of the best I have ever experienced! I cannot wait until my next trip to Roanoke so that I can stay at this hotel again!!

We love this hotel for a lot of reasons, but also see room for improvement.
PROS: Great staff and excellent service. Unique hotel and architecture, like a time warp into the past. This is clearly a high-end hotel that sets itself apart from many others.
CONS: Rough around the edges. You can tell some modern upgrades were made, but there are still many old furniture and trim that are not aging well. Wallpaper edges were peeling. Bathroom furniture has chips. If there was a way to improve the smell of the hotel so it doesn't smell like an old building, that would make it much better, too. I've been to Marriott Autograph Collection hotels where they pump in a scent that makes the place smell fresh and inviting.
Aside from the cons, which many are easily overlooked, the staff is great and the place has a charm you just cannot get at many other hotels.

A welcome escape from a long road trip from Charleston to New York State! We stayed one night and enjoyed the wonderful food, our comfortable room, and the delightful furnishings of the public areas during are too brief stay. It's been 35 years since last I visited the Hotel Roanoke and am so happy to see it restored to her past glory! Outstanding, friendly staff, always at the ready to offer "above and beyond" service.

Hilton hotel Roanoke is there really a loyalty two memberships To Hilton membership I can answer that question hell no if you want a upgrade at this hotel it s gonna cost you .. there is nothing free in this hotel.. even when you read about gold membership free upgrade if available

I'm usually a pretty thrifty traveler, but i decided to stay here as a little treat. I'm a little hung up on one particular issue... I honestly can't believe that they charge $11/night for parking. I didn't use the valet and parked my own car in the hotel's only parking lot and was still charged $11. It's insulting.

As a travel RN, i move and stay in hotels all the time. I've never heard of any hotel in the country that charges it's customers for parking. It was a slap in the face for a room that already costs close to $200/night after tax.

That being said, the pool was very nice and the staff were all friendly. The grounds are lovely and the architecture is interesting. The bar and dining on site is overpriced and only of moderate quality, but it is in every hotel, so that's not factored into the low score. Really, the main reason i stayed here was the convenience. It's only a few hundred yards across a bridge downtown for drinks or dining. This hotel is one of only 2 options if you want to stay that close.

Next time I'm in Roanoke, I'll drive an extra 3 minutes to a hotel where the parking is complimentary.

Absolutely beautiful! Incredible staff and service. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the location is perfect if you plan to walk downtown to check out shops and local bars.
