Hollywood Bowl is very spacious and open. Make sure to bring a jacket if you re going to a show at night. The food their is pretty good, but pricey. We watched John Williams and it was spectacular, on the other hand stack parking was not.

Second time at Hollywood bowl and both times for KTMF. Acoustics is great! I wanted to listen to opera and classical here and two guests this year performed just that and it sounded beautiful! My usual seats are in lower section, behind box seats. Although they are bench, I find them to be best value and you can rent cushions for $1 or bring your own. There are also super seats which are the 3 middle section of the same row and have backs and cup holders like at baseball stadiums, these are almost if not double double bench price. These are the most popular but you do pay a premium. You can also bring your own food and drinks, no glass containers or you can purchase from their food court, there are several walk up restaurants and a market inside and cost is pretty expensive; mac n cheese is $17 from the market, coffee or hot chocolate is $3, bottle water is $5-$6, cheeseburger is $14, garlic fries $7, note that burgers are cooked medium well. I suggest bringing your own food if you're on a budget or have food allergies, otherwise food is pretty good. Bathrooms are nice and clean. I did notice that there was another bathroom located on the left side of the bowl and had more stalls for women at least, much bigger and line goes pretty quick. Parking is stacked so if you plan on leaving early I suggest you not park here. There are buses that pick up and various locations and drop off specifically for the bowl, one location that I'm aware of is the LA zoo. You can also park at the mall, Hollywood and Highland and walk up about a mile uphill or park at the church parking lot down the hill, $20 cash donation and walk up. This is a wonderful venue, just plan ahead, traffic and parking can be crazy.

The Bowl is probably one of the best places to watch a concert. The sound is some of the best, and so is the staff. Sure, parking is too expensive and messy (but I don't park there), and drinks & food are way overpriced. But you have fun here nonetheless.

The sound quality and the experience is wonderful it really is. The food choices look delicious, that you can bring your own picnic basket to some events is awesome I just wish they didn't have stacked parking. It takes forever to leave the parking lot.

In The event of large Sellout crowds Hollywood Bowl is horrifically organized. Parking is stacked. Streets sorrounding the venue are crammed. Be mindful of these things bring your patience and a lot of time to spare.

Just walked in on an off day to walk around. Very interesting. Lots of seating, all wooden. Cool stage. Other amenities on the ground too. Museum was closed. Staff was very nice. Free parking.

Nothing like summer nights at the Hollywood Bowl. Went to check out Herbie Hancock on a hot summer evening with my wife and 2 year old son. Ended up getting to witness a killer jam session with all kinds of special guests. Not to mention all the helpful staff available on site for any questions you might have. Shoot even the porter stopped to help me out. Overall I'd suggest everyone see themselves a summer show at the bowl, put it on your bucket list!

Winding hills and horrible parking. Prepare to take it while grabbing your ankles for parking cost. Also, all the added venue fees on tickets and fact that $100+ per ticket gets you seating beyond mezzanine is garbage. Venue is meh; people go here to be pretentious and because they love Hollywood... a fine display is moppishness . Any other amphitheater s is simply the right/better/smarter/sensible/logical choice. Zzzz.... *white noise*....

The most stunning venue I've been to. I saw Bon Iver with TU Dance with a friend and it was transcending. There's so many seats though, it's not intimate at all. There are are few hills to walk up to get to your section wherever that might be. Security was nice. Getting through was quick and painless. The burger I got from 21 kitchen was decent, the bun was WAY TOO BIG. Should've gotten a double and not a single. 10 dollar domestic drafts should never been a thing.

The Hollywood Bowl is an amphitheater in the Holly...

The Hollywood Bowl is an amphitheater in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It was named one of the 10 best live music venues in America by Rolling Stone magazine in 2018. The Hollywood Bowl is known for its band shell, a distinctive set of concentric arches that graced the site from 1929 through 2003, before being replaced with a larger one beginning in the 2004 season. The shell is set against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills and the famous Hollywood Sign to the northeast.

The "bowl" refers to the shape of the concave hillside the amphitheater is carved into. The Bowl is owned by the County of Los Angeles and is the home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the host venue to hundreds of musical events each year. It is located at 2301 North Highland Avenue, west of the (former) French Village, north of Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood/Highland subway station, and south of Route 101.

Truly spectacular performance space. My companion and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the sound quality was amazing. The only downside I would say would be next time, I wouldn't take a car there. It was well over an hour before we could get out of the parking lot after we returned to our vehicle. The cab fare would have been worth it.

Holy cow I don't think I will come across a more perfect venue in my lifetime than this place. Flew down from SF to see Into The Woods and wow wow wow I was IMPRESSED. The staff are lovely and so well organized and made the entire event run flawlessly. I am also amazed that people can bring in their own picnic baskets, drinks, and food! Practically unheard of where I'm from!
I hope to visit again sometime soon

In the 25 years that I have been going to the Bowl, I've never passed into the main arena(?) without goosebumps. No matter what happens on stage, I leave with a sense of awe at how much energy this place has. I believe many folks are similarly impacted. Tonight was no exception. George Benson was great, as always. Both acts that preceded him were both wonderful surprises.
Tomorrow (tonight) will be my first back to back since the 3 day Playboy Jazz Festivals of the 90s. Orff's Carmina Burana.
Carmina Burana was simply the best performance I've seen, ever. Big part of that was the venue. And the soprano, amazing!

It's a fun historical place to see a show, but the parking is bad, the crowd management is bad, and the wooden seats are more than a little dated. I never look forward to the venue when I'm seeing a show at the Hollywood Bowl.

I really like this venue. But I have to disagree with 75% of the music programming. It seems the same performers keep coming back and some don't even try any more. It's a lovely place to see a show and have a picnic, whether bought at the venue or packed at home. Parking sucks. Better to take a shuttle or other public transportation.

About The Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl is a legendary outdoor amphitheater located in the heart of Los Angeles, California. Since its inception in 1922, it has been the go-to destination for live music enthusiasts from all over Southern California and beyond. The venue has played host to some of the biggest names in music history, including Billie Holiday, The Beatles, and Yo-Yo Ma.

One of the most iconic features of the Hollywood Bowl is its concentric-arched band shell. This unique design allows for unparalleled acoustics and an immersive concert experience that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else. Whether you're sitting up close or way up high in one of the venue's many terraced seating sections, you'll feel like you're right in the middle of all the action.

But it's not just about great sound at The Hollywood Bowl - there's also plenty to see and do before and after each show. The venue boasts a wide variety of food and drink options, from classic hot dogs and popcorn to gourmet cuisine from some of LA's top chefs. And if you're looking for something extra special, consider booking one of their VIP packages which include access to exclusive lounges with private bars and premium seating options.

Of course, none of this would be possible without an incredible lineup of performers year after year. From classical orchestras to rock bands to pop superstars, there truly is something for everyone at The Hollywood Bowl. And with multiple shows per week during peak season (typically May through September), there are plenty of opportunities to catch your favorite artists live on stage.

So whether you're a lifelong fan or just looking for a fun night out with friends or family, be sure to check out what's happening at The Hollywood Bowl this season - tickets are available now!
