First impressions were good, nice staff, quick check in, but my visit went downhill once I decided to get a drink from the wet bar. I came across something I haven't seen (size wise) since I've been in Texas. To call this thing a simple roach is an understatement and the picture doesn't do it complete justice. You could strap a saddle to this thing and ride it if you wanted to. This thing was so large that it couldn't seem to fit back down the drain I assume it emerged from. After panicking that I'd lose track of it, I covered it with a water glass, filled the sink with water, put the ice bucket on top of it, snapped a few pictures and headed for the front desk.

The woman at the front desk just about made the same "eww" face I did when I showed her the pictures. She quickly got us a new room 16 floors up and sent us on our way. Upon inspecting the new room, we found no pony-sized roaches, but encountered the distinct smells of vomit and pot. This, in addition to the super sticky carpet, was sadly acceptable when compared to what happened in the prior room. We quickly knocked out for the night with the intention of getting the heck out of there first thing in the morning.

Morning came, we checked out, and without confirmation by the staff on the rooms total charges, we were sent on our way, transaction complete. Reviewing my bank statement the next day, I noticed an additional $62 charge from the Hilton for Vallet parking... Which I didn't use as I didn't bring a car. It took me 3 separate phone calls and nearly a week and a half to finally get a refund. The delay was cause because the Hilton staff decided I was lying when I told them I didn't use the Vallet service and insisted on confirming it with the Vallet provider before they'd agree to issue my refund.

Will not be returning to this establishment by my own free will.
