This place is one of the best schools in the country for special needs children. Autism education and stem education are high on the list. It is a nurturing place where your child will get an education that will meet his potential and bring out the best in your child.

Best non public school in LAUSD for Autism. It was a great move for my son. The teachers are very patient and understanding. Classroom size is small so your child gets the most from the curriculum. I love this school. It has been a God Send for my child and my family.

My Grandson goes to this special school for autistic children. It does a terrific job for all the children attending and his improvement has been really noticeable since enrolling. LAUSD will pay the tuition here if recommended in an IEP. Don't hesitate to pursue this option if your child fits into the spectrum.

UPDATE: October 2020.

Due to the pandemic The Help Group has cowered to LAUSD to get their funding with zero regards for my son (enrolled here his entire life) and many other disabled children who can not under any circumstances distance learn due to theIr ability level. The governor of California on Aug 28, 2020 mandated that disabled children that can not distance learn immediately go back to in person instruction despite the pandemic. The school waited 3 weeks to inform us (the parents) about the governors actions. Unable to use the teachers union as an excuse as they are a non public school that need not deal with the union, the school brass decided they would initiate a new stall tactic that they could not figure out how to bus the children to school so it would remain closed regardless of the governors orders. So too make a long story short, Pamela (the schools owner) and Sara (head of school) have wasted nearly six weeks with lies and excuses to avoid the governor of California s clear guidance that children that can not distance learn be put back in school to receive such critical therapies as speech and occupational (which can not be done through distance learning). They are knowingly and willingly allowing children of all disabilities to regress and fall behind with zero regard, care or concern. They are manipulating the system to protect the school and themselves to ensure they receive their state funding although they do not even care what the governor himself wishes them to do. It s pretty sad when a bunch of supposed professional educators with many a PHD use their knowledge to continue to keep the school shuttered, blatantly lie to the parents as to why and are only concerned about their funding as the let the most vulnerable of children suffer. Ask yourself, is this corrupt institution barren of any care for our children's well being where you want to send your child for help? The help group should be ashamed and renamed the helpless group as that is exactly who and what they are, be very wary of this learning institution, they could care less about your child, it s all about the money.

The worst school in the country for special needs children. They are supposedly a non public school but bow down to get their funding from LAUSD. My son has been enrolled here his whole life and it is nothing but a nightmare dealing with incompetent teachers, staff and ownership. If you want your child to have any chance at life do not enroll him or her here, the help group could care less.

My child has been seeing a Help Group therapist for several months. My child was promised confidentiality and given no warning that some things would be reported to the police. My child was manipulated into talking about activity that is illegal. Nobody was hurt. No property damaged. Definitely a situation requiring some skilled counseling. Given this opportunity to help in a delicate situation that required insight and carefully considered counseling, that is if you put the children's well being first, The Help Group decided to call a lawyer and then called the police.

Of course they point at the law being broken and claim they had no choice but to report it. The therapist suspected before the confession and could have counseled without pressuring for the confession and creating the need to call the police but that would have required a degree of caring and skill that was not there. A man in uniform with a gun strapped to his side came to our home to question our child because of The Help Group's tender care.

I know of no place better than the school my child attends for educational needs. But his counseling needs? I expected more from people that specialize in children with special needs. It seems that all schools must cover their legal ass first and take care of our children second these days. This the fault of parents who like The Help Group call lawyers first. When your child has special needs it's difficult to find good services and the fear of losing the good by pointing out the bad is always looming for parents in this situation. Perhaps this fear is why their are so few reviews by parents to help us decide.

Consider carefully before handing your child over to The Help Group. Make sure your child is fully informed and understands what can happen if they choose to seek help or trust The Help Group. Do you think my child would have confessed if informed that the police would be called? My child gave his trust and is now heart broken. His trust destroyed by The Help Groups promised confidentiality now betrayed.

Of course if the first thing you would do when your child needs help is call a lawyer. The second thing to call the police. Then The Help Group is there for you.

Teachers are invested in the success of students. My son has been attending for 3 years and every teacher has been genuinely committed to his betterment.

The school itself is designed to accommodate students with special needs (Autism). It can support students from grade level upto High School.

Every parent of children with a spectrum disorder should compare and consider The Help Group.

The most unprofessional and uninterested staff I've ever come across.
They seem to be put out that they even have to answer the phone.
No one you ask to speak to will answer their line. It's a leave a message only set up. Don't expect anyone to return your call. They're much too self absorbed for that. If you should actually be able to talk to someone, they are completely distracted replying to the text message you just heard them receive. Communication skills and social graces are completely illusive there.

I was referred here by another organization and when I called today the woman who answered the phone was rude, and gave an impression that she didn't care. I informed her that my son was referred and she rudely said "ooookay.... for?????" I'm sorry but as concerned parent is calling to ensure that my son is provided with excellent service, this was not how I was expected be greeted. Usually it would be something along the lines of.. "I'm glad that you were referred to us, how can we be of assistance?"

If I can't get past the receiptionst, I can't imagine what the staff are like.
