Party of 20 visited for a birthday meal and were very well looked after. Food was ordered before hand and was all served together. All enjoyed their various meals. Quite reasonable for 2 & 3 courses. Old style bar off the beaten track. Very pleasant.

Hi, I was with my wife and neighbour, when we visited after church my wife and I had the chicken breast for lunch, it was very delicious & a bit too much for us, the staff were very friendly and helpful, unfortunately we do not have our own transport, so are unable to visit more frequently, but would definitely recommend the hammer and pincers to my friend's & family, thanks for the hospitality,

Attended for a family Christmas lunch and was very impressed. Although the interior will not be to everyone's taste, it was clean and tidy, and quite light and airy. The chosen starter was pate, followed by traditional turkey dinner, both of which were very well presented and delicious. We were even provided with additional vegetables for those who prefer al dente. Dessert was Tia Maria mousse, with shortbread, and again this had wonderful flavours and was stylishly presented. It should also be emphasized that the quality of customer service was certainly up there with the best.
Overall, a great experience and thoroughly recommended.
A cracking family-run pub. Very friendly and accommodating. Good food selection. Nice 'ambiance'. Will be back!
