It has gone down because of the workers in the leasing office. The manager is the best and treats everyone the same It is the other workers in the leasing office recommending their friends or relatives. The office looks closed from inside the lobby. The assistant manager has and over sized dog that greets you at the door sometimes. The manager is one of the best. I have been here for eight years. I moved from Cityfront when your company stopped managing the building. When I moved here there was a weight limit on dog . This have changed. There is no separate elevator!

I have contacted this company 3 separate occasions and have yet to hear back from them. I have been having a horrible experience with one of their buildings, Columbus Plaza. Management at this building has been a catastrophe and the experience was absolutely horrible. After dealing with Amy, manager at Columbus plaza, I decided to reach out to Habitat and let them know how their property is being managed. I wrote out detailed emails hoping to hear back from someone and it s already been over a week and not even one correspondence out of courtesy, I ve had issues with this building for so long now and they don t take anything seriously. It shouldn t be a wild goose chase to speak to property management. Extremely unprofessional behavior and really disappointed with this entire experience and company. Don t recommend at all.

They started managing South Commons and the employees are absolutely horrible, they can't seem to run an office and God forbid you leave a comment on their Facebook page, they will ensure they delete it. Try to avoid this company like the plague

I moved to the Pines of Edgewater apartments in November 2019. It's owned by the Habitat Company. I was getting used to the environment and the neighborhood. It was okay at first but recently there was renovations which were very noisy and disruptive. Management made it seem like it was so necessary doo when I talk to the Manager, he says that we should have talked earlier. But when I was trying to talk to the Assistant Manager, he was never available. I was unprotected from all of these strange men working in construction, leaving the doors downstairs open, compromising the safety of the tenants. My cat Reesie was scared and confused. Someone stole my package, it could've been anyone because the doors were left open all day. Management is not very helpful.

This is in response to the review that was posted by Jennifer. and clearly this company is full of it. I saw the emails that she sent clearly stating a handful of complaints that had nothing to do with rent but with how disrespectful and terrible the staff is. Also dealt with classism from their front desk and plumbing issues etc. They didn t bother to read her emails at all. Because they addressed just one issue. This company is absolutely absurd. Columbus plaza is absolutely hostile, still cutting us off from making payments. I ve never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. They don t have the decency to email back or call but they respond to bad reviews on google LOL that tells you everything you need to know about this company. Pathetic is not a good enough word.

Watch out applicants, their administration fee is not refundable. They do not state that on their web page. We wanted to see their studio apartment at 640 N. Wells St. Chicago, the sales person said the unit is occupied so you can see it on virtual tour. We will schedule in person tour as soon as current tenant moves out. There are others looking for the apartment so we will not be able to guarantee you that it will be available then. We suggest that you you look at it by doing virtual tour. So we paid them $500 admin fee.
When we saw the apartment in person, we found out that it was too small and it would not fit our furniture. When we called to get refund of our money, they refused to pay us back. They said fee is not refundable.
Generally other apartment places take security deposit. But this place is tricking applicants by calling the deposit as admin fee. They don t state on the front web page that this fee is not refundable. Their ad is misleading. This is cheating to customers.
THEREFORE BEWARE BEFORE PAYING ADVANCE PAYMENT. IT IS NOT A SECURITY DEPOSIT, IT IS A NOT REFUNDABLE FEE.
