The Grill From Ipanema Review

The meat is good and has variety, picanha, file, sirloin and even shrimp on a spit. The salad and cold buffet is weak, but "enough for the expense", after all, nobody goes to the steakhouse to eat salad, right?

The waiters are mostly attentive and friendly.

It has live music and a singer, as well as the waiters, is also very friendly.

The negative details are three:

1) The price, we were in three people, we drank water and two beers and the bill was 200 USD.

2) The girls at the reception, Brazilian, who in addition to not being considerate, were absurdly arrogant, as if they were much more than the customers. The impression that was left, is that we were bothering.

3) Although I have absolutely nothing against it, employees eat together with customers in the same environment, the restriction on my part, is that it happens during service hours, that is, people are lacking to serve you.

I would not return.

Good meat. It's a casual place so don't wear your favorite outfit. The servers cutting the meat at the table drip and splatter everywhere.

Good standard style Brazilian steakhouse. Lots of meat choices but don't settle for the ones that come around frequently. Wait for the real gems to come by. Quality over quantity will serve you better here.

Everything was absolutely exquisite. My family went here for lunch and we had the Rodizio which includes all you can eat salad bar and all you can eat meat. They bring a variety of specialty meats to your table and cut off a slice when you want more. Every single meat was absolutely delicious. The meats were all very well seasoned, juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly. The salad bar was amazing as well and had a number of very tasty warm and cold food sides that were a great compliment to the meats. The service was fast and friendly, and there's a great view from the restaurant. Overall a very nice experience. Definitely will be coming back!

Good staff, great location, but the variety of offerings could have been better. Too many beef choices, and zero Seafood served during dinner hour which is amazing in a place like Seattle!

Really good meat. And there is a wide variety of flavors. Good side dishes. Great drink.
Servers was better than I thought, even on a busy night the meats kept coming around at a steady pace.
You definitely get what you pay for. I would recommend this to any red meat lovers.

As far as Brazilian steakhouses go, this one kinda sucks. We only saw our waiter twice in the two hour dinner. The salad bar is heavy on the cold dishes, but not too many meats and cheeses. When the servers come around with hot meats, it's infrequent and they carve very meager portions. Also, we had a party of five but were charged the mandatory gratuity. I would've contested this, but it was just so hard to find someone who worked there half the time...

All in all, I feel borderline robbed of money. It's not a one-star restaurant, but if you're reading this please know that you can do better.

Wouldn't recommend if you're like me and dont like pink in your steak, you'll sit there for a good 40 minutes til something good comes out. Pretty much got full on the pineapple. Not worth the price. Saw my server once

I had a Groupon for this restaurant for a while but haven't had a chance to use it up until today so I was very excited. My first impression was it was going to be very professional and fancy. We walk in the door, and the greeter with a black and white striped shirt had a bad attitude. She has one job to do make sure the customer is happy and seated to their satisfaction. I nicely requested to sit in a different seat and she gave me the biggest attitude as if I was bothering her, she tells me I already asked you where you wanted to sit. I tried telling her that I overestimated the table because the guy behind it was taking up most of my eating space so I couldn't get in I would have to squeeze in. I expect to get good service if I'm giving you money. Doesn't matter how much money. I was so mad I was almost about to leave but the waiter redeemed the company. The food was great, meat Was Juicy, the food bar was pretty good I liked the uniqueness of it but I wish there was more selection. During our meal I noticed the greeter was treating the other customers the same way as she treated me. when we were done with our meal I also noticed the greeter was playing on her phone on social media. That greeter with a black and white striped shirt working Sunday at about 1 p.m. was the most unprofessional rude greeter I have ever dealt with. Here is a word of advice, get off your phone and try to enjoy the customers stop getting annoyed.

This place is AMAZING. The meat selection is great and the service is wonderful. The cold buffet is also super good. It s a bit expensive but the Groupon deal definitely helps. Would definitely come back.

Insanely delicious cuisine, a large selection of grilled meat: pork, beef, buffalo, chicken, turkey, ribs and even shrimp, and grilled pineapple is generally divine, fried bananas with cinnamon is just a hit, cheese balls generally captivated me !!! The staff is very nice and fun, top notch service. If you could give a rating higher it would be 10 stars, but for now 5 stars are definitely !!!!!

The happy hour drinks here are phenomenal. This is a definite recommend. I return here for HH whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

Amazing amazing food. I can't express how good this place is. If you haven't been you need to. Unless of course you do not eat meat. This place is not for you.

We made a reservation last week and asked the person if it was ok for us all (4 of us) to use our groupons. We were told this was ok.

Went to dinner and again asked the server if it was ok. Was told again it was.

After eating we give the waiter our groupons and he tells we can only use 2 of the 4. We then had to ask for a manager as we had asked TWICE if it was ok. Manager AND server said that this was a COMMON mistake and refused to honor it. We finally got the manager to give us the other two at "face value" and ended up having to pay $100 extra we hadn't expected or been told about.

Poor business model. Honor what you tell your paying customers and if this is a common problem, INFORM people ahead of time. We will not be coming back.

Amazing food and staff!

Great ambience. Friendly wait staff. We never had to ask for water to be refilled. Food quality and selection was definitely in line with the price. If you like steak, chicken, pork, bison, and lamb you should find a lot to like about this menu. Save a little room for the grilled pineapple. Soooo good. They do have desserts if you have the desire.

Best grilled pineapple I've ever had. The meat is so good you'll want to try it all, so be sure to pace yourself!

I have been here more times than I want to admit to.
The food is fantastic and the meat just keep coming. The salad bar seems good, but to be honest, that is not the reason I'm coming here.
The staff is also very friendly and attentive, which makes the experience all that much better.

This place is a Brazilian delight! I went here one particularly warm summered I still remember their cocktails to be top notch. Try the caipirinhas on a hot day!

Came here for the first time during the Seattle Restaurant Week and was not impressed. Feel like they didn't do a very good job with keeping small groups of people in the restaurant at the same time, increasing the distance or add more barriers between each tables.

The waiter did not explain the menu and spilled wine on my friend and didn't appear to be apologetic. I was surprised that the manager didn't bother to come out to apologize either.

The first course which consists of 5 dishes were mainly potato dishes. There were 10 different cuts of meat and most were dry and took awhile for them to come around our table.

Extremely fast and friendly service. Amazing view and the quality of the food is up there as well. The salad/pasta salad buffet has plenty of delicious options as well, just be careful not to fill up on that though and not get your fill of the freshly sliced meat. Prices are about what you would expect for a Brazilian Steakhouse buffet in the Seattle/Bellevue area ($50~75 per person).

It's still pretty good but the quality has dropped off on the buffet part. Used to be well worth the price but it's starting to get iffy.

Went during lunch and used the Groupon, it was a good deal with it. I enjoyed the garlic steak the most. The cold bar is nothing special.

Best place to eat in downtown/belltown, lunch buffet is only twenty dollars as well. I'm a simple girl and love to eat meat and this is the place for me, plus the grilled pineapple with cinnamon is amazing!

Friendly staff, variety of meat was good, I was expecting spicy sausage which I didn't get. The salad bar was great. Parking can be a challenge depending on day and time. I wouldn't mind going back

Service at the bar seating area was terrible. We had to wait an hour before they asked us if we wanted another drink! The food was very tasty and they kept it coming quickly.

What an extraordinary experience. Exceptional food and service, live music, and you can smell the meat cooking from everywhere in the restaurant. The only reason this place isn't going to become a regular hangout for me is price.

Happy Hour is a tremendous bargain with cheap food and beera under $5.00. Love the cheese balls.

Great food and drinks. The service is superior our Waiter Marcos, was very attentive and professional.

Love it, certain nights have live music. But came for the Rodizio all you can eat meats served to your table. Tri-tip and Sirloin are my favorites.

The meat is NOT GOOD QUALITY or even close. I have been to these types of restaurants in the US and this was by far the worst. Salad bar is not good and the meat is VERY SALTY to mask the low quality. It made me feel sick. And it is EXPENSIVE I would never go back. One star for good service. Really so disappointed. I have a feeling these high reviews are either not real or the bad reviews have been removed.

A favorite in Seattle. They always have a deal on Groupon and the food is always amazing. The grilled pineapple is my favorite when I'm so stuffed full I can barely breathe.

As always the food was amazing, but if you are looking for fancy dining atmosphere I do not suggest going here on Friday nights. I myself usually go on off nights and love the place. Tonight was my first Friday and was disappointed with the cheesy sports bar light music. If you are into that sord of thing then this night is for you, otherwise wait till the weekend is over.

Great food, atmosphere left something to be desired. The evening talent sang Happy birthday FOUR TIMES in less than an hour. Perhaps we just hit family night or something, but it was a bit much.

The food was pretty tasty. The rib eye was my favorite. The sausage was my least favorite. The salad bar was a little lame having been to a Brazilian steak house in Vegas. The waitress was pleasant however she kept disappearing for long periods and never brought what we asked for. It wasn't busy and had alot of empty tables so there was no excuse for it that we could tell. I ordered several specialty drinks with fruit puree and they were very sour. All in all it was not money well spent and we were all disappointed.

"Meat Olympics" is how we refer to this style of dining with my friends. Unlimited amounts of fine rotisserie meats (up to 17 varieties depending on the night) hand carved at your table. While the salad bar is well stocked and has nice appetizers, save room for the main course of the skewers brought to the table!

Great selection of meats. Favorites were the garlic shrimp L filet minot were my favorites. I highly recommend mixing the chimi churi sauce with the chili's. It made the meat taste that much better. Drinks were stiff. One of the best meals I've had in Seattle. The only issue was there wasn't enough cheese bread.

I've been here a handful of times. The atmosphere is delightful and the meats cooked and seasoned very well. The staff are very polite, curtious and friendly. I could find this as a nice place for celebrating but it is a tad pricy, but honestly totally worth it.

I go here all the time and I love it. It's just real real pricey. It's so expensive. Like it's delicious, but a weeks worth of rent delicious?

This place is OUSTANDING! The ambiance is refreshing, the view of the Sound is great and the food is simply amazing. The steaks are melt-in-your-mouth delicious and definitely try the pan de queijo. The servers are prompt and the manager has always stopped by to ask how everything is (super nice guy!).

I really don't understand one of the other reviewers complaining about the spread; it has about 20 options and it's so good my kid often chooses to go with that instead of the rodizio.

Simply put the food and overall experience with this style of restaurant was delightful. However, the servers require adequate training when it comes to manners- inappropriate and highly disrespectful comments about customers can be heard not far from the table I was in e.g. tipping amount, quantity of food consumed, duration of stay. Due to this, the level of class this restaurant portrays has diminish tremendously.
