The amazing food, huge selection of draught beer and great ambiance make The Griffon Gastropub a worthwhile stop

Delicious food, the nachos appetizer was so unique and like nothing I've ever had. Great service, huge portions and reasonably priced, it was amazing.

The calamari was a little too greasy and also the garlic bread

The Griffon came up on local search for food. We arrived late Thursday night, 10:30, kitchen closes at 11. We were greeted nicely by the hostess. We sat at the bar. Dave was our bartender that evening. He was great. Gave us food and drink options and opinions. He was patient, friendly, attentive, quick. He made the visit memorable. Thank you.

The food is great, and we loved the beer sample menu. Service was perfect, we will see definitely be back !!

Stopped here on Feb 9, 2019 at 2:30 pm; we had about a 30 minute wait because the place was packed. At 3:00 pm it cleared out so make reservations or belly up to the bar and wait for a table. Well run and pleasant staff, which is surprising seeing how busy they were, obvious that the Staff worked well together which is rare. I Ordered the Deviled Eggs as an App and they came right after our drinks which is how any Appetizer should arrive. Tasted good, nice mixture of blue cheese and hot sauce with the chicken, definitely a unique combo but it worked. I ordered the Chicken waffle sandwich which had Maple Bacon and a coleslaw mix in it, darn good, again odd mix but it was good. My fries had a tangy spice. My G/F ordered the Honey mustard Boneless Wings which were delicious and large. We ordered the Pina Colada cake and Chocolate Resses cake to go, both were good. Definitely had a nice restaurant/ sports pub mix atmosphere. I d eat here again but only with reservations.

I loved my food here! My burger was rightly cooked and very delicious. The fries are a bit too seasoned for me but they're okay. The service is also good but there might be a waiting time if you get there at a rush time.

Everything here is delicious, unique eats and the unbelievable selection of Beer, craft Beer and more. Fish frys are also on point. Personally think this is THE place to eat in Niagara Falls.

Amazing! We called ahead with reservations and were seated right away. We were overwhelmed by so many delicious sounding menu choices. Our server was prompt, but not entirely forthcoming that the portions are HUGE! It took tremendous willpower to not devour every single bite. Sadly, being out of town, we couldn't even take the leftovers. If ever we return to Niagara, we'd love to eat here again.

Server was extremely pleasant and food was delicious. Dessert is from a local bakery and changes daily!

I honestly loved this place. From the fifty plus amazing brews (from all over), to the fresh crab cakes and smoked gouda mac 'n cheese, and the great service from Chris, I couldn't have had a better experience.

Always great...phenomenal beer selection, awesome menu and great food not to mention best staff in WNY...can't say enough good things about this place!

Nice atmosphere, good service, really good food. The friend I went with is allergic to gluten, and they were knowledgeable and accommodating of her needs.

Best Restaurant around! Ate lunch and lste dinner there. Chicken and Waffles tasted good but should use dark moist meat. Baked Potato soup excellent as well as Black and Blue salad. Kona rubbed steak excellent. Service very good!

I love the Griffon! The food is very tasty and well done. The restaurant is clean and and overall enjoyable experience. Sometimes they get a little too creative with their recipees and it throws off what could be a great meal. I wish they stuck to the basics a little bit more, but still very impressive. I commend them for trying to stand out in a city with exceptional good options. It usually gets busy here because it's so good. I highly recommend this place for anyone. Its a once and a while type place based on the price for me, but I still go there once and a while!

A M A Z I N G! As an NU alumni, trips to the falls and hiking are an annual adventure, but finding a place for me to eat (gluten free, dairy free, lowfodmap options) is harder than the hiking is...

SO I went here ready to eat whatever sad meal I had in tupperware in the car and was pleasantly surprised at ALL the gluten free options, as well as the knowledge from the waitress Angalina (who needs her own separate review for how INCREDIBLE she was - attentive and had a wicked good memory - didn't write ANYTHING down and made no mistakes with our multiple orders...)

ANYWAY - I WAS IN GLUTEN FREE DAIRY FREE LOW FODMAP HEAVEN. As if my dietary restrictions aren't enough, I wanted to switch up the menu items, I ordered the "Impossible Burger" but had it prepared the same as the PB&J Burger with Vegan Cheese.
DROOL WORTHY. Who knew, peanut butter, jam, and "cheese" could make such a heavenly combo - and to top it off the burger TASTED like beef, even though it wasn't - it came served on a bed of arugula and tomatoes, packed tightly so I could use it as a "bun" (since I didn't want the GF bun..I'm picky I know).

My side was a coconut ginger rice - they had kinda limited side options for me, but that didn't matter the rice was creamy and a perfect addition.

PLUS you can do flights - so we all ordered a 6oz of our drink of choice - they had tons of beer options but even a few cider options - I loved the pineapple cider!

HANDS DOWN, A MUST GO TO FOR GREAT BURGERS AND OTHER PUB FOOD !

The Griffon is fantastic! Was in Niagara Falls for the night, and found this place on Yelp. Had the burger with maple bacon jam and it was amazing. I was considering the shells with gouda, and the bartender (Dave) suggested I sub that instead of fries. Awesome suggestion, and it really hit the spot. Huge beer selection, and some of the best service I've had. Kudos to Dave and Aaron behind the bar, and I'll be back next time in NF!

Amazeballs! I had the game burger which changes daily. It was venison on the day I ordered and it was excellent.

We've driven past this place a thousand times and never taken another look. We stopped in after hearing good things couldn't have been more impressed with the food and the service. Jeanine was our server, and it's no exaggeration to say she is the best wait staff I've experience in my lifetime. Friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable. She was proactive in anticipating our needs. Food: we started with the Bacon Jam Bruschetta...amazing. Then we had the Mangia Steak and Chicken Waffle Sandwich. You must try them both. Incredible. Another friend had the Bacon Jam Burger. See the pictures. Unbelievable. Finally, don't miss the macaroni and cheese. Not sure if it was included or we upgraded for it, but either way, don't skip them. This place truly deserves a 5 star rating.

Online menu shows a fish fry for $9.95 I called to order all the sudden it s $17. Then I called back to cancel and no one would answer the phone

We went for dinner after a funeral. Food was good but cold. (Roast beef, fries, and macc and cheese) Seemed like there was a lot of college kids there and they required a lot of attention drink wise. I'm a little disappointed because it was good just cold. I'll definitely go back. Because I love small businesses.

They have a unique craft beer list that is hard to duplicate. I enjoy the experience every time I stop by. Food is great, too!

Kangaroo burger is one of the most amazing things I've eaten here and I've yet to be disappointed by anything. Great beer selection too. Bar staff was super helpful and very friendly. I'll be back often.

This place is phenomal!!! The bar and wait staff is amazing and the food was literally to die for! I didn t expect much being an out of towner but this place makes me wanna stay in New York!! The food here is pretty good. I got the surf n turf burger which I was pretty happy with. The bbq fries were interesting (no complaints). I also had some of the mac & cheese which was better than I was expecting (I'm not really a mac & cheese fan).

My husband and I have never had a bad meal here. The staff is very friendly and the food is just amazing. The prices vary from 10.00 to 30.00. Everyone could definitely a dish. Great variety and again AMAZING FOOD.

I think that it might be a great place to eat, but only if you racially represent the rest of the population. You are hard pressed to find any colored individual among the staff or even the crowd. I arrived at the front reception to polite individuals. They told us that our wait time would 45-1 hour long, despite empty seats and handing tables over to people both before and after us. We were just two people, they did however suggest that we order take out from the bar.

Great spot with an eclectic menu. A bit noisy for Friday night dinner but there is an active bar scene. My favorite unusual twist was cucumber wasabi dressing on the salad. Nice kick and very flavorful. Dinners included stuffed fish, butter cracker crusted fish, crab/lobster cakes and cornmeal crusted fried shrimp (which were huge!). Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was attentive and very prompt.

Bigger fan of the one in Clarence but the food is unique and tasty! The loaded potato soup is amazing. Prices can be on the high side but for the most part worth it. Always great service.

Panko chicken and onion rings were delicious. Mashed potato could have been creamier.
Waitress was extremely attentive and was able to read our minds without us having to express in so many words.
Ambience is fine. The place looks a bit faded and untidy.
Since the place is jam packed at night, it would be a good idea to reserve before you set out for the pub.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to watch the Sabres game so we came here and sat at the bar. It took about 30 minutes for him to even come up to us when it wasn t very busy. We moved to the other end of the bar to see if we could get maybe better service there but boy was I wrong. The bartender was the absolute rudest person!! He didn t check on us but once which was to take our order which he seemed bent out of shape about. It got to the point where I went through my whole meal without a drink because there were now two bartenders who paid more attention to the regulars it seems that came in rather then new customers. All in all a terrible dining experience. Safe to say, I will NOT be returning to dine here.

Great location. Close to the busiest part of Niagara. The food menu is very intricate but not great tasting. I always suggest other places to tourists.

The Griffon Gastropub was an excellent choice for lunch. They had the best purple drink and service that I have ever received.
