My experience with the Greysmith Companies was highly positive and very professional. Being unemployed for a few months I was seeing how difficult it could be to get back on track with my career. I was speaking with a family friend who recommended Greysmith Companies because their son had been placed in a position through Greysmith which lead him to a full-time role within that company. I sent over my resume and was immediately contacted. After the initial meeting with Zach Prentice he knew exactly what I was looking to do and gain from my experience with Greysmith. Zach immediately set to work; sending out my resume and setting up interviews. After what looked to be a hopeful first interview the company decided not to fill the role but Zach already had a few other ideas in mind. I received a call in March of this year from Zachary Prentice at Greysmith Temporary Agency. He offered me a twelve week temporary assignment for a large company in Providence, RI. I wasn't sure the position would meet my requirements, but Zachary encouraged me to take the position stating that it could be a temp to hire position. After two weeks, Iknew the position was a good match for me. The company opened the position internally first and then opened it to non-employees. The Manager I was supporting encouraged me to apply. I applied and was hired on May 26th. I got a great job in a great company! In my professional opinion this was by far the most horrible experience I have ever had. I was new to the temp to perm. Went through the typical process, was beyond harassed by the recruiter to the point it was annoying, they are extremely responsive when it is for there needs. Was placed with what seemed to be a great company or maybe just the same was told it was a temp to perm. The direct manager there was never considering myself of the other temp as she went ahead and hired outside full time employees, had a conversation with the manager and her words were. Well I am interviewing and looking for the best best for me and my team while I have already been there for two months. I decided to end my contact as I believe an good employee who clearly knows their time is just being wasted. Then the wonderful grey smith companies decided to hold my finally pay, which is completely illegal and there response was it was sent via check, when in fact I wasn t paid by check. They define the true statement if it benefits them they are on it. This is just my opinion and my experience, coming from a very strong people background I would not recommend them at all.

I recently moved home to Rhode Island after a brief stint in Utah. Although I had really great professional experience in the health care industry, I could not, for the life of me, get anyone to call me back for an interview. After 3 months of no success, I started to give up hope and started applying for any jobs I could find, including minimum wage retail jobs. Then I got a call from Zach Prentice at Greysmith. I met with him soon after and he PROMISED me he would get me back into health care. Well, did he ever live up to his promise! Within 2 weeks he got me placed at Rhode Island Hospital as a Residency Program Coordinator. And now just 2 and a half months later, I've been hired by Lifespan as a full time, benefited employee. The Greysmith Companies were a huge help to me during this Pandemic. I really can not say enough good things about them.
Katie in particular was my coordinator/contact throughout my time with Greysmith. From day one she was attentive, knew exactly what I needed and was looking for in a job and did her absolute best to accommodate what I needed.
At the time I needed an at home position since I did not have a car, I had a particular price range I needed, and I was just looking to find something easy. She found the perfect position and after working with her for a week, I was locked in place and had secured and accepted a contracted job.
As the contract for this job dwindled and got toward the end, Katie was working to find me a new position that met all of my interests, skills, desired pay, and even distance.
When there was a position she thought was truly worth it, she would reach out and plead their case and tell me why it might be worth it. She'd work with me and for me to make sure if I wasn't interested in a position she presented, there was another one on the way within that same week.
All in all the company seems to do really well. They definitely have some amazing staff.
Katie worked tirelessly not just for me but for their other clients to make sure they were getting employed as quickly as possible.

At first seemed like a good company. I was placed with a retiree benefits company and really enjoyed my time there and the atmosphere from the other people working there. The contract ended after open enrollment ended. That is when my troubles with Greysmith started. My coordinator, Rachel Peters, was never available and scheduled me for any interview but never send the confirmation of the interview including date, time, company name and address, so as a result I missed the interview. She never responded to any of my emails including the request for the interview information nor the email I sent later when I found a new staffing agency to work with. Instead Rachel and the Greysmith company contacted unemployment and told them I had voluntarily quit, so my benefits now have been pended awaiting an appeal. Such childish behavior. I never stopped looking for a job. But went instead to an agency that had multiple companies wanting to interview me. Beware who you work for, by far Greysmith has been the most unprofessional. I would give less than 1 star if I could.
Greysmith is a very effective business! I Came back to Rhode Island in July and was trying to find work for myself with no luck. I blindly applied to Greysmith not knowing that they were in the business of finding people jobs/careers.
After one meeting, they had jobs for me to apply for and online assessment to do to streamline the paperwork for employers. Not even a week later I had interviews to go to on top of more job applications to do based on my experience and desired fields I wanted to get into. Now I am starting my first day as a permanent employee at Equity National Title.
They are kind, easy to talk to and work hard to make sure you find a job you are made for! I highly recommend going in and letting them help you!!

Terrible interrogation process on behalf of Alex, who claims to be just gathering information about your personal involvement with interviews not related to GreySmith. Brian who "sits closely" to her finds it acceptable as well, and allows her to escalate and push issues onto qualified and willing candidates when it has no bearing on any outcome. These people have poor social/professional skills. They will blame you for not cooperating when they fire question after question, antagonistically. They will ask what your schedule is, then forcibly give you one option afterwards. It is beyond awkward. Thanks but no thanks.

I have mixed feelings about the agency as a whole. Now that I am a permanent employee at a company thanks to Greysmith, I feel like I should share my experience to anyone interested or questioning going through Greysmith. Plus I've been asked twice by one of their recruiters to write one. I worked with 3 of Greysmith's consultants: Ashley, Beth, and Zach (in that order).
My experience with Ashley was dull considering she left on maternity leave before she could finish any jobs with me. She was okay and connected me with a company as a temp for a few months. Beth then became my consultant and main point of contact in her place. She was also the most tolerable in my opinion. My temp assignment ended abruptly without any notification until the afternoon after a regular work day and after that I have not heard from Beth again. In the midst of applying for more jobs, I was unemployed for about a week until Zach contacted me. I took the offer he extended me and it was okay until the constant phone calls to check up on me which was fine and I understood he was just making sure things are going well. During the days I was sick with strep, I called Zach to let him know I was unable to go into work since I was contagious and did not want to spread illness. He sounded disappointed that I was not able to go in which I did not understand why; basically sounding as if it was my fault that I fell sick. I proceeded to tell my supervisor and she was more understanding than he was. I continue to work and he continued to call for weekly updates. I pretty much gave him the same answer because it was the same every week. Winter came and snow piled which gave me a hard time to go to work (as it did for all of New England). One day however, I called Zach to describe to him my situation that my street has not been plowed and he told me in such a rude way that he was able to make it to work, so I should make every effort. This made me aggravated and annoyed because everyone has different situations. I called my supervisor to let her know my situation as well and she told me my safety is all that matters and if I cannot come in, the world will not end. How can my supervisor be so much more understanding to me as a temp than these people working in an agency that is supposed to care for their employees and help them? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the help in regards to connecting me with companies but the way I felt I was being talked to and treated was disappointing. I understand Zach's reputation (not sure if just his reputation or Greysmith's or both) was on the line in terms of having consistent employees, but that does not give him the excuse to be rude or come off as someone on a high horse. I understand this is a business, but at least follow what your company preaches in terms of treating employees.
Overall, thank you for the permanent position and sub-par experience Greysmith, but your recruiters suck (I apologize for the unscholarly word, but there are no other appropriate words to describe them).

I thought it was going to be an amazing agency to work unfortunately I made the mistake of wasting my time, I didn't even mention being pregnant once I realized I was being bounced around from person to person! I never even met Justin and when he took over my profile it really didn't seem like he cared about my employment. Leading up to my employment I was stuck on hold for a month before they were able to find me a job site! After waiting almost a month to hear back from the company that they said wasn't taking applications I was able to get set up for a interview and with that being said got the position the same day I went in for the interview. Beware of the company NG&G as well I literally was treated so horrible first day due to car troubles and ended up not being able to keep the position! They are a company that will pick and choose who they want to work with and who will make them the most money. . . If your looking for employment in Rhode Island just get yourself into a real company the agencies are a huge waste of time was super surprised of the outcome with this company I'm OVER the temp agency business!

I was contacted by a recruiter for a position at a company in my area. I was told it was temp to permanent by the first contact with Greysmith andnI was offered an interview with the company directly. At the interview I was informed it was temp only with an unknown end date but there was no path or option to go to permanent. I felt blind sided and completely deflated. When the recruiter contacted me after I wasn t interested and she strong armed me into trying the job while I look for something else. I wasn t even job hunting in the first place, they had found my resume on an old site. After this I was expected to drive over an hour to fill out at I9 which luckily I came with since they weren t prepared when I came for my appointment. The weekend before starting I had a medical emergency come up, part of the reason I wasn t job hunting was my health. I emailed the company and the recruiter to inform them I was being hospitalized and could not move forward with the position. The recruiter accused me of being unprofessional for informing them via email when it was a weekend and I had no idea if I was going in for surgery or what was happening. I felt it was incredibly rude and unprofessional on their part to be rude when someone isn t interested or can t fulfill a position. I didn t want to wait until Monday morning when they were expecting me at 8am. All in all, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth for the company and they are still sending me emails even though I requested to be removed from their list. There s plenty of other recruiters out there, try literally anyone else.

My first experiance with Greysmith was great. Jenna got me a temporary job faily quick. But the second time dealing with the same person, I just got the run around. Was told that there were a few jobs available and they would call me back but I never heard from Jenna or anyone from the company again. Wasted a lot of my time dealing with them.
This was my first time going thru a temp agency and I was a bit nervous to have to go thru it but Alex, my supervisor was very helpful thru the whole process. She placed me in a company that went from a temp to permanent placement. I would highly recommend The Greysmith Company.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I submitted my resume online, went into the office, filled out a lot of paperwork, had an interview with Zach P. He told me he could definitely help me find a job. After the interview, however, he completely blew me off. To the point where he didn't even email me the Excel test that he promised he would. Haven't heard from him and its been over 3 weeks.
Thank you (not) for wasting my time and energy, and letting me down big time

I m basing my rating on the experience dealing directly with Greysmith. I m giving them two stars because The company I was assigned to was great, my co workers and leads were all friendly and awesome to work with. However, the assignment was ending soon so I decided to look for a permanent position. The day I put my notice, the company told me that I was unable to stay, they don t have a 2 week notice system which I thought was bizarre, but they let me work one final day. I came into work and one hour in- they kicked me off all the systems. So I left, I called Greysmith and spoke to Alex. She made me feel so awful, saying I handled things unprofessional because I didn t let them know I was searching elsewhere. First of all, I don t NEED to let them know anything. If I decide to look for another position, that is MY concern. If the company I worked for decided to boot me off the systems, how was I supposed to do my job? I ve never dealt with an agency that was so rude and nosy. Vernon, the recruiter I worked with was nice but that s about it.. for anyone looking to work with them, just know they re nice to you once they place you somewhere. But when you decide to leave, the turn on you and make you feel awful.
This was my first time working with a recruiter. I had a great experience with my recruiter Alexandra Scuncio from start to finish. She was outstanding, proactive, very pleasant, professional, friendly and knowledgeable, she listened to my needs and found me a great job fast. Alex took the time to get to know me and build a relationship with me and also guided me through difficult times. Alex was always available when needed and kept me very well informed throughout the process. I am very pleased with Greysmith Companies and will recommend their services to everyone.

More than just your average agency. They make it known they care and stay in touch by not only following up but following through on their word. They also made the process and transition smooth compared to most other agencies. Over all, very professional all around no matter who you get, whether it's your first call or even first time walking in. I highly recommend them, can't brag enough about them on the regular.

I had a terrible experience with this company when they called me to try to make me come in to have an interview. They basically wanted me to come in and give them all my personal information SSN included, before I would even talk to my interviewing party. When they called, they specifically asked if I was unemployed and what type of work I was looking for. It was a very uncomfortable call, because you could tell they were trying to pre-qualify you as someone they could rip off. I have read many reviews of how they really price gouge with their temp contracts. Anyway, she proceeded to rush me into an interview that I didn't want, and then I actually researched them online. All the 'really real' reviews were 1 or 2 stars. I emailed the recruiter back and told her that I wanted to cancel my interview because they didn't have anything specific to offer me, and that I had read a lot of bad reviews. I got a call from her the next day, where she proceeded to argue with me as to why I was wrong and she was right. Really? Who ARE you that you are calling me when I already told you I am NOT interested, just to whine and try to tell me that I am wrong about what is publicly shared about you online? I hung up on her, after she started telling me how wrong I was for assuming she was a scammer. She then proceeded to continue the debate through email, telling me I should check this solid A+ reviews on google. Seems, like I said before, that 95% of these reviews are fake made over the years either by 'google users' or by non-nondescript fake accounts with 1 overwhelmingly positive review for greysmith only. This company is a joke, a scam, and employs whining babies who will harass you and call you repeatedly trying to argue with you. I hope they enjoy reading my review.
At first, the staff seemed supportive and when it was time to go for interviews, they would mess up my date and time. Didn't hear from them months after that. Very disappointing.

I contacted Greysmith Co's approximately 5 years ago. My original contact was Jennifer K. She was very professional and stayed in contact with me for the next couple of weeks. It seemed she was determined to find the right fit. Well the fit came for a part-time position with a internationally known company with headquarters in Johnston, RI. It was a temporary assignment with a indefinite time frame. I always felt it may end at any given time. To date, I have been there 5 years now and last week was offered and full time position with full benefits.Through these years Jennifer and I had periodic contact. Always professional and kind. Whenever I needed periodic figures for my hours worked or something other than a W-2, she would make me feel that my needs were a priority. I am truly grateful to have had such a person to relate to during this long assignment. I would recommend Greysmith with a abundance of confidence.

I worked with Kerry McBride for awhile trying to find the perfect position for me. I had some pretty strict criteria and she never even batted an eye or told me I was crazy. She remained in constant contact with me regardless of there being a position I was a fit for or not which was wonderful. Being unemployed is stressful enough without having to track down the people helping you all of the time. When the "perfect" position finally rolled around her enthusiasm was contagious. It was delightful to have such an enthusiastic cheerleader with me throughout all of the interviews and waiting. Job hunting is not easy, but Kerry found me a perfect job and was with me every step of the way. The position started as temporary with the hopes of turning into a permanent position. Even though I was "placed" she never left my side still checking in and still looking out for me because we didn't have that permenant status yet. I'm so grateful for all of her help. I don't know what I would have done without her and am grateful I didn't have to find out!

Upon review of my resume she was really confident that I was well qualified and would have no problem fitting into positions she would consider me for. She was honest about the process of being a temp and did not sugar coat and make empty promises. I was able to help Elaine is a few temp positions which actually helped me regain my confidence and self esteem. She did not forget my willingness to be available and worked very hard to find me the right fit. I reached out to Greysmith Companies about 2 months ago. I spoke with a recruiter who took all my information and resume and insisted she would find me the job I was looking for. I have followed up with her once and never heard from her again. Not very professional.
Made me fill out so many documents for nothing! They never followed up! Needless to say, I obtained a state job! Better off anyway.
I signed up with several agencies in RI when I suddenly found myself unemployed. All of them were useless and didn't work for me at all except for the Greysmith Companies in Providence. All agencies are sales oriented but Greysmith knows how to balance the sales end with the people end. I worked with Kerry McBride and I always felt like she was on my side and was legitimately trying to get me back to work. She answered my emails and concerns within hours and never ignored me like other agencies did. I went on 2 interviews and was offered both jobs. I ended up taking one and becoming a full time permanent employee with Kerry's help. An extra bonus was she always encouraged me, pointed out my strengths and my positive qualities and she listened to my anger and frustration at being unemployed/temporarily employed. She also gave me a lot of valuable advice. Another good point is most agencies want to keep you on a temporary basis because it's more money for them the longer you are a temporary employee. Kerry actually fought hard to make me permanent at my current company because she knew I wouldn't be happy until that happened. She actually put what I wanted before herself and the money she would have made. This is why I recommend this agency. When you find yourself unemployed it is already a stressful and depressing time. It's nice when someone gives you hope and makes you feel like things will turn around again very soon for the best. It's even better when they actually work hard for you, get you interviews and ultimately get you employed. Greysmith got me through a very stressful time in my life and I am grateful for all their help, especially Kerry's help.
The company helped me find two placements and both paid significantly more than what I had been making. My experience was entry-level yet I was actually able to make a living wage with the help of Greysmith.
Katie was the staff member I communicated with most and she did a great job of relaying everything I needed to know in a way that was extremely helpful and personable. The process of finding a placement moved much faster than I had expected and I really appreciate her and the rest of the staff for doing such a great job in that regard.

NO phone calls, email followups to my requests. Not a reputable company nor their staff. Gratefully I found full time employment through a job placement agency out of Arizona and currently in contract for 3 months with a local fortune 500 company here in RI. After the 3 months, I will become a permanent employee. I wish everyone the very best on their job searches and to heed all of our warnings who were negatively impacted by this incompetent company.
Coming into a temp agency I was pretty reluctant at first because of the stigma about it but decided to give it a go. I had an interview and waited over a week to hear anything back they then called me back again to say to try for a position and they never called back again so this place you go for an interview which is in an Old Mill it takes 15 minutes in an Old Mill to find the office which is all hot scary no exits if there was a fire I don't know you probably would die so this place is like weird

Greysmith was not the first temp agency I have worked with. In fact, I have gone through temp agencies many times in my career. Greysmith was one of the best, if not the best, I have worked with. They were eager and motivated to find me the right job placement and did not give up on me like so many other temp agencies in the past. I ended up with a very good company and a job that matched my skill set and just recently got hired full time! I would not hesitate to recommend Greysmith to anyone as they did a first class, professional job and I would work with them again without second thought.

Greysmith worked some magic getting me my job in analytics. When they came to me with a contract-to-perm opportunity, I was looking at two 2nd-round interviews coming up and had to pass, but then the perspective company got Greysmith to poke me again and I gave it a shot knowing that those interviews might turn up a job offer. A couple weeks into the contract position and a job offer came in, which every party was aware was a possibility, but that's when things got complicated. I was enjoying my contract position, but an offer is an offer, so I asked Greysmith if they could work something out with the contract company. Through a ton of negotiations, they made it happen. I now have a job that I'm happy with and it's largely because of the persistence and communication skills of the Greysmith team, particularly Vernon and Jennifer. Thank you for all your help!
I submitted my resume to Greysmith and 6 minutes later I received a call Ashley. Management saw my resume come through and asked her to call me immediately. Ashley advised they had a position with a client just come available and I would be an excellent fit. I agreed to come to Greysmith the next day with my credentials. After meeting with Ashley, she called me to advise her client wanted to have a phone interview (this was Thurs and the call was Friday). I had one phone interview which went well. I went to the client for a personal interview which lasted 2 hours. The job was originally temp to hire and the client decided to hire me on the spot. I am grateful to Ashley and Greysmith for opening a door which I would not have access to on my own. I recommend using Greysmith, they can find jobs which are the right fit, cut down your search time because they bring the clients to you (so to speak). I had been searching for 4 weeks before I decided to contact Greysmith. It turned out ok for me but I urge all who are considering it to contact them first! Let the professionals do what they do best, find a great job/position for you! I cannot guarantee results as fast as mine but you dont get what you dont ask for! Thank you Greysmith and Ashley!
