The Green Park Brasserie Review

Plenty of space inside but also a seating area out the back, but that can get a bit noisy as it is right next to Sainsbury's car park. The staff are friendly and they make a pretty good coffee too. The food looks and smells amazing, but I am yet to eat here.

Amazing food, my mouth exploded with flavor and i wanted more. The food is a tad pricy but i think it is well worth the money. The presentation is lovely and so is the live music which makes a romantic comfortable and calming vibe. The table service was good although could of been a little bit faster. Would highly recommend this restaurant if u want a fancy meal with a loved one or a group of friends for a relaxing evening.

Great coffee and good food along with excellent staff

Went here for a work night out and it was a lovely setting! They offered a gluten free pizza (outside in the pizza bit), staff were nice and just had a good time in general!

Glacial service and very mediocre food. Doesn't deserve add many stars as it has.

We both had steaks and they were the best ones that we've had for a long time. Service was fast and friendly, what more could one ask for a Sunday lunch.

The food was well prepared and the service was first rate. Music was not overpowering and we had an enjoyable evening.

This would have got five stars from me. I love the live bands. But some of the menu items smell so bad that when your eating your own food, that's all that you can smell, literally made me feel sick. Why should other people's food taint your own due to the smell. Its a pity, as its a lovely place, i wont be in here when food is being served any more. TWICE IN ONE NIGHT

Brilliant, relaxed evening, we loved the small cosy space that the staff referred to as 'the library' - perfect for a romantic dinner and for listening to the live music. The waitress was very friendly and helpful throughout the evening. I More

Absolutely Amazing food. From the starters to the desserts. Could not fault a single thing. If this was a local Restaurant we would be coming here all the time. Service is second to none. If you want my opinion ask for Brian, very friendly and professional.

Nice roast, the butter squash sauce was a great touch.

The food was great, as was the music, however, the service was quite poor.

The staff and the music were wonderful, as were the main courses.

Had a table booked for 8.30 but didn t get our main course until 10.22 , which we had to rush to catch a train. The music was good , but way too loud and it was impossible to have a conversation.
The food was ok but not sure it was worth the price or the wait.
Definitely not for us.

Booked a table late on Friday 7th August about 30 min before the kitchen closed with a nice young chap whose name I can't remember unfortunately for myself wife and son aged 9. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Couldn't not fault their professionalism. We ordered ribs. Delicious My wife and son ordered fried chicken as a main very substantial and delicious. I ordered 8 or sirloin medium rare. Good quality tasty steak..Great atmosphere and the team definitely gel. Highly recommended

Twice in one weekend! We loved the live jazz on the Saturday night (excellent Steak and Sea Bass) so we returned during our long weekend in Bath on the Sunday for a very good Sunday Roast Beef. Food outstanding and friendly service, plus local markets outside for a wander about after.

Good food with a live band creating a very relaxed atmosphere. Would go again

A decent place to get a hamburger. I was ordered a 12 Oz hamburger. which is what you see in one of the photos I uploaded. Excellent, but I think that for a normal hunger even the 6 Oz one will suffice. .... :)

Too bad you re making Sunday roast reservations if you re not serving any on the day

Amazing food and lovely staff. Quick service and was worth the money. Enjoyed a roast dinner here and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a meal and a few drinks. Nice atmosphere too.

First time visiting. We were not happy with the food and it was pricey. My caesar salad had a mayo dressing? My husband's chicken was flavorless and my father-in-laws steak was tough. For some reason the place was filled with a burnt smoke smell and haze.

Would not go back.

Went for my mums 70th birthday! Great atmosphere, lovely food (I had the steak and brulee) - a delay with sides (fries for the 3 of us having steak, and vegetables for those having fish pie). Apologies and a round of free drinks helped and service was otherwise fab.

Really interesting place with lots of atmosphere. The music is pretty loud (hard to avoid with a real band in a small venue), so only go if you really like swing. The service was dreadfully slow. We had to prod someone to bring our drinks after a good 20 minute wait, and then the next drink order went AWOL as well. The meal was great in parts - the dhal was tasty and the veg perfectly cooked, but the chicken had been overcooked and was very dry. When we brought this up, they did knock it off the bill. Understaffing the biggest problem here, I think.

I was part of a large group that had gone for their Christmas meal, there were also a few other groups doing the same so it set the scene for a good evening.
There was plenty of room at the tables - no banging of elbows that you sometimes get on these occasions, where guests are shoe - horned in.
The starter was perfect, I had soup which can go cold quickly but this was nice and hot. Considering the number of guests they were catering for, I was very pleasantly surprised that we all received our food together - as they had about four people serving each group.
All of the food arrived nice and hot, and the service was excellent. I partly expected the food to have been reheated or only warm due to the number of guests, but everything was excellent - I couldn't fault anything.
Clearly a well run establishment and certainly up to the task of entertaining large groups.

Fortunately for us they had a cancellation so we were able enjoy a steak meal and excellent live jazz.

The camembert starters are Amazing! As are the lovely staff, decor, food & ambience! We enjoyed our time so much we came back the next day A must visit & Absolutely Awesome place!

I was celebrating my anniversary, super motivated by the atmosphere of the place. Jazz music was great and the food delicious, I don't give it 5 stars because the service was very slow, although we booked it took 20 min waiting for them to vacate a table.

Lovely restaurant that exceeded my expectations. The food was great, staff are friendly and nice and service was good. The band playing tonight was amazing and was playing all the songs I love. The ambiance made our anniversary very special. Will definitely recommend this place!

Nice atmosphere on a Sunday lunchtime for socialising, but a little disappointed with the menu and portion size for the price. Having said that, I d like to go back to try it out one evening when there s live music.

Charming place with very good food without breaking the bank

Myself and my partner stayed in Bath for a break in June, We booked the Green Park Brasserie due to a table being available at the time we wanted to eat. I'm sure if you do not know your way around and used a Sat-Nav it took you to the other Green Park? It did us, however when we got re-directed to this one we were pleasantly surprised, the music was fantastic, the place was buzzing, the staff were all very friendly, we were seated straight away, didn't have to wait long for our drinks and our food order was taking when we were ready! the service was brilliant, and I did not expect the food to reach the same standard as the wonderful service! But WOW what can I say I could have eat and eat, The food was out of this world, it melted in my mouth! If I had a bigger stomach I would have ordered another sitting!! But thought 3 was plenty! I would highly recommend this place and if If we decide to ever go back to bath I would return to Green park!

Nice venue in the old train station. Quite small and when full, creates a din which can make enjoying the live music a bit difficult.

A fantastic place to eat and be entertained. We were a party of 8, complete with ducks - the waitress understood and joined in with the spirit of the evening !! Great place, great food, great atmosphere! Green Park Brasserie is located in a former 1870s railway station, and has this quirky and elegant touch from the past. There was a live band playing jazz classics, which was music to our ears And the food was really delicious; I had the vegan burger, and it is one of the best I have ever had. I really recommend, it was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday.

Waited too long to be served our meal. In the meantime two of the ordered meals had rin out and we had to pmace different requests. To be fair it was very busy and we booked for 2:30. Food was ok althogh the fish pie was not to my taste.

I visited Bath for a couple of nights and this was hands down the best eatery I visited. The food was excellent and the live jazz was an added bonus! The staff are very friendly and happy to help with suggestions on choosing what to eat. Would definitely recommend.

Nice interior. Friendly staff and very nice owner. Delicious pizza from Pizzacorner. Short walk to the old town. Gladly again! Also ideal for travel groups.

Good service and great breakfast on Saturday morning

Amazing setting and wonderful food. We found green park brasserie during the Bath Festival and what a find it was! Enjoyed the live music in the old railway station and then later on inside the main restaurant. We came back for lunch the next day, I had the Brasserie burger and we sat outside under the railway station roof which has a wonderful atmosphere - there was a farmers market going on too where they buy some of their produce. Will be back on next visit to Bath.

The place is very clean and suitable for groups. The staff are also very friendly and go out of their way to help and make your visit enjoyable. Unfortunately, I always go there, somehow, on Tuesdays when they only serve pizza. The place is also on the expensive side. Worth a visit all the same.

Staff were nice. Reasonably priced food & drink. But run by students so i got a martini in a wine glass i respect that's not major but just basic knowledge!

Great food, fast service. The night I dined here a jazz trio were there. A great addition to the atmosphere!

Wedding anniversary dinner!
Wonderfully attentive staff, Brasserie burger was full of unexpected flavour and a total hit for my carnivore husband, I had the hake special which was bursting with fresh flavours, a horseradish mousse was a lovely pairing.
Music was great quality and general atmosphere really top notch.
Thank you to the friendly genuinely attentive staff, you can tell they all believed in the food and service they were delivering!

Good to have choice of pizzas or brasserie food, and love jazz was fun

Great lovely central bar with great decor. It part of the old green park train station which used to be the main line into Bath in the earlier half of the 1900's so it has a great appeal. This combined with the big Sunday Market or the general weekly market stalls out the back where the platforms used to exist is fantastic. The old wooden platforms are still there. Anyway. Great food great service and they have a cool fantastic pizza oven and seating out the back (under cover where the trains used to pull in. Also sheltered seating out the front facing the town centre

Food and service was fantastic, our waiter Lewis was amazing. Must highly recommend the sirloin steak, melted in the mouth.

Had a wonderful evening here in their beautiful venue. Very good steak and live jazz band which created a brilliant atmosphere. Staff did well considering how busy they were.

Planned ahead with the management for a group visit. On arrival none of what we agreed was ready. We had to wait for over an hour to be seated and no apology was given. Food and waiting staff were very good, but still no apology from management and no acknowledgement or reply to an email I sent. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

Great pre theatre meal. Friendly service and excellent food in what used to be a Victorian railway station. The food (Brasserie burger and Fish pie) were of a high standard and there is a good selection of wines and beer on the bar. Cosy environment on a busy Friday evening. Will be back for the live music in the new year. Thank you for squeezing us in on a busy night!

Waited for over an hour for food, and cancelled order in the end, thankfully we weren't charged for any drinks that arrived [late], food that did arrive was nice...
