A must see! Worth every cent ,the beer isnt too bad as well!

You will have to try beer at this fairy tale wood house, nicer on a rainy day beside the fireplace.

Don't be stupid, it's the shire! If you miss this then you need to rethink how you vacation/holiday. They give you some pretty awesome behind the scenes facts on this specific setting from the movies. Oh, and you get a free taste of some hobbit ale/cider on the tour so that's awesome, right?

Fantastic place haven't seen the movie but great experience to get your curiosity flowing would recommend a visit to this movie set. Well done Peter Jackson.

The place is very well decorated as well as costumes to dress up as your favourite characters.

On a rainy day best place to sit and drink your cider is beside the fireplace.

Amazing visit to Hobbiton .Very refreshing chilled drink in pottery cups at the inn .Only disappointment was the tacky and expensive souvenirs at gift shop . Maybe use ideas from Hobbiton such as pottery mugs and handcrafted things people would be willing to pay for . A great day !

Created in the style of the Green Dragon Inn from the famed LOTR and Hobbiton movies, this gives you your very own chance to be a character in Tolkien's universe.

A life time experience. We made our booking through New Zealand inter city bus service. Ole was our tour guide in the hobbiton movie set. He made the whole experience really captivating and interesting by telling us back stage stories and how the director made the whole set more real and visually awesome for the movie audience.

Authentic Hobbiton. The ale and meat pie were both delicious! Everyone working was efficient, talkative, and quite friendly.

It's coming from a person who has not seen the movies and I still enjoyed it. They have maintained the property well. Beer is alright - they give you like 200ml so don't expect much. Food is alright - nothing to rave about. The property though is beautiful and quite authentic. A must do.

Getting to Hobbiton and Green Dragon Inn was a dream come true.
The place is so authentic and fantastic, so you might believe that you are actually in the Lord of the Rings. Even the beer which is brewed there is so unique as the whole experience. The beer specifically is brewed and sold only on the set, so it all also adds to the being in the moment. I absolutely recommend to try and buy absolutely anything that you wish as this is completely worth it

Everyone was so nice, stout was sub par get the cider instead.

Beautiful setting. It'll set you back $84 NZD for the problem to get to buy food there, but the food isn't over-priced and you get an included beverage. Expect to only spend 20 minutes here. It's picturesque and beautiful though.

Very cool experience. The drinks are good, but limited in selection. The whole experience is great.

This is the iconic pub from the LotR movies, beautifully created and well preserved. Their drinks are what you would expect - ale and cider, plus ginger beer. The ambience makes you feel like you could see a hobbit walk in the door anytime.
We had booked the 'Hobbit Feast', which was everything you could hope for! The dishes were hot, plentiful and beautifully displayed! The service was wonderful, and the hosts were great! Highly recommended!

Even if you aren't a LotR fan, this is an incredible experience.

What a nice place! Unfortunately we had only 15 minutes time for one free drink and a meal (which you have to buy by yourself - that's okay). I really would have enjoy this place for a longer time but while this booked tour it wasn't possible. Very tasty apple cider and Snacks (Cheese-filled roll, Muffins, Cookies) and a really nice tour guide, too. :)

If you are a LOTR fan or not, you will love this place. The drinks are tasty, food cheap, staff friendly and setting exciting. The cat curled up by the fire was a nice addition.
