Would come back just for the fried feta and desser...
Would come back just for the fried feta and desserts!
Would come back just for the fried feta and desserts!
The food here is great. One of the tastiest salads and hand cut real CHIPS not pathetic fries. All they need now is Taramasalata and I will be in heaven.
A top spot for tasty greek food. Cool location to meet with coworkers. Certainly worth a return trip. The bill was good for how much you get. Feels like a place in Charlotte that I enjoyed visiting.
This place is a gem! The chicken souvlaki and accompanying sides were so delicious! Beyond the food, the staff was so gracious and accommodating. I was having dinner alone and Sana was so kind and made me feel very welcome. Adam was also a terrific server. The other gentleman in the front, Peter, was terrific as well. Great experience in a beautiful space!
Fantastic atmosphere, service, and food. Highly recommend the spread and olives appetizers, braised short rib, and the roasted chicken. Will return soon without a doubt!
LOVE LOVE LOVE one of the best Greek restaurants I ve been to very allergy friendly and amazing food
The food was delicious. Reminded me of being in Greece.
Truly rustic Greek food, of the highest integrity. The only all natural Greek wine list in the country, with rare wines from indigenous grapes, organic / biodynamic from small growers. What else could one ask for?
The Greek is my go-to for lunch with friends and clients alike. The unique food selection quick service always impress, and the ambiance always wins me over. The warm lighting and wood paneling make the space both cozy and elegant. A true dining experience!
Amazing food, super cool/chill ambiance and decor. Didn't order any mains but the 6 small plates and salad we had were all fantastic. Hard to even pick a favorite but the Greek Salad was probably the best I've had. The octopus and shrimp were definitely highlights as well.
Great date spot!
Lots of gf options on the varied menu, clearly marked but do double check- the 'spreads' are marked as gf but one contains bread.
Amazing fresh food in a little corner of Tribeca. Food is delicious and service is very attentive too
Everything is amazing. Literally everything I had was fabulous. I would DEFINITELY recommend and I can't wait to go back. This is the type of place I would make a trip out to the city for just because I like their food.
Dark ambiance. Not really a fan of greek food, but the lamb was good. The bread with dip was also good. The burger patties and sasauge were ehh. Ordered the mixed grill for two. The fries were good. Parking wasn't that hard to find in this area. This place also had the first black toilet I've seen in a bathroom.
Very nice restaurant. Staff is friendly, food is good, wine is exceptional.
Excellent drinks (try the Minos), potato-croquette-with-honey (forget name) was amazing, and an impressive mixed grill.
I was in search of a place to quickly dine before a meeting in the area. I came upon The Greek and was very pleased with my visit. Aside from the good food, the welcoming atmosphere, and elegant simplicity, the service was impeccable. Nearly each time I took a sip of my water, the server was right by my side to refill the glass, ensuring that I never made my way to an empty one. Tom was very cordial, and accommodating. As a fellow business owner that focuses on quality vs quantity, I appreciate their approach, and look forward to dining at The Greek again.
Came here for drinks after work. Have really accommodating and friendly staff.
Drinks are delicious and made artistically.
The space is also really well designed.
This place is amazing. The apps, the food. Try the lamb and if you're up for spices, try the minos.
This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. From the service to atmosphere to the flavor, all around 5 stars. This place is a great place to go with small to medium sized groups and definitely a great date spot with your significant other.
Great authentic Greek food. Nice unique cocktails as well
Great restaurant, good food, good vibes. Friendly staff. Moussaka portion was a bit small though but tastes really good. Thank you!
The Greek is a fantastic restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. The atmosphere is perfect, combining great lighting and tasteful decoration. We were made to feel very welcome by our host Peter and hope to visit again on our next trip to NYC. Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere and superb food & service. Will be back with friends and colleagues.
The lamb chops in the $60 grill lunch special were sad and embarrassing, everything else was good, arrive early, service suffers at full capacity.
Really yummy modern fresh flavors of Greek food. Service was great. We tasted Greek wine to go with our fabulous grilled salad and spicy shrimp and finished with Greek coffee and Baklava. What a good yummy late lunch. Will be back soon
An extremely good place with wonderful appetizers and amazing main menus.
The interior made the place very coazy.
Overall great service and food. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the outside patio had so many flies that our meal wasn't enjoyable. The food was great. The service was great. It was just that patio and it's flies. There is plenty of parking.
Nice location for delicious greek food. I was super full. The service here is above par. Bring your appetite because portions are generous. Feels similar to a restaurant in New York I liked.
Not friendly to black people especially the manager.
We had dinner there with friends who wanted to invite my husband and I to congratulate us on our wedding - which happened to take place in Greece! We know Greek cuisine very well and love it very much, and so I honestly expected to be a little disappointed, as I have been with many Greek restaurants in New York in the past. Well it was not the case this time! The food was very traditional and very good.
Being a vegetarian I was not able to try any of the entrees, but we ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and they were all great! I heard from my friends at the table that the shrimp and the octopus were also delicious.
And, last but not least, they had very good Masticha (traditional greek alcohol which we ve had trouble finding here in New York).
If you like Greek cuisine and miss it, I definitely recommend that you visit The Greek. It s not Greece of course, but it s pretty close considering that you are actually in the heart of the city.
I rarely write reviews unless I have an absolutely exceptional experience somewhere which is exactly what we had last night at The Greek. We met and chatted with the owner during dinner who couldn't have been a nicer and more welcoming host than he was. His wine recommendation based our what we asked for was spot on and we absolutely loved it. I've been to plenty of Greek restaurants that were supposed to be top notch and the food here put everywhere else to shame. Portions were perfectly sized and you could taste that our dishes were prepared by someone who cares. Atmosphere was pleasant and very comfortable, can't say enough good things about this place. I don't think anyone could come here and not have a great dining experience.
Amazing restaurant. My friend and I enjoyed the wine selection, spreads, salads and apps. Will definitely be back, one of my new favorite places in NYC.
Came back twice, great mixed grill, service, and atmosphere.
A well decorated Greek restaurant with top level ambiance, service and experience. Many of the dishes have been the best I have had. I will likely keep this on a very short list of restaurants to revisit despite the endless options.
Great experience, great service and great food. Really recommended when you are fed fast food!
Lavender lamb chops were sumptuous and ambiance is a portal to another world. But service was limited-to-nonexistent on a slow night surprising given the Michelin Star.
love this place!!!!. it's my Bf and I secret spot in the city. we come here all the time. the staff makes us feel truly welcome and like we are family who have been transported to Greece for dinner at yiayia's house. Food is delicious and beyond transcendent.
For a non busy restaurant, the service was bloody awful!!! The server took 7 minutes to greet me and rudely asked me if I was ready to order. Of course I'm ready to order it took you 7 minutes to greet me! He took the order and I never saw him again. I had the helpers bring me my one dish... By the way the food was not even good. Had he done his job and asked while I had the food in front of me, he would've known.
The staff made excuses for the waiter (blonde guy with hipster glasses) saying that his shift changed and all sorts of lies. Being an ex-server, I know how good service should be given and this place has severely soured me that I needed to warn people not to go there.
I'm not normally a person that gives feedback but this was so bad... Worst eating experience in NYC!
Delicious! We had a bunch of dishes and it was all very tasty. The octopus for appetizer and moussaka as a main were my highlights. The Greek version of a brownie for dessert was sublime.
Our Greek server was extremely friendly, knowledgable and full of recommendations - including which Greek islands to visit off the beaten path.
The atmosphere is very nice, dimly lit with candles - a great spot for a date or intimate night out with good friends.
I really liked the atmosphere and setup of this place. It really was like a movie theater and if you sat outside under the string lights, you will see a movie casted on the building outside.
The food was really good! We ordered avocado toast and beef carpaccio. Both very tasty and healthy. My husband ordered the sesame chicken and I ordered the duck. Medium raw was the perfect temp for this duck! It was juicy and paired well with the pickled cabbage side. I really liked the pickles cabbage, but the other pickled veggies were bitter tasting. There was also a hair in my dish. My husband's chicken was extremely salty. Unfortunately everything that touched the chicken also was equivocally salty. He tried to eat his chicken but it was just too over seasoned.
Overall it was a good dining experience and great food. The bill came out to $130 which isn't bad for two appt, two entrees and two drinks
Could not have enjoyed it more! It was a great choice by my husband to meet for lunch. Great atmosphere, perfectly prepared upscale Greek food! Memories of small villages in Santorini came tumbling back.
Extremely overpriced. Food is only but ok. They serve ice in the salad. Thought it was a mistake, but our mediocore server said, no, not a mistake. Won't be back.
We love to ask for their version of a tasting menu. It is absolutely fabulous!
Very nice business casual lunch place. Excellent service and good location.
Great food quality. Very adaptive staff (we were way too many than it was stated in the reservation).
Impressed with this place after 10 days in New York. Lamb chops were fab, mousaka like wise. Service attentive, great atmos, not too noisy, wonderful incense, meze v good as well.
A well decorated Greek restaurant with top level ambiance, service and experience. Many of the dishes have been the best I have had. I will likely keep this on a very short list of restaurants to revisit despite the endless options.
The selection of dips and grilled octopus are the best starters and you should end with a frappe
Go here for the quality experience. The food is good l, but the service is high end to say the least.
Great place for delicious food and a drink around Tribeca..! Plan your trip with a reservation.
Cozy little Greek place great for a bite or drink. Nice bar.
A gem in Tribeca, The Greek has fantastic food and is a great option for neighborhood locals or even for a trip outside your hood. The whole roasted fish is a favorite, as well as those Greek fries. Lots of options for simple, well-prepared food.
I had chicken souvlaki with rice and it was delicious!
A quaint Tribeca spot for some traditional Greek fare. Food was nice but service is slow and unattentive.
Very small out of the way place that has some great Greek food. Very dimly lit and very quant. Not many tables but in the warm weather they have extra outside.
The service was very fast and my water glass aways filled. Would go back again.
Baklava and ice cream... spectacular! The amazing staff of the warmth of Greece, the United States, Mexico. Comfort and great atmosphere, very good.
Authentic, flavorful and great service. The perfect representation of NYC dining.
Hidden gem in TriBeCa. The service is bar none better than any restaurant I have ever been to in NYC. They make you feel welcomed and part of the family. As good as the service is, the decor changes every season and always feels warm. As for the food, it is truly amazing. For appetizers, the Greek salad, the spreads and the octopus are our favorites. For the main courses, the scallops and mixed grill are our go to dishes. Desert get the flourless cake, it's to die for. Trust me, if you try this place you will be a repeat customer for life.
Coming from MIA to try this beautiful and super tasty Greek food. Hardly recommended. The food is very tasty. Original feta cheese, Greek spreads good option and lamb Unic tasty flavor.
Very good service. I was party of one. They give me the option of small portions to be able to try many dishes. Very reasonable price. Ah, I can t forgot RAPSANI wine recommendation, was excellent with the lamb!!!!!!!!!! Cozy place and great music.
Very cozy and nicely decorated spot. I loved the lamb chops and pear with pastourmia both were great.
Great neighborhood restaurant with friendly staff, great greek meatballs, and an even better meze and farmhouse salad!
Went with my daughter had a absolutley delcious lunch there did all apps an martini service was spot on an fast waitstaff was very gracious best food we had in ny for the 24 hours we were there felt full an healthy from the freshness of the food an bathroom was gorgeous
Amazing food, wonderful hosts. Finish with the baklava!
Simply perfection. My husband and I ate brunch here, and the food, the atmosphere, the service, everything was amazing! Reasonable prices for the area. Adding this to one of my favorite spots in NYC
Cozy place. Make sure you get reservation else this place gets packed pretty fast. Fish of the day was very good but the portion was little small. Entree itself may not be enough for meal. So, remember to order appetizer.
Great place to have some Greek coffee. They used to have a great vegetarian harvest bowl with rice and greens but unfortunately they changed their menu :(
Amazing Greek dishes. Very nice location and excellent service. A nice place to stop by!
Very consistent quality , would definitely recommend for food and drinks
