I rented from seminary park and pro rented to walk...

I rented from seminary park and pro rented to walk in with nothing done.over charged me moving in with security deposit and haven't seen it back yet.a week into the apt I had to fight to get apt cleaned and painted and rug shampooed.windows all broke and promise to fix them ,didn't happen.mini blinds dirty and told me they would clean them ..didn't happen, and garage disposal hanging under the sink without knowing that was a message.being here for 1week I open my door to find out they sold the building.the sale was on June 29th.we got no notice.tge new owners has there hands full and trying there best.still didn't see my money back yet and the way they are they probably keep it.i don't take that light.irs good to see gormans gone.and for manger and maintence at the time they owned it that was a lie and joke.norn was useless and Renee promised and got nothing .

Do not rent from these people, they lost my 30 day...

Do not rent from these people, they lost my 30 day notice 3 times, and now will not give me my deposit back I moved out in May it is August have been to the office 6 times. They just give me the run around. They never call you back. They do not fix things promptly. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

There are several objective reasons why this place...

There are several objective reasons why this place deserves 1 star or less:

1. There is an apartment property owned by Gorman and Company which is run by Dana the property manager who has to run another complex nearby and is often not on site. The hours 9 am to 6 pm weekdays are incubate because often no one is on site to help. Like today, I was waiting in the management office until 11 am and no one came in to work. Then I saw another resident who asked if I work here because his door has issues.

2. The property seems nice but the management does not know how to manage it. For example, the doors will not work apparently because the heat expands it and the door suddenly can t close shut. This happened to me on my first day of move in. I was so upset that I wanted to break the lease 5 minute after signing it. But guess what apparently slamming the door from the outside helps but I can t do that always. I am referring to the outdoor facing door for their work live loft type apartment.

3. When I moved in on a Saturday, the apartment was left in a mess and the Gorham regional manager Kelly promised to fix everything. But come Monday which is today, the apartment manager Dana was somewhat condescending and brush off my comments. What she did was assemble a crew of 2 people with no experience who ended up scratching the cook top and sink rather than fix the grease on them.

4. I imagine this property because of poor care will get worse and worse. So if you want to rent this place for whatever reasons do yourself a favor and inspect the apartment carefully before renting and you must be able to live with no property manager on site or a property manager who constantly brushes off your concern

New MGMT at The Brittany. Never rent here, or from Gorman. Black mold, sparse(if any) office hours, no return calls for maintenance. 7 weeks to repair a ceiling fan that burnt out due to incorrect wiring. Multiple requests bc apparently I have time to waste chasing them down. 2 fires, no repair ( painting, cleaning)for smoke damage. Drug busts, police activity a normal, almost daily occurrence. I could go on and on. This is the epitomy of slum lord.

Avalon in Madison doesn't seem to be able to take out the trash, and keeps raising the rent. What do they do here? Why should we pay more? I'd move, but there's a pandemic. Lame place, and just lots of excuses.

Call the better business bureau on this company. THEY NEVER FIXED ANYTHING ONCE IN THIS COMPLEX OVER THE FIVE YEARS WE RENTED. Raises rent 150 dollars, after running a story in Racine Journal times about how they are not going to raise rent. They charged us for all the repairs they should have done over the last 5 years we rented form them. They lie, cheap, steal your money and get away with it with no repercussions at all. Sad the courts protect these people from legal action. One day all they Illegal activity will catch up to them and will fail miserably.

If I could give 0 starts I would. We currently live at rolling Prairie apartments. We went 2 months with out light bulbs in out living room until I bought my own even though they are supposed to provide them for us. We also go with out hot water for a week or two at a time because the water heaters are always breaking and to get them to fix it we have to get our neighbors to check there water and call too. They advertised in Chicago so the people who live here now cause problems and deal drugs. I don't feel safe living here anymore especially with 2 kids and one on the way. I know some of my neighbors carry guns I have seen them. Don't rent from these people.

Gorman did a great job on the new Embassy Suites b...

Gorman did a great job on the new Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in Rockford. It highlights perfectly a beautiful area in Rockford s west side of the Rock River from the State of Illinois building to the recently renovated pedestrian bridge south of the Fordham Dam. Thank you Larry Morrissey, Gary Gorman, and Gorman & Company for your vision - wonderful job!

So many issues. Rude management and terrible respo...

So many issues. Rude management and terrible response time for maintinence issues - even public hazards. Be prepared to harass and call daily to get them to do anything. We even had to withhold rent to get pur dryer fixed. Can't wait to move out.

Don't bother having a maintenance issue after Noon...

Don't bother having a maintenance issue after Noon at Prentice Park in Madison, and don't expect Gorman to have your back either. Their office hours are a farce. They come and go as they please, if ever to return at all. I had a living room heater go out at 3 PM on a Thursday in 0 degree weather and couldn't get a hold of a soul in the office (that claims they close at 5). When I called Gorman Corporate direct about an hour later, I was told to call their after hours emergency maintenance staff (again, they allegedly close the normal office at 5). When someone from the after hours staff finally got a hold of me at 6 PM, I was told they wouldn't be coming out to fix the heater, but provide a space heater, bringing a new and interesting twist to the word "maintenance." They then inquired whether my situation was life threatening, which I said "no, the base board heaters are still working in the bedrooms." I was then told that the "maintenance" person wouldn't bring the space heater, and to crank my base boards in the bedrooms to full blast to compensate for the lack of heat in the living room, and that someone would come look at it tomorrow. Keep in mind heat and electricity are NOT included in the rent! When I asked if he could still bring the space heater because it is QUITE cold in here, I was then told I would be charged for his time to come out, not Gorman!!! If you're thinking of renting Gorman, make SURE you bring your cash (lord knows you need it!!), but make sure to leave any expectations of anyone giving a damn about you at your last residence!!!

Staff are rude, Property Managers are nice, but they don't help you when it matters. I was a resident and was being harassed by a neighbor and they didn't do squat to help me out. I finally just terminated my lease and left. I wouldn't recommend
