This is not your modern-day furniture store. Don't expect to be strolling into a living version of Dwell Magazine or Design Within Reach. That said, I am a little enamored with this space. It's this hidden gem in the heart of part of Portland's busiest (traffic wise, at least) area. An incredible lofty, industrial feeling space... A great place to browse for truly unique furniture and home-decor items. Seemingly, most of these items have been refurbished from worn down condition.

There's something magical about wandering the treasures in the Good Mod. When the day comes that I have a true home to furnish (goodbye IKEA), they'll be on my list for exploring.

If you are looking for the most hipster furniture ...

If you are looking for the most hipster furniture shop in Portland you can look no further. Finding this shop is half the fun, but once you get there you will see the sketchy elevator or the 4 flights of stairs are worth it. The huge selection of mid century furniture and other awesomeness is not often seen. The prices are steep but fair for what they are selling. It's always fun to stop in and see what they are selling.

Absolutely fantastic collection of mid-century and danish's pieces. Spencer was beyond helpful. The space is so beautiful. The overall experience from walking into the space to walking out with two new pieces was definitely worth all five stars.

Incredible showroom featuring stunning designs both new and old. Pieces are designed in house, restored, or from known designers.

Hard to find but absolutely worth the visit. Entrance is a small door on Burnside next to Everyday Music. Head down the hall and up the small, old elevator.

If you're looking for overpriced furniture made of plywood and MDF look no further! This place will charge way over market standard AND THEN take an extra month to finish the project. The only people who buy furniture here are the ones who can afford to spend thousands on something you can get at Ikea for $100. Don't shop here.
