My favorite place to grab a bite in Downtown Harrisonburg. The service is always wonderful and the food is never not spectacular. Great place for families. The men's room even has a changing station!
Adore the outsiders theme, great spot in Harrisonburg any weekend night
My favorite local place. Interesting menu items, amazing ranch dressing, cool accessible vibe, and awesome music venue.
A total of 11 people in the restaurant. It took 45 minutes to get our dinner and it was all burnt.
To make matters worse the waitress said the reason it took so long to get our food because both tables came in at the same time. They serve pizza, hamburgers and sandwiches it should take 15 minutes tops to get food. Kids running restaurants is a great to go out of business. I'll give it 6 months. I have never cared for reviews but if you want to throw money away I would suggest this restaurant.
Great food, homey community vibe, great music downstairs.
One of out FAVORITE places to go for brunch or for drinks...sometimes both! Paul has really made a place where everyone is welcome, and I hope he continues to pursue his goals of improving our downtown! We need more people like Paul!
I can not say enough nice things about The Golden Pony! Their pizza is the best in town and the staff and owners are wonderful people. Late at night, after closing, I found myself in front of their establishment in an unsafe situation. (I am a woman writing this review on my husband's account) The staff as well as the owner jumped to my aid without a second of hesitation. They handled the situation with class and professionalism, it was a great change from the bad attitude and lack of compassion you become accustom to finding in a college town. I can not thank them enough for their help and I look forward to spending more time at The Golden Pony while exploring their menu!
Had a great time catching up with friends on the patio! Rob is a great bartender and the owner, Paul, is super friendly.
This place is really cool! Treat live entertainment very well too
Weird menu, inexperienced staff, but good location... no competition for location
Really good food, but the last time we were here the place was empty and we still had awful service
Well I had some decent expectations for this place and I was well kinda bummed out. I'll start off with what I didnt dislike. Tha king burger was orginal and different. I'd give it a 5.6 out of 10, probably never get it again but I would reccomend it just to try. The restaurant/bar portion of the place was nice and decently clean. It had a grungey abstract feel. The venue space was my favorite part. It reminded me a lot of the venues from where I'm from that got shut down. On the downslope, the service wasn't great. Took us 10 minutes to just get noticed. They then moved us and it took even longer to get some menus. Everyone seemed to be in a rush but also in a rush to do not much of anything. It wasn't outrageously busy. They were setting up for some DJ but security took care of that so idk what had all the waiter staff held up. The meal was decent but then it took another 15 minutes when we were done for the waitress to bring us our check and we missed part of the set downstairs because of it. Overall kind of a bummer. I really like the idea of the bar. The outsiders holds a deep seat in my heart and I was excited to check out someone's vision for a place based from it. Was stoked to even get some merch. But again I wasn't much of a priority. Maybe change the name to The Bronze Pony. Dont do it for johnny. Do it based on the performance of the restaurant. Stay woke, pony.
One of my preferred watering holes. I cannot speak for the food, but the bar service is always superb.
This is one of the most underrated places in Harrisonburg. Their menu items are delicious and very creative. So many veg options (except no non-dairy creamer for coffee, boo). Get the Bruce Leroy, Breakfast Burrito, Nachos or Cauliflower bites. Delish!
This restaurant never disappoints when I am in Harrisonburg.
The food was good and the drinks amazing. It was a great themed restaurant without being over the top.
Its a local Bar/ hangout on the Weekends.
I went in, sat down ordered a sandwich.. food was okay. There are Electric Games in the Corner to play if bored, a dance floor and Live music on the Weekends.
Must be 21 to get in.
Cool atmosphere, great shows, and cool decor. This place is a solid choice for picking up a local brew. Littered with mustached hipsters who just want to make your day a little bit better. Usually the last place to turn out the lights in Harrisonburg.
The Pony's appetizers are an unbeatable value during happy hour. We have really enjoyed taking our kids there three times now. We hope they don't fix the pinball machine that gives free games.
Food is always great. Atmosphere is chill. Drinks are great. And don't miss brunch, off the charts.
Don t eat breakfast here... just ate a $7 waffle that looks like it was prepared by my 8 year old... actually his probably would ve at least came out in a round shape.
Best hangout spot in Downtown Harrisonburg! If you haven't had the wings with Pony sauce, you haven't lived yet.
