An excellent pub restaurant. The starter was very tasty and the portion was generous. Our duck ala orange was perfectly cooked and presented on a flavorful bed of fed cabbage. The daughinois potatoes were delicious served in a hot side dish.
Wine and beer were of the best standard

Excellent landlady and landlord. Lovely food. Definitely recommend for good quality well cooked "gastro" type food. Not overly pricey either. Oh and good ales and spirit / wine selection.

Just passing. Looking for somewhere for a nice lunch and lucked in with the Fur and Feathers. A pub reimagined. Nice atmosphere, nice decor. Really good food. Had ham, egg and chips for lunch, simple but so good and the best I ve had. Good ingredients well cooked and presented. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely visit again.

Always nice. Didn't eat last night, but if im looking for a special little pub out the way with great food and service, this has to be hovering round the top. Updated.. returned yesterday with a friend. Fantastic food! Really nice to see proper service in a country pub. All of the Team really friendly. I don't give out 5 stars very often, these guys deserve it. Looks like I'll be spending some more time here. Thanks again.

Cozy old style family run English pub in the countryside, 10 minutes drive from Basingstoke city center. Food is good (not sure if menu rotates seasonably) and reasonably priced. Drink list is a big thumbs up with an impressive selection of gins.

Decided to book a table and dine out Christmas Day! Party of 5 we turned up at about 1230 had a round of drinks and canapes at the bar which were delicious. Sat at our table circa 1.15 for the remaining 6 courses. Peter, Fran and their staff gave us an amazing experience. We were not the only diners but it felt like we were. The time flew by and before we knew it it was 5 o'clock and we were finishing off tea/ coffee and home made mince pies.
The food was delicious. Thanks to Peter, Fran and their staff for a lovely day.

Excellent place. You're getting what you pay for (prices are a touch high). No baby changing is a factor for families but website warned us of that so can't fault them there. All round lovely.

Loverly little country boozer. Really friendly staff and patrons. They have a very comprehensive menu of home cooked food, coupled with a large selection of real ales and cask larger. I didn't get a chance to try any food but I definitely will on my next visit.

Friendly staff, good parking and lovely interior. A group of us went in at lunchtime, we had a filled baguette each apart from one of the group who had a ploughman's. Quite expensive for what we had, but pleasant experience.

What a lovely pub. But it's so much more...I was very fortunate to be taken there for lunch by my aunt. Super friendly service, amazingly good food (I recommend the duck)and as a gin lover was able to taste a locally sourced gin, amongst a vast array on offer. One of the best gourmet pubs I've ever had the pleasure to visit. Thank you very much.

Food is excellent, piping hot and generous portions. A little on the rich side for me but very moorish. 1st time to visit with present owners who have turned this place into a very nice place to visit. Has a wine list that has to have been put together by a wine lover.

Superb.

Superb.
We visited as a group and were totally amazed by the food on offer.
A wide and varied menu and everything served was great

Food was delicious !

Food was delicious !

Service however was terrible and lets the dining experience down. Waitresses were moody and provided a simple service not very attentive. Cutlery for mains and dessert had to be asked for twice.

Food took 50mins to arrive (we only ordered mains) table of 4 walked in after and had their mains before us.

Such a shame as we come here a lot.

Bill was paid and I had to ask for my change!

An excellent evening spent at The Fur and Feathers. Ranging from de-alcoholised drinks, great wine selection and an excellent three course dinner. Was there for a work team meal out. Service was excellent. Atmosphere great. Can only think of good things to say about our experience at gastro pub The Fur and Feathers! Go if you have an opportunity!

We went for a drive out and came across this absolute gem of a find!!! The staff were lovely, log fire was on and the place was busy for 1300 on a Tuesday. Great selection of gins and wines, good beer on tap along with your normal lagers. The food I must say was hard to choose from, in the end we went with burgers and they were amazing!!

Visited as part of a group of six people, just prior to Christmas. The food was excellent and very well cooked and presented. Staff were friendly and attentive even when busy with a almost full house. Good selection of drinks available with a selection of wines from local producers. Well worth a visit and we will definitely return for more.
