My 8 year-old daughter has been attending MWMA for 3 years; she began her Montessori education in kindergarten. Let s just put it this way: my daughter cries when she has to miss school. She genuinely loves MWMA that much. We chose this school because we wanted a student-directed learning program for our kids. At MWMA, grades 1-3 and 4-6 are mixed together in a classroom dividing them into lower and upper elementary classes. This allows students to have their teacher for 3 straight years and gives them early leadership opportunities. My daughter struggles with focusing, but with the help of her teacher and a solid work plan, has been finishing her work during school hours. This allows her to be a kid after school, and we don t have to have the homework power struggles most parents have. Ms. Melissa is incredibly involved and passionate about teaching her students. I have sat in while she teaches lessons to small groups and am impressed with her classroom management and teaching style. Also, I feel the principle and vice are helpful and committed to making MWMA a safe learning and growing environment. Bonus: Chef Rick has taught my daughter to love salads! My only complaint is that they need a part time elementary gym teacher so their teachers didn t have to implement physical activity in their busy schedules.

This school is the BOMB. But it has it's ups and downs, but every school has its pros and cons. I started as 7th grader here 3 years ago and now I am a 9th grader that loves school. CONSIDER THIS SCHOOL

This school is not that great of a school I was in the first group of 7th graders here. I failed every single class but that doesn t matter cause it only 9th grade and up that counts! The teachers were great except the math teacher and the CTE teacher! The Montessori method is very flawed! Capstone was a good idea helps the Children/Teens learn responsibility for their own project! Best lunches I ve ever had at any school Chef Rick is a great Person who actually cares about the people he makes the food for! Overall I d say good school if you want your kids to mess around for however many years and not get anything done! I d certainly never want to come back to this school! Bullying wasn t too much of a problem! Many of the teachers are pretty chill and relaxed! But they will ouch you if you need it, which was good! The P.E. Program was great, they covered all the basic to each game we played! The teacher would find a way to make it so we were all mixed together for teams! The office staff was always very helpful! The Librarian was wonderful and passionate about books! The principal was as well! I did make friends here that I will never forget! All the stupid decisions we made together! It was a fun time! Now I m off to the U.S. Military and headed for whatever life hits me with!

BEST SCHOOL EVER!!!! Honestly, my son has been going here for 3 years, and i can not sing them enough praise! Everyone is so kind, and loving! My son has a brain injury, and needs a lot of "extras". I have only seen them go above and beyond! I am so grateful my son was excepted here. I am so grateful they continue to exceed my expectations!

I have been going to this school for three years. It is pretty great, and the security has been updated ALOT. We had a fundraiser for new locks and security glass. The staff is all very nice and the teachers are great. The only thing wrong with this school is we have one janitor. He keeps the school clean but I just feel bad for him always doing so much work. They also have decent after school programs. But another problem is that the montessori system does not work for everyone. The teachers teach the normal methods to. But I have found that the montessori part does not help me. We also have good lunches. Overall it is a good school, but the elementary school needs a better P.E program.

Terrible school, if you love your children do not subject them to an amazing level of ineptitude, liberal thinking, bullying and lack of logical thinking. If your child has special needs, this most definitely is not the school for you. Their belief is that they can punish your child into conformity.

Good school, i am currently a 7th grader and have been here for almost 6 years. Something that i have noticed is that every year it seems to become less "montessori". These days it calling it a montessori school just seems like an advertisement method. But here are some examples of things that are still along the montessori method
- Dress code
-3 grade classroom
-work cycle
There are some more these are just some of the examples.

It seems like a lot of the things in the classrooms are just for show. Walk into any classroom, and you will see a bunch of items such as the the "long bead chains" or the "fractions" and to be honest, we almost never used any of it. Whenever there is a "lesson", We literally just took notes of what the teacher wrote on the board.

But even though it hardly is a montessori school, it is still a great school. But if you are looking specifically for very montessori school, this probably isnt the school for you.
But if your lax on what qualifies as montessori, and your just looking for a nice but free school, then this is a good school for you

also if you want any proof on what i meant earlier, look at old reviews compared to new ones.

The typical explanation for why later start times might increase academic achievement is that by starting school later, students will get more sleep. As students enter adolescence, hormonal changes make it difficult for them to compensate for early school start times by going to bed earlier.

watch out for the middle school math teacher

This school was amazing. I was there for a total of 5 years (4-8). this was prob one of my favorite schools i ve ever been to. they put together 4-6 graders in the same classes and the same with 7-9 graders, Which for me was a blessing because not only did it allow me to get comfortable around mostly everyone in my school but it also helped me get really close to most of my teachers. I ve made many great friends and tons of memories there and some times i wish i could go back. But like most things have to decide to like it in order to enjoy it, I've seen people who just right off the bat hate this school for no solid reason and therefore they are miserable for the remainder of the year. But i ve also seen people who are just happy to be there and want to have an amazing time have the best year of their life. i m not saying this school is for everyone but it sure helped me in countless ways. The school is pretty small which makes it hard to bully someone and get away with it which is also good. the food there is some of the best food i ve ever had, Chef Rick puts his heart and soul into his work and it shows. they have great activities that bring people together throughout the year including middle school camp which is the most fun i ve had at school. Overall it is just the most underrated school ever and i highly recommend it
