Whole ripe, succulent strawberries... Topped with pillowy light whipped cream with just a hint of sweetness... Encased in a flaky, buttery crust. I had never heard of strawberry cream pie until my cravings lead me to the Flying Saucer Pie Company. A friend and I trekked down to the pie shop to find it sitting in not such a great area, looking not much like a pie shop I would want to eat in. This happens to not be a problem because there are no tables, therefore you have to order your pie and take it with you anyway. As we entered, I found a plethora of homemade pies staring me in the face. After squealing and doing a little dance I proceeded to order 4 slices: strawberry cream, keylime, apple, and pecan, each at 2.50 a slice The strawberry cream pie made my eyes roll to the back of my head... I love that they use whole strawberries and, unlike many other pies, the fruit filling does go everywhere. Their pies are as they should be, all one entity, not a bunch of pieces that fall apart.

My only complaint is that I could tell they used normal lime in their keylime. Keylime should have a slight bitterness and it was a bit too sweet. Their pecan and apple pies were also a tad too sweet for me but I'm not huge on a lot of sugar in my dessert anyway. Otherwise, the crust is to die for and you can really taste the love in it (it's that taste that comes after the butter).

I know EVERYONE is mad for their pies..and they will do in a pinch but they are not as good as I remember. Maybe because it was during a holiday rush, because I have never had them during the holidays but I prefer to make from scratch.

Growing up in Houston, I regret not going to this iconic place sooner. I had a slice of the coconut cream pie. Next time I'm getting a whole one. It was a treat for being out in the miserably cold and rainy weather today.

I have been eating these pies since the almost presence of being a baby. These pies will make you go get a slice or two( strawberry cream). And then take one or two pies home. This cake almost hands down. Beats a foodgasm. If you catch my drift...Chef Ross Phillips ... Augusta Pines CC.

The pies are ALWAYS delicious and worth the wait!! Make sure to check their website around the holidays for the hours. Check out the FAQs so you know when to buy your pies and how long they'll last. They're very friendly and helpful- both in person and on the phone!

I have never bought pie from this place. A Very year during Thanksgiving, I watched as people line up around the block trying to buy some pie. I finally went there and bought a few pies. I bought the pecan pie and the strawberry pie. Definitely I love the strawberry pie. I wished the pie is a little larger. Definitely recommended if you has bought pie from this place.

I went here because the place was came highly recommended however I was very disappointed in the quality of Pies they serve I think Kroger Signature pies are hands down better. I ordered a pecan pie it was lacking in pecans in my opinion and after half a slice I gave the rest away.

Today is National Pie day so I decided to treat my associates some pie. Since The Flying Saucer is not far from our business I decided to go. The pie is good but the customer service is not worth it. I purchased roughly $200.00 (13 pies) worth. Once the attendant received payment, all I got was "Thank you, have a great day....we have no bags." She did not offer to help with taking them to my vehicle. A customer that was 3rd in line decided step out to hold the door while I made several returns as to not damage the pies.

Next time, I would rather make the trip to the Galleria area to House of Pies since customer service is what I return for.

Whenever I see one of these iconic white boxes, I know I am in for a treat! The pies that come out of this little bakery are really good! My favorites are pecan, key lime, and peach. You will clearly not be disappointed with whatever you get. I do stay away from this place during holiday season as the line is out the door and around the block! (a slight exaggeration, but you get the point.
