Rented a flat for a year on Dundas Street. Whilst the forms and guarantees were a pain, Ryan Wallace was very helpful, quick to contact us if we had a problem, and happy to help.

Our experience with The Flat Company has been great. Out property manager was always quick to reply and maintence problems were solved very quickly. However, we believe our landlady was easy to contact for them which may be why our problems were fixed quickly.

Still a good company to rent from, speaking from experience of other places around Edinburgh.

I found Lauren from the Flat Co. very helpful and quick to respond. All of my requests were handled efficiently and I didn t need to worry about anything. Highly recommend.

I was a Flat Company tenant for 2 years and they were always really helpful and extremely responsive. I have rented with lots of other agents in Edinburgh but The Flat Company were the most responsive and helpful throughout our tenancy. They also reacted very quickly whenever there were issues in the property.

Had a good experience on the whole renting from The Flat Company. We received regular communication from Lauren who was always professional and responded quickly to any queries we had. My only criticism was that we called the emergency contact number at one stage having locked ourselves out of the property and did not receive a response. It turned out that we had coincidentally left a set of keys in the car, so we managed to get in, however, a courtesy follow up call would have been nice.

Once again the Flat Company came up trumps - flat rented within days and Ryan Wallace was very efficient in securing a tenant. Many thanks

As a landlord, I have been extremely impressed with the Flat Company over the past 12 months, especially my property manager, Jess. Her council and guidance during the pandemic have been exceptional. I would highly recommend any landlord, or tenant, to use the Flat Company.

The Flat Company has provided us with an excellent service throughout the year we have been with them. In Particular, Elona has done an excellent job at making our stay very enjoyable and trouble-free! Moreover, whenever we have had a maintenance issue or a query of some sort it has been dealt with speedily and to highly professional standard. I would happily recommend people to use this letting agency as it has been the best one our flat has come across!

Excellent experience as tenant. Efficient, quick and responsive to our requests for further help. Recently, we signed on for another year and tentatively suggested that a dishwasher would help us maintain the clean and hygienic environment that we desired. It is due to be installed in the next two weeks.

I rented with the Flat Company for 5 1/2 years.

It was a really good experience, and in fact the best I've had. When things went wrong, they were fixed quickly. It was easy to notify them when things did go wrong, and the people that carried out the work were great.

In terms of dealing with people over rent, inspections and so on, all of them were really nice. They gave good notice of when they were coming round, more than they had to, and are just a good bunch of people. The rent I paid was also way, way more than reasonable.

I'm extremely happy with them.

I have been a tenant on a property that TFC managed for over four years and only had to leave the guys because the owner requested the property for private use. to I can only think of one time that I was unhappy with them and that was over a misunderstanding between me/agency/owner over when the property was to be refurbed/painted. However, even during this, TFC had chosen professionals who did an immaculate job in a couple of days, respecting the tenants as a priority. In any case TFC have been great, always helpful and friendly folk, true professionals and happy to assist the tenant. Thumbs up for me guys! Well done!

From our viewing with Jessica Jamieson from The Flat Company, we have experienced a professional transition into our new flat. Being first time renters, this was a big leap for us, however our property manager Jessica, has been helpful throughout the process (from finding the flat to settling in ). She has been responsive to any problems we have had and helped us in finding the correct solution. My partner and I would highly recommend The Flat Company and specifically Jessica for people looking for a property.

We've had nothing but positive experiences with the Flat Company, as tenants in a lovely flat.

We had a tricky situation getting into the flat to start off with, due to the fact that I had rented privately before, but spent 2 years back-packing and my husband is from Australia so had no references over here that they could accept (fair enough). We were both temping at the time as we had been in Edinburgh only for a couple of months, so didn't have the right amounts of income to guarantee it. The Flat Company helped us out with working out an increased deposit and guarantors from my parents (retired, which made it more tricky!).

They set up all the relevant details for our council tax, electric and gas so we didn't have to contact the council or the energy companies at all.

If we've ever had any issues in the flat since then, they've sorted it or sent out the works request within 24 hours of us asking. Thorough inspections and all round nice people to deal with. Our agent is Ryan Wallace who is extremely efficient and responds to emails within the same working day. Regular PAT testing, smoke alarm testing and usually 7-10 days notice before performing an inspection.

Maybe this review might change when we eventually come to move out with getting deposits back, who knows about future...however up to now we've had not once had any issues. They have been significantly better and more pleasant to deal with than some of the other horror stories I've heard about other letting agencies in Edinburgh. Happy tenants!

I've been working with Megan for a few months now and have to say it's been great :) Really refreshing to be able to talk things through with someone who understands and appreciates the problems in owning a let flat.

We've talked many, many times (sorry Megan), ran through various update and upgrade options, she has arranged for quotes to be sent and worked with me every step of the way, which during covid, has been a godsend as it's a difficult time

When someone put in notice to leave she marketed my flat really well and advised me on tenant options etc and I only have 9 days down time - can't thank her enough as I was starting to panic !
