Came here Sat lunchtime to celebrate my daughter's birthday. There were 8 adults & 4 children. The staff were attentive,friendly & efficient.Food was really good & served on plates that were hot!A big thing for me! Good choice of menu for both food & wine. Would recommend

The food was really nice and the early bird menu is very good value. The kids meals are just the right size for toddlers or kids just started school. Older kids will probably need an adult menu.

Really good food and very lively for a Tuesday evening.

Enjoyed an "off the cuff" trip to restaurant when our previous plans were unexpectedly changed and we managed to get a last minute table.

We've visited previously and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere and it was good to find, obvious changes aside, the experience was as pleasant as always.

The staff worked hard, the venue was full, but the food came quickly and was hugely enjoyable (the sticky chicken starter particularly!) and while it was supposedly a reduced menu, it seemed pretty comprehensive to me.

The only note, don't turn up too early as they currently don't have an indoor waiting area because of current restrictions.

Excellent food with a wide selection, good cocktails but the best thing was the staff. They were so welcoming and friendly it really made the meal a special experience.

A really nice place to eat. The food is lovely, the decor is really nice and the service is always very professional. They also have a really good dinner menu which is very well priced.

Had a really good meal at the Fat Italian last week. Good and atmosphere were excellent. Can't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons. Firstly the music was uncomfortably loud (and not particularly good). Second there were no baby changing facilities so we had to do it on the floor next to the table which seemed to annoy the staff. I am not sure what you expect people to do if you don't provide facilities.

Best lasagne I've ever had and the chicken ceaser salad was lush

Possibly the worst meal I have ever had out. The manager had a terrible attitude, and after serving abysmal starters and mains (that we told him were awful), he told us he had taken it off the bill with a smirk like he was doing us a favour when we had only had 1 bite because it was that bad. His apology and justification for the poor meal was he knows the food is made fresh. The apology was forced and it took 35 minutes to bring us the bill. Wouldn t go back if you paid us. Hate leaving bad reviews but honestly the food in McDonald s is better as is the service. Simply disgusting.

Wow what and incredible experience just walking in you feel welcome and your custom is greatly appreciated how the place looks inside makes you feel like you in another country the staff are all so nice and you can see there more of a family than work colleagues and everything about the food is perfect by time you finish your dessert you want to eat everything all over again I couldn t put a fault with the fat Italian definitely the best place I ve ever eaten

We had a table booked at our local Crosby branch, for our anniversary. Due to this dreaded COVID 19, it closed the day our table was booked. Not a problem as the lovely fabulous and super professional Scott booked us in, in his Ormskirk branch. It did not disappoint. Beautiful specials and our favourite tornedos rossini was cooked to perfection. The staff just fabulous, friendly and attentive. A absolute credit to the business. We have ate in many restaurants and have yet to find one to beat the fat Italian . Please do not take a lasagne eater as a serious reviewer, because please , it s lasagne. However if you do eat off the specials or any of the usual favourites ( mentioned it already however the rossini is particularly stunning) you will not be disappointed.

Great food. Just some yelling kid soured my evening.

We booked for a table of 5, the wait time was really good. We ordered 2 courses from the al a Carte and specials menu. The food was delicious, there was a large selection on the menu and our party opted for many different meals both from the specials menu and main. my husband opted for the t bone steak served with fries, peppercorn sauce, and mushrooms and onion rings, all cooked perfectly and I opted for salt and pepper calamari and the ox cheek for main, it was beautiful. My son ordered cajun chicken pasta which he said was best he had tasted. All in all We had a lovely meal and thought service was great. We will definitely go back again.

Early evening menu offers good selection on menu and competitively priced.

Terrible experience. We hadn't booked we walked in of the street my wife two kids and I were allocated a table right by the front door which kept opening and closing so I got really cold the Italian waiter who first saw to us was really rude and very arrogant he made us feel very uncomfortable so much so that we didn't stay very long less than an hour will never eat there again .

In spite of being full, and I not making a reservation, Fat Italian did a commendable job of accommodating me and my family. The service was excellent, all the staff were amazingly nice and friendly. Ultimately its was the food that we came for and this did not disappoint, really well presented, incredibly fresh tasting and greatly enjoyed. To top it all prices are very reasonable. Really nice restaurant that we will be making the effort to visit again.

The food was good can recommend the calamari but a friend got the prawn cocktail and felt there was a lot more lettuce than prawns. I really enjoyed my diablo pizza it was delicious, shame there was no beers on draught only bottles. It a lovely location with lots of interesting wall art a friendly atmosphere will definitely be returning.
