We had a wonderful waitress. The food was amazing! Gave us the at home cooked feel. Highly recommend them

This is the first restaurant I stopped into in town. I was delighted with the lively conversations and friendly waitresses. The menu seems to have something for any craving, and the food really sticks to your ribs. I'd definitely recommend the family inn for anyone passing through.

Came here for breakfast at noon. The pancakes were great. Trird an omlette also which was pretty good. Coffee was good too.

Great food. Everything was cleaned between visitors - right down having separate holders for pens at checkout, one for "used" one for "unused".

Been there twice. First time was all good about a year ago. Based on that we went again. Vege omelette came with ham, not good. Scrambled eggs were as much white as yellow and had no fluff but lots of grease. They are cooked on the grill then chopped with the edge of the spatula. I did not eat them. Bacon was cooked to a rawhide strip. The whole breakfast looked very unappetizing. When I was told that's how we make our eggs I said OK No problem I will keep that in mind but they look terrible. I didn't ask for any money off. The waitress was a tad surly but when she thought she might not get a good tip her mood improved and she took 25% off our bill. Coffee is bad but the place seemed clean. I would be embarrassed and ashamed to cook that food, serve that food and be responsible for those that did

Food went way down hill, still good for a family dinner I suppose.. But not what the food was, even a month ago sadly

Stopped in on a Sunday morning while passing through town. Place was clean, service was excellent, portion sizes were VERY generous and the food quality was fantastic! I highly recommend the stuffed french toast with caramel and my wife could only finish about a 1/3 of their amazing blueberry pancakes. We will definitely be making The Family Inn our regular stop when going through Escanaba. Much better than Perkins.

Friendly staff and good food. The burger was good, I love a burger with good bacon on it and the fries were excellent. Based on looking at what other people around me ordered, I should have got the fish. It looked very good.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Escanaba. We love the menu and the waitresses.

Been there for lunch 2 times and was very good, my husband is not a restaurant type for it's too hard to maneuver his walker but we both had he had fish and chips and the all-you-can-eat salad bar and I had the fish special with the salad bar and he couldn't get to the salad bar but everything was very delicious he was he really enjoyed it

The service at the Family Inn was outstanding. I talked with a waitress for what I thought was going to be a few minutes but after she was done with her shift she talked with me for almost two hours. I'm very interested in moving to the area and working at this restaurant.

Just got done eating with the family and must say it was good to stop in and try the family inn.

We love this place. We stop here everytime we come up to the UP. The food is really good and you get alot for the price. Was disappointed this time because they didn't have the salad bar. They had the best tuna noodle on it.

Huge portions of home style cooking. Awesome pies and soup selection

Comfy place, warm. BLT bacon was overdone and I think the bread was stale. My soup was so salty I couldn't eat it, and when I told the waitress about the soup, she said she'd tell the cook, but no offer to take it off my bill.

if your website says you deliver and I called and confirmed that you deliver you should honor your delivery policy very disappointed and I will never find out how good the food is.
After a long day of travel we just didn't want to go out to eat and didn't feel like pizza.

A little pricey it's $9.00 for biscuits and gravy holy cow. Large portions for the most part good food and quiet

We walked in on a Saturday about 3 pm driving through went and seated ourselves waited for 5 or 10 minutes and no one came and brought us menus or drinks so got up and walked out called talked to mgr very apogetic but will not stop there again if we travel that way again.

Great food great service been going there for about eight years voice a year and we come up from Florida to visit people and we make sure we stopped in there

This place is exactly what you expect form local diner, sticky tables, dirty floor, happy fat chicks, friendly faces, lack of service, and carb loading central! This may be Escabona s favorite local diner, definitely not mine.

The scrambled eggs had eggshells in them but served as an added bonus for what was to come... bacon that was so undercooked, Kevin Bacon couldn t even save them... the pancakes were something out of a horror movie. They are dry like the Sierra desert, and crumble into a million pieces like the rubble from the Silverdome s implosion. The only way to contain the massive mess it to bless the god forsaken cakes from hell with a holy dose of high fructose corn syrup... aka the mystery syrup bottle on the table. My nightmare came true once I realized too late I began suffering form diabetic ketoacidosis. My breath smelled like an entire pack of juicy fruit as I had enfough and threw in the towel as I asked for my check.

The only saving grace was the coffee that was served only once, no refills, nothing. Oh an the explosive diarrhea that was brought on for a continuous 5 hours made my 10 hour drive home a roadrip from hell! Only a lumberjack with giant balls could eat at this diner. I would definitely go back for the coffee! That shiz was great!

Wonderful food! This was our second visit here during trips to the UP and haven't been disappointed with the food or the service!

We had turkey dinner here the day before Thanksgiving. It was good and enough to have leftovers while we watched football on TG.

Homemade soup was delicious! Always has many cars in parking lot at meal times. Restaurant full during week day lunch times! Fast, courteous service.

Steak was not cooked properly and eggs were not scrambled. Just fried hard and laid on top of unbrowned hashbrowns.

The broasted chicken is the best and large portions. For the money it is the best place to eat in the Escanaba area.
