Came in for a growler fill which they offer for the handful of regional beers they offer. The space looked nice and they have an outdoor seating area. I did not stay to eat though. The service was friendly.
B.E.L.T. breakfast sandwich with avocado was FIRE! We will stop here again next time we're in the city!
Everything you need if quality is your goal. Nice staff, too.
Best part about Glen's Garden Market is the $4.00 beer selection. Come in anytime before they close -- at 10 PM, I believe -- and hook yourself up with a great craft beer. Moving past the beer, we can talk about the cafe -- lots of pleasant selections here. People rave about the half-chicken combo, but I could take it or leave it. Now we're on to the groceries. I can't afford shopping here on a regular basis, but I do rely on Glen's for the occasional host gift when going to a party. Close to the house, full of snazzy gifts. Service is hip and friendly.
They sell a lot of things that upper class white Americans enjoy such as craft beer, wine, and European cheeses. Great atmosphere.
Glen's Garden Market is fantastic place to come to there's a outside caffey where you can sit down and have your coffee breakfast they also have a inside bar they also have a lunch too the produce is good they have a nice selection beer and wine very good market place to shopp at.
They have some great food for a quick bite in store as well as a good local draft list that is always $4. I also enjoy that all of their products are within the watershed! This year I am starting the CSA and have enjoyed the selection thus far. I also have a friend in the growler club that really enjoys it as well! Definitely recommended
The products and foods here are really great. they have variety of menus. I''ll keep on coming back here. Recommended.
Glen s is a bit pricy but carries great products. The multi-sale lunch for $10 is delicious. THeir sandwiches and pizzas take forever so don t come if you re in a hurry. Taco Tuesday (3 tacos for $6) has gotten smaller but is still delicious.
My lovely daughter took me to this quaint market on my visit from Minnesota. It had everything in it you would find in a food coop packed into a rustic space. The deli food options were great and I loved the rest of the store from unique fresh items to local frozen delights.
Amazing artisanal sandwiches and great wines! Cool hangout
The sandwiches and pizzas here are very good and the market area is full of healthy options. The salads always look like a good option but I never quite love them the way I want to.
Organic grocery, coffee bar, mini-restaurant, and beer/wine bar. Outdoor picnic bench seating, dog friendly, and microbrews on tap. Serves some hot food from the deli in the back.
Great local market with local beers on tap and a great fresh food counter. I've found great local products here. They also have a super cute outdoor patio.
The hidden gem of Dupont. I used to live across the street from this place so I'm biased. They say all the produce and groceries are in some part watered by the Chesapeake watershed, but there are definitely some items that just normal brands. Although this place is expensive for groceries, the beer is cheap and a great selection. The quality of everything is amazing. Be wary of how busy it is at happy hour, but their beers are $5 for a local craft all the time, so it doesn't even make sense to go at that time! Glen's is best at 8 PM on a Thursday night drinking beer on their outside patio when you don't have to work the next day.
More expensive than it is good -- although it's very good!
Great service. Nice beer selection. Decent food--pizza, hot dogs, hot and cold sandwiches. And an outdoor area.
First off -- it's $4 beers every day, every beer, no matter what. That cannot be stressed enough. They also recently expanded their outdoor patio (and allow dogs). I wouldn't do my day to day grocery shopping here, but this is where to get growler fills, vegetables, and premade meals/sandwiches in the back of the store. A great place to support/eat local!
This market is incredible! It's a little pricey, but you won't be disappointed with the quality of items or the selection.
Good market!!!Nice grocery store, you can buy grocery item under one roof.Affordable price, Neat and clean place, great atmosphere, helpful staff. definitely will go back again.
Nice little market/mini-grocery with prepared/packaged foods and deli items. Got a yummy pizza and pasta salad at deli. Pricey but good. Friendly employees. Bring a bag or pay small fee for a canvas one.
Glen's Market is amazing!!!! Came across this gem - An assortment of local items, from food to beer. Check out there deli for a wide selection of cuts.
Great place to get a local beer on tap and seat outside.
I wouldn't ever go here again. It took 22 minutes to get my food. I asked the lady and she said that's about how long it usually takes. I don't know about you but I don't have 22 minutes to sit and wait for very mediocre food on my 30 minute lunch break. Would not recommend.
Terrific place with local food and brews. $4 for any draft pour!
Long waits for breakfast and coffee, super over priced. Still, neet place.
I wish so badly I lived in the building above Glen's because I'd be in there everyday. I don't know if it was the smell, the delightful homey feel, or the carefully curated selection of novelty foods, but when I walked in, I was a little overwhelmed by feelings of bliss. Plus, they also have a coffee bar, wine and beer bar, deli, and a large patio I can't wait to visit this summer.
Such great local stuff. There was lots of options but the store wasn't overcrowded with items.
Love this neighborhood gem. Quality and fresh food. Check it out! The meatball sub is delicious.
Their sweet kale is to die for this is not an exaggeration
LOVE the local shopping concept and LOVE bringing my COMPOST here (frozen in a paper baggie)! I really want to love this place more but there are two huge issues for me. On the weekends, the selection of produce has been sub-average. Many items were moldy, too dry, or old. Second, I bought the Cherry Glen marinated goat cheese balls twice. The first time, they were fantastic! The second time, the goat cheese was over-ripe and the flavor was way too sharp and inedible. I tried saving them in several creative recipes. They were ultimately inedible and I tolerated as much as I could eat, but threw away a lot of this expensive ($15) product!! Today I saw the last two jars on sale and they looked a bit pink, implying they are probably over ripe!
We always get our holiday dinner side dishes here: turkey gravy, Brussels sprouts Caesar, sausage sage stuffing, roasted potatoes! Delish!
Great community grocery market. The bar is a great place to go with friends on Friday after work.
Fabulous natural food market, deli, coffee shop and craft bar rolled into 1. The millennial market of the future.
Friendly staff, cool gourmet finds, yummy prepared food (Kale salad!!!), and a great growler program.
Excellent high-quality, fresh, healthy, quick-service food! Gluten free (gf), vegan and vegetarian items are clearly marked, and they offer gluten free bread that is very tasty (a rarity)! They have grab-and-go, made-to-order deli (hot/cold), a mini organic grocery store and then a cafe with beer, cider, coffee and some tea. Plenty of comfortable seating and is suitable for laptop use!
There were so many fresh food options. the grocery part of the store was loaded with vegan, glutenfree, organic things and more. i got the $10 4 salads deal and it was delicious. I got the soba noodle, the farro, the kale salad, and the mushroom salad. I would definitwlt recommend to anyone who enjoys a whole foods diet
Loved the beers over there, Hopback was my favorite. Everything there is organic, and pricy besides beer. but really loved the place.
Best local market in DC. Sandwiches and pizza are delicious and affordable. $4 pints of beer. Artisanal groceries from local suppliers. Great place.
Wonderful salad bar and sandwich selection, delightful staff, can't recommend enough
I thought they were black owned but they r not. But the store was nice.
Employees were incredibly rude, and the prices are outrageous.
Hipster paradise. Good food and produce put expensive.
Helpful friendly staff. Good selection of good food.
Very good quality pre-made food, drink, and specialty items. But do watch your wallet, it is EXPENSIVE. Even for what it is.
Have to try the grilled cheese with bacon!! Amazing!
$4 local draft beers all the time in DC? Yes please and thank you.
stop by regularly for dinner. while the groceries can have a premium, the food bar and beer bar are great deals. +the half chicken combo is hard to beat.
It s so crowded, no one goes there anymore. Cool, hipster, crowded.
Always on point. Great vegan options. Pricey but worth it most of the time.
Great selection of local craft beers and food. People are really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend
Love this place. You can pick up some groceries or stop by the food bar or order sandwiches or pizza or a salad to eat in or to go.
Love the people who work here. They are all always friendly to everyone. I've heard their food is great but I've never tried it. There selection is decent but do watch the pricing. Some items can get a bit pricy in comparison to other local stores that offer the same thing.
Excellent selection of fresh eats. I will be back next time I'm in DC.
Great fresh food, good beers on tap. Outside seating is wonderful.
Glen's is a great neighborhood spot. The Glen's chicken melt is my favorite sandwich in history. AND the beers only cost $4!
Grocery item prices are high, but I suppose that's what you get with a inner city specialty grocery. The craft beers on tap are always rotating, and always $4 !!!
Amazing! The concept, the prepared foods, the service: all top notch!
Pretty expensive food market. You can drink fresh beer right outside.
Game changer !!! - without a doubt life is better in our neighborhood thanks to Glens high quality food - someone finally gets food n drinks
I really appreciate the customer service and the food is awesome!..
Glen's Garden Market is a gem! Great, tasty food, drinks and groceries. Comfy indoor and outdoor seating. Incredibly locally sourced goods and sustainable (100% solar powered).
Great food and grocery. Also great for beer and wine. A little pricey, but that should be expected for this business model. One star off for multiple slow or unhelpful service situations.
Love pretty much everything about Glen's - especially the mission. Prices are no joke but to me it's worth it to pay more to support a business with an ethical vision.
I'm a Glen's super fan, especially the clubs. The CSA and Growler club can't be beat. Wonderful neighborhood gathering spot. And the $4 pints of craft brew are a nice bonus.
Love this place. I would give it 5 stars but I've called for information before and every time I've called store the staff on phone is never informed. This is a place where you should physically go. Great Craft Beer Selection and Prices
Glen's is always busy, as it should be. The deli selections are tasty, the beer is cheap and the variety is excellent.
These places, and more importantly this business model is awesome. Buy your freshly made food, grab a reasonably priced beverage and sit. It's a mini more appealing, Whole Foods where you can shop unique items and then hang out. This place is understandabley very popular. Great concept for the neighborhood. Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz
Wonderful gourmet food store with very helpful staff and hard to find products. If I lived in DC, I would shop here a lot.
A great place to have a beer and a slice of pizza. Chill and cheap.
Best concept and beautiful store with fresh local food. Great beer and wine bat with exceptional prepared foods. Thumbs up
A focus on locally sourced items and a living wage, plus cheap local beers on tap!
Specialty meats and cheeses, limited but high-quality fresh produce, local sweets and drinks. Glen's is great! They even butchered our Thanksgiving turkey for us. Street parking is limited, great if you're on foot. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great indoor market with locally sourced food and drinks. They fill growlers too! Only downside is that there's not quite enough shade for their outdoor seating. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could though, because it's really only a minor detraction from an otherwise awesome business.
one of my favorite spots to hang out. draft kombucha!
Lunch yesterday, all vegetarian. Breakfast today. Very good.
Great food, small portions and high prices though. Tried a pork sandwich on the advice of a friend and it was excellent, unfortunately it's very pricey for a small takeout sandwich.
