This place is full of cool stuff! Skeletons, trinkets, hand carved skulls, freeze-dried creatures, and other collectibles/decorations for weird people and science enthusiasts. I'm both and I loved it.

This place is neato! I'm a meathead, with a sprinkle of goth. My friend Trilogy bought me a trilobite fossil from here as well as some other great oddities!
A truly unique store selling fossils, minerals, skeletons, rocks, gems, and other geology/paleontology related artifacts. I've never bought anything here, but regularly stop by to check out the interesting collection of items - it's almost like a museum with all the boring parts removed. It's definitely worth stopping for a browse or pick up a gift you can't find anywhere else.
This is a fantastically interesting place. Although I can't imagine buying any of their larger products (snake skeletons, model human skeleton, etc.) they do have a lot of happy knick-knacks available that make fine souvenirs. Overall, it's a lovely store to visit.
From reading reviews as well as gauging the reactions of the customers in the store, this is among the more polarizing shops around. Anyone who has done any kind of research or read a tourist guidebook is aware they sell human skeletons (completely legal and displayed tastefully) as well as taxidermied animals and butterflies. So if that kind of thing isn't your cup of tea, why go?
From my perspective this was utterly fascinating and unique. I view nature as something interesting and worthy of study and admiration. All their specimens are expertly worked on and displayed. Prices may seem high, but the amount of skill needed to fully disassemble a lobster (for example) as a natural history museum quality piece is really difficult to come by.
For those not interested in the museum quality pieces, there are plenty of fossils, geological specimens, books, and educational pieces. Gloriously strange objects like cross-sections of mineral encrusted water pipes, Fordite, meteorites, and the like. Some more basic 'museum giftshop' pieces as well, but it helps ensure people without hundreds of dollars to spend can find something of interest as well.
If you're a bioanthro nerd like me, this place is heaven! They have a lot of knick knacks and giftable items and bigger, drool worthy stuff upstairs. It's a perfect place to get birthday gifts for your science enthusiast friends.
A very unique store allot of oddities in here. Be aware this place is stupid expensive. They were selling a lobster shell taken apart inside a glass case for somewhere around 3000$
This place is INSANE! Never seen a store like it. If you are one of those people that likes to collect bones, skeleton models, eyeballs, corpses, animal furs, stuffed life size animals, etc...well, this is your place. It was just insane walking in there to see what the store was all about. I thought it was some sort of Gothic clothing store at first. It's always a fun stop to go by when in the area.
It's my 9-year-old son's favorite place. There are a lot of fossils, models of human organs and systems, skeletons, minerals and dried insects. Plenty of things that will be interesting not only for kids, but for their parents.
Really great shop with such an eclectic collection of odd and neat things from shark teeth to meteorites, it's a world of weird, fun and evolutionary enjoyment
This place is really cool. If you're visiting NYC and you are in the area (or if you live in the area), it's worth dropping in and looking around. Lots of unique gift ideas also.
A must stop shop. Lots of trinkets and interesting items to peruse. Skulls, skeletons, bones, taxidermy, crystals, etc... informative staff. Interesting gift finds. I could easily spend an hour just looking.
An absolutely crazy shop. However, I ask myself the question of whether you can also introduce what you see there into Germany, because in my opinion some things are protected. But I like to be taught better.
Visiting from Texas. I am a collector of all things nature and biology, the weirder the better. I collect bones (and feathers and shells and fossils and vintage scientific illustrations etc. etc.) and this place is absolute heaven!!!
Amazing place filled with human skulls and ancient treasures. I would recommend an hour roaming around this beautiful collection of artifacts. Some affordable stuff too!
The place is very nice it has very interesting exhibitions and great items some are weird like the scorpion lollipop but it has pretty AMMAZING THINGS for you to see you have to see it for yourself
Bought a fruit bat. I know I over paid, but wanted the item anyway. Service was poor, check out girl didn't pay attention to me. This store is OVERPRICED in all items. Better to go on line and get same items for half price.
Pretty remarkable collection of skeletons, taxidermy, preserved specimens, and related art. Creepy, sure, but this place is respectful; more about marveling at anatomy and nature than grossing people out. Very high quality rare stuff, so not surprisingly everything is either very small or very expensive.
Very interesting. Many small objects for nature lovers :-) skulls, bones and reptiles in cans. Not to mention the amount of minerals (the meteorite fragments are fiction). To visit!
A collection of the bizarre, the unusual, the fantastic, all for sale. Great for gifts for people of all ages, especially for the weirder people you know.
A unique shop in New York! An incredible collection inside the shop where it will hardly leave indifferent even the indifferent !!! Its values are very reasonable compared to the uniqueness of its products. It is a great opportunity to get unique souvenirs or even to offer unique gifts. If you are near the area, you should definitely visit it even if you do not want to buy anything. You will understand it also from the photos !!!
Super fun to check out. Found a small alligator head for $20. Greatest gift ever for an animal loving nephew. Staff were reasonable for a pretty busy store, I thought.
Super cool store. Unique objects if you like the natural sciences. Even stuff like meteorite fragments, fossils. Fun to look around and always a place to pick up an unusual unique gift for someone or Yourself!!
A spider eclectic store that sells gem stone, fossils, animal bones and skins, to actually human bones. Your out of town friends will be super impressed if u take them here as a stop in your nyc sight seeing. A must see store with lots of instagram photo opportunity.
Curious store for those who like to make collections or some original gift. They range from meteorites to butterflies and stuffed insects. Amount of minerals and other curious things that will make you have a good time entertaining. Transferred from soho, in the current location they have a better exhibition of objects. More expensive than it might seem since they are valuable and sometimes unique objects
This place is still great however I feel like it was more interesting when it was down on prince street. Strictly a shop now not a cool place to check out-so I do respect the change
