My worst Summer as an adult was spent working at Esprit Group. On the plus side, it has set me up to a lifetime of being nice to catering staff (and in general restaurant staff)

I worked very briefly for the Esprit group a few years ago and had a terrible experience. Low paid training, and when it got to an actual job, we were asked to turn up 2 HOURS before the shift started to get though security at the Lords Cricket Ground - UNPAID. Out of the goodness of our hearts. Ridiculous. When I mentioned how unfair this was and requested payment for their expectation to management, I was FIRED because they didn t want me to spread this message to the other staff. Ridiculous norms, taking advantage of hard working people. Not a recommended employer.

A senior staff member threatened to 'kill us all' at 2am one shift at the Natural History Museum if we didn't work faster

Was meant to work with them for Wimbledon but no one bothered to let me know what was going on. Guess it was blessing in disguise
