Yummy crab cakes and delicious warm gingerbread dessert in the oldest building in Gettysburg.

Wow. Awesome place. The highlight of our visit to Gettysburg. Yes it was on our bucket list. A little expensive but well worth the experience......and you get great food....great service....and hospitality unheard of. The host even shared a personal haunting experience with us. And Shawn....our server......top notch. Nothing bad to say about this establishment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The food was amazing I got a beautiful rare steak and they actually listen to me when I said rare most restaurants still make it well done. Even the dessert was exquisite. There was a bit of a wait and the parking was a tiny bit of a challenge but in my opinion incredibly worth it. They keep it looking and feeling authentic to the time. There is even a little gift shop to keep you occupied while you wait for your table to be ready. If you're ever headed to Gettysburg I highly recommend this historic restaurant.

Absolutely phenomenal food. I read reviews prior to going, and was a bit concerned by the number of reviews that said the atmosphere was awesome but the food mediocre. I absolutely contest those reviews. Every thing we were served was unbelievably delicious. The atmosphere was awesome. I appreciated the effort to to make a historical presentation. Though I am sufficiently versed in history to know that there were in accuracies, I doubt the average customer would have noticed, and ultimately it is a restaurant with amazing food, and great service, not a historical museum. Definitely plan to return.

This is the best place in Gettysburg. Great food and service. Wish it was closer.

Very cool experience. The tavern is almost all lit by candlelight and the french onion soup was amazing! I highly recommend going in for lunch or dinner while visiting Gettysburg.
