My husband and I stayed at the Renaissance last night after our Wedding. The hotel and the rooms are beautiful. Everything was very clean and the decor was very nice throughout. Our suite had a beautiful view of center city Allentown and was right in the middle of everything. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and breakfast at The Dime was delicious. Will definitely be returning.

LOVED my stay! Upon arrival I was greeted by smiling and helpful staff members. The decor of the room was trendy and the bed was so COMFORTABLE! Eating at the onsite restaurant is a must, the food, drinks and service was great. The entire facility is clean, beautifully decorated and worth visiting. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. I will definitely be booking another stay.

The Hotel was very good, friendly and helpful staff, rooms clean and comfortable, Herd traffic(sirens), but nothing else, The rooms have been remodelled recently and are quite nice, The only down check is that the Hotel amenities are listed and discussed on an I pad that also serves as the clock and radio, and did not function very well.

Bussed into this location for a show and was impressed by the stature and cleanliness of the facility. Olivia from guest services was attentive and went the extra mile to be welcoming. Rooms are eco-friendly and window-side day bed was a nice added furnishing.

This place is amazing! I stayed here overnight after attending a concert at the adjacent areana. All areas of the hotel are extremely clean, comfortable, and modern. The employee are very polite and always looking to help guests in anyway they can.

There is a door in the lobby that connects to the adjacent arena. This is very convenient and allows you to bypass long lines getting into the events.

There is a restaurant inside the hotel as well as many different sources of food all around, and not far. An example is a bagel/breakfast sandwich shop across the street that I highly recommend.

Room was very clean with a great view of th3 city. Unfortunately, the key card reader was not working in certain areas, forcing us to take multiple elevators to get to our room on the 10th floor.

I'm giving no stars to the valet. Was very put off by seeing the valet going down a one way street in the wrong direction. In order to get across to the 7-Eleven, so they could catch 7th street all to avoid going around the block.

Best center city hotel with modern feel. Excellent concierge room - including hot breakfast and all day beverages, fruits and snacks - for those with access.

Friendly staff - especially doormen who operate the entry doors for you. I accidentally left my iPad in the room when I checked out and they kept it for me until I returned. Great service.

Very good fitness center with relatively current fitness equipment albeit a limited number. But, a solid option with the ability to use nearby fitness facility.

Housekeeping services seem tuned to maximize conservation by minimizing replenishment of towels and toiletries, and no vacuuming. But the rooms are clean, trash is emptied daily, and the beds are made up daily.

If you have a discerning eye for detail when you travel then this review is for you. After almost 7 years as a Marriott Rewards Elite Platinum member I can say I ve stayed in more than my fair share of hotels all over the world and I know what a good hotel looks like. I ve stayed at this hotel for over month while in town for business. It s a decent enough hotel in a unique, vintage building in downtown Allentown. The rooms are new, large and comfortable but I m not a fan of the decor at all. Barn wood panels and iron pipes?? Really? The bathrooms are functional but uninspired and feel cold. The televisions are large with the newer guide interfaces however they do have a couple flaws, in my opinion. Unlike almost every other Marriott I ve stayed at you can t access any of the hdmi ports on these televisions due to the way they ve been mounted to the wall. They also don t seem to adapt to the room lighting. At night they are blinding. The bed had a standard, middle of the road mattress and pillows. Frankly, I d expect better from a Renaissance but it s ok. My biggest complaint would be that the sheets are terrible. They re definitely of an inferior quality. I found them to be thin and itchy. The front desk staff has always been efficient and friendly as is the host of the Club Lounge. I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. The food is quite good. Fresh, local ingredients that are well prepared didn t disappoint. The menu is updated seasonally with a variety of specials on holidays and most weekends. The cuisine is an innovative twist on classic meat and potatoes/comfort food but sometimes it s a bit too innovative and misses the mark, slightly, but not by so far as to be unenjoyable. I ll definitely go back the next time I m in town.

What a great find......beautifully modern hotel without being pretentious or TOO modern. Rooms were very comfortable as was the bed and we found that the hotel is attached to a minor league hockey team's arena....pretty cool. We will visit again. We won't drink at the bar, however......as I'll note in a separate review, the drinks were very good but WAY overpriced.

I had to change my review as i came back at midnight from a very long day and found my room the same as i left it not clean and a mess!! This never happened to me in any hotel or any country!! I wrote the initial review while i am still staying in and it was a mistake .. i am really frustrated and i still have 3 nights to go what a shame..

The hotel was beautiful, the clerks at the front desk were really nice. My boyfriend, my son, and I all went together. I had made the reservation around 11pm the night before, when we got there they didn't have 2 beds, so they upgraded up to a suite. It was gorgeous. It had its own living room a pull out bed couch which was just as comfortable as the beds. The city view was fantastic. The hotel is connected to the ppl center so instead of us having to walk around Allentown with a 6 yr old trying to find the arena you walk right through the hotel into the arena. It wasn't extremely expensive either. Downfalls: pull out couch blanket had a gross stain on it so my boyfriend had asked for another blanket at front desk and clerk said housekeeping had left and that there weren't any blankets left. He came back with no blanket. I called down and told them my son needed to go to sleep and if they had the two beds that we requested this wouldn't be an issue the guy was very understanding and said he will check a vacant room and take that blanket and be up with it in 10/15 mind. And he was. Also shower floor was pretty disgusting I had asked for shower shoes or something because I didn't want to put my feet on the floor but they didn't have any. The clerk offered to send housekeeping up to scrub it first thing in the morning, which I declined because I didn't want to be woken up first thing in the morning. So we didn't even get to shower in the beautiful bathroom which was foul.

Great hotel and great location. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are nice and each comes with a mini fridge. No microwave. The dime is the on premise restaurant and the food is great. The lounge is a fantastic and once a month for reward members they have omelettes in the lounge. Fitness center is nice, but if you head over to the lvhn fitness center next door, guests can use it for free. Overall great hotel.

Room was trendy and upscale. A single sliding door shifted from the closet to the bathroom. The European style room, putting your card into a slot near the door to activate the lights, took a little time to get used to but overall was a better experience for not forgetting your card. The lounge was always well kept and both breakfast and after hours nibbles were surprisingly good and would recommend taking advantage of it, as the cost for any regular breakfast more than makes up the extra room cost.

The conference room we were in was wide and they had a single projector mounted in the middle of the room making it very hard to read anything on the screen. Then the 200 people had to exit the parking garage. This hotel has 1,yes ONE, kiosk to pay and only one exit. It took over and hour to leave the event.

Third time staying here. The First in 2015 was awesome... great bartender... desk staff super friendly. The Second in 2016 we had great desk staff... but rude restaurant staff and bartender...

This stay was the worst. We booked days ago for the annual Muzikfest. We got to the hotel just after 10. We were greeted by a non attentive desk staff... no platinum upgrades avail, no twin double rooms avail....the bar closed at 10:30... they sent us across street...

Not the room I requested... 3 of us in king bed...no roll aways, no extra blankets avail for couch. (Read that right, no extra blankets in the entire hotel)

My car that I valet'ed sat on the street until after 1 am with the hazards on.

No Mlife lounge on weekends... 20 minute wait for breakfast... we left and went to Billy's (a far better choice)

As a Platinum Marriott guy, I advise don't stay here... the Courtyard at airport or Hilton Garden inn are way better choices!!!

The management needs to be checked... understaffed valet and Restaraunt are rookie moves during a week long event as large as muzikfest.

Brand new building. Too modern and unfriendly with terrible housekeeping, which not only did a terrible job but came in with an attitude.
Houseman Dante was the only person who truly went out of his way to make up for his team. He made great suggestions based on my needs.
The front desk staff was always defensive, unwelcoming and didn't do much for my group. Apologies were not their priority and neither was any customer service concerns we had.
You need a key card to enter the hallways and it must be kept by a door slot to turn on the light and heating systems.
Horrible bathroom pocket doors with no locks.
Unfriendly lobby with no bathroom or garbage cans. However there was a pleasant Messani/Library level that was secluded.
We had a hospitality room set up in a conference room on third floor, since they didn't have microwaves, but in a week we spent there, it was never cleaned, a TV that had no volume and not a piece of silverware or napkin anywhere. No hospitality there!
