Very busy great atmosphere and ambience good for people watching food great nice place to visit
Excellent service. The Afternoon tea was different from the usual as it had unusual toppings on the sandwiches & the minature cakes were delicious
especially the Opera cake.
Nice place with good tea and cakes at a very reasonable price. Only 22 pounds for afternoon tea, and that was shared between two people.
Had a lovely afternoon tea here. Food and service were great. Decor was slightly dated and could do with an update but otherwise really nice .
Nice place, but terrible service, 20 minutes to take an order and never came back to the table to check on us once served
While the atmosphere is a bit "stoofy" it's not entirely like that, and you can walk in and find a table even on the busiest weekend. Definitely come for breakfast and try their Eggs Benedict!
The best restaurant I have ever been to, the food and service was exquisite, as for the wc, amazing so clean and offered a full on service,. I could happily dine here every day
Great tea, we were so full and plenty of hot water for extra tea..
Stopped here for coffee after going to the theatre. Warm and inviting ambiance , was made to feel very welcome even though I was not having a meal. Bar area is comfortable with attentive service. I ordered some truffles which were perfect with my coffee.
We came for afternoon tea as a walk in. I loved it, the service was great and the food too. With tea it is nice to relax and enjoy it and I did not feel rushed which was great. The food was really tasty as well as the tea. They were great about accommodating my allergy.
Lovely place for a meal with old world charm meeting contemporary cooking.
Good food and still one of the best places in London for cheesecake. Would give 5 stars for cheesecake.
Great restaurant, wonderful food, perfect location.A must go when in London
Unforgettable. Good company. Pleasant environment. Food up to par. Impeccable service. One of the best in London.
Lovely place to grab a coffee and have work meetings
Great ambience, attentive service and delicious sandwiches and treats - would recommend everyone take afternoon tea here at least once in their lives.
Lovely, welcoming, very old worldly place to relax and eat
Head to the cafe area for more affordable alternatives like sandwiches, pastries and a wide variety of desserts. Highly recommend the vanilla classic cheesecake, light-tasting and melts in your mouth.
A great place for breakfast in the morning. Great service, coffees, food and environment. I usually have business meetings here and it isn't too loud for detailed conversations.
Delicious food and the service is good too. Was there for a birthday brunch and the staff arranged complimentary pastries
Good food, service! Light Austrian touch on the menu! Loud!
If you are looking for a fancy place for high tea for 20pds, this is the place. Great atmosphere and good staff. However, a few stalls in the ladies toilets did not lock and some of the food with the regular Delauney High Tea was quite average (or tasteless)... one tasted like ritz crackers with canned cheese. BUT the scones were the best scones i've ever tasted. Would come back just for the scones.
Excellent food, attentive service and a great atmosphere.
Wonderful dining experience. True London gem. Great afternoon tea and service. And fancy grand decor
We had a very nice pre-theater dinner with good food, prompt service, at a reasonable price. We will go back.
Not my thing but if it's your thing then go. Upmarket traditional Vienna
Such an elegant venue with a fabulous atmosphere, great food and service, couldn't fault it.
Excellent service and lovely traditional/classic air about it. Great location. Not too bad pricing for their afternoon tea.
A group of 5 of us had dinner here prior to Tina across the road. The ambience is great and the young waiter from Romania a delight. Crowded and a buzz place. All seemed to enjoy the now increasing price with desserts, coffee and 2 other courses. AVOID the Beef Stroganoff, was not able to eat, tough, tasteless, sauce was bland and mushrooms canned?! Very sad.
A firm favourite London bistro. Can t beat the schnitzel. Service can be a little less attentive than ideal though.
Ordered soy hot chocolate; it came to me separated and just about lukewarm.
One of the fun buzzy places to eat . Always excellent service and great food
Lovely place for an affordable and quirky afternoon tea in central London
Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food and a thoroughly enjoyable place to spend an hour or two.
My family celebrated my birthday here, we had delicious food and an excellent service. The restaurant is lovely. We had a very nice time.
Came in for breakfast. Far too expencive and too noisy. Expected something different. Will not come again.
Afternoon tea - fairly priced for how much food you get! Great experience with friends
lovely new "olde world" feel, schnitzel is textbook. service is better than the food. great for after theater. menu has a bit of everything. chicken curry was a satisfying surprise. splendid sacher torte
Nice place to have a cozy after noon tea.
Scones are fabulous and tea is amazing :-]
Spacious & classy Vienna-style venue. The least table-crammed West End restaurant I've ever been to. Visited for a post-theatre dinner and though we were there till well past midnight there was no sense of rush - indeed they seated one couple around 11:30pm. Lovely staff, lovely food, recommended
Service wasn't as expected. Seated without menus and staff were unaware of the wine list. There was a party in the private room so lots of loud music whenever the door was opened and closed
Beautifully decorated restaurant. Very English Victorian and modern feel to the decor. The food is also very well prepared with excellent presentation. They do provide both a breakfast and A la carte menu options. Relatively pricey but worth it.
I like where the Delaunay is situated and the place is nicely set out and well designed. I went for brunch.
The food was good, and the menu extensive. The only downside was the service. It took ages to order even a coffee, they were very inattentive throughout and seemed disinterested when we finally did manage to flag them down. It's a shame because other than that, it was really nice.
Perfect place to dine in theatreland opposite "Tina" which was a fabulous show.
Always great. The afternoon tea was exceptional at a fair price. Staff available (despite the delay they kept the table)
Fantastic, wished I had taken a picture to share. Certainly returning
Very good food at a very good price, at least the ones we ordered was very good. Vegetable sandwich, Pork Schnitzel and a salad with goat cheese, beer for just under 30. Recommendable.
So refined love it silver service breakfast. We went again recently pre Christmas shopping with children 2 of the children chose soft boiled eggs to dip their toast in The eggs were hard when this was pointed out to the waitress she argued with the children that they had given wrong order !!!Not the way to behave not Delaunay proceedure
Great place for a long breakfast. Delicious. Excellent service.
Not a bad venue. Food was okay but I think their prices are a little high. It can sometimes be difficult to get a decent table and yet when you turn up there are empty tables but I guess they hold some back for walk ins.
Staff are very friendly and helpful and happy to talk you through the options.
Really nice breakfast menu.
Can be quite noisy as its an open space, but if you're looking for somewhere reasonable and fancy, this is the place to go.
Excellent central Eurooean food in attractive surroundings. A bit pricey
The service was slow and charmless, food decidedly mediocre, schnitzel bland and fries like McDonalds, deserts inedible like something from a Harvester.... I felt I d stepped back in time to the 80 s.
Refined dining, attentive staff, traditional London setting.
Really high quality experience. Can get a bit busy, but it has a nice atmosphere. The pastries are all first class, and it's nice to sit and enjoy one with one of the nice pots of tea or a wine. They have a wide selection, and quite an international audience.
Lovely place for brunch and afternoon tea, steeped in history.
Very slow service. Coffee average. A shame as everything else was nice. Beautiful space.
Have eaten here many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a great atmosphere all the time, although very different at each sitting. A varied menu and I have had something different every time. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable when compared to restaurants of the same calibre. Well done Delaunay!
Love this place! Visited a few times now with my wife and it makes a great dinner for an occassion. The steak tartare is to die for! Also the dessert table has some amazing treats if you can fit them in.
Re the cafe: I used to be a loyal customer because the place itself is really nice (great interior and good menu), but the staff is very unfriendly and sometimes even impolite. It happened that I was charged the wrong price for a coffee (I More
