Amazing service and the food you can not fault.
Amazing service and the food you can not fault.
Very pleasant evening
Amazing service and the food you can not fault.
Very pleasant evening
Venue for Cheltenham Lit Festival. Elliot is a star!
This is a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Cheltenham Gloucestershire . it's located in an old cinema and where the screen would be upon the stage is where the kitchen is it's very art Deco and very very stylish particularly in the entrance. The food is fantastic and I don't think it was really that expensive. But I don't mean it's cheap it wasn't cheap.
Beautiful building. Afternoon tea excellent value for money and plenty of it
Beautiful architecture nice place to spend an evening jazz band were very good service was excellent
A nice inside setting with live music. However atrocious food; under or even not seasoned, apart from the chips which were coated in excess salt. Poached chicken was without any direction, in a flavourless broth. Peach Melba made with tinned, yes TINNED peaches. Unacceptable for a restaurant with any serious fine dining aspirations, and simple stuff to get right. Poor.
Exceptionally lovely meal and staff and wonder retro restaurant
We had our Christmas lunch and was amazing food and service.
Excellent food and cocktails, really nice atmosphere and lovely people at service. A hidden gem..
Nice food and good service. Was made slightly unpleasant because there were fruit flies flying round our faces and getting in our food and drinks.
Lovely birthday lunch today, with half price champagne, delicious cocktails, fabulous food, and great service.
Average service by a disinterested server and a quality of food only comparable to a Miller and Carter experience but for 20% to 30% more. I think we had a poor server and had we have had another member of staff at least the service and overall experience would have been better. Must say that the interior is lovely and the ambience is good.
Absolutely fabulous Sunday Roast
Bottomless Prosecco Lunch
Went here for my Girlfriends 30th Birthday, the food is good and the venue is beautiful, also Martini Mondays are good value. I called ahead to tell them it was a 30th but they didn't acknowledge it when we were there so 4/5
Beautiful building. The food was good, however we did not recieve our main meal untill 10.30pm when our table was booked at 8.30pm. We were not shown to our table until 9.15pm, I felt this was poor service and although the food was Good, it was very overpriced for what we had. Felt they have got greedy! We have dined in lots of lovely restautants but would not feel i could recommend the Daffodil for the reasons stated.
A very nice restaurant with very good food. The staff were extremely polite and obliging. Although the food took a while to be served it was what I consider to be a laid back French Sunday lunch which I very much appreciate. It was so unfortunate that I had to rush off to the airport and leave my family there.
First visit last night, celebrating my sons graduation. Great venue, artdeco building is just so interesting. Then the welcome is back to a time. Service was very good, food excellent, we eat from Theatre menu. Atmospheric the whole time we were there. But any venue that plays Luther Vandross is a winner. Will be returning
Great ambiance. Fabulous food. However, prices and aspires to silver service without ever quite getting there. For example, no tablecloths - big miss. Friendly, largely attentive staff who are not trained to the required standard.
Would I go back? Yes, now that my expectations have been correctly set.
Food is absolutely excerlent, prices unfortnalty do match the food quality - very pricey! Unessarly posh behaviour from the waiters meaning a lack of friendly feel.
Great settings and good service. The roast pork mains was perfectly cooked.
Good company and plenty of staff to serve the champers!
I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere here. Highly recommend this place!
Overpriced and very disappointing. Food was average. Having visited once before a few years ago I was expecting a better experience to be honest. Also automatically adding a service charge to the bill really infuriates me. Have you ever considered that you might get tipped more? Each to their own but I certainly won't be returning. Not as sophisticated as it appears or is priced.
Very poor service with only average food. I do not recommend this place.
It was a pleasant evening, the restuarant has a nice easy ambience to it, its bigger than i thought. The steak not great, they dont seem to understand rare..it was medium.. but everything else was excellent, i felt it was a bit pricey, for what we had, particularly the wine...but we enjoyed ourselves and that's what is really important...
Great menu, delicious food served in a fabulous art decor former cinema
Beautiful building, lovely staff but over crowded, too many tables downstairs. Lovely cocktail bar upstairs.
Went for lunch on Sunday. First visit Great value with the bottomless Prosecco and wine.
Food fantastic. Our waiter Hugo was fantastic and made our experience an excellent one .
Thankyou to the Daffodill
We will be back but we live in Essex so a bit far to make this our regular restaurant. Look forward to being back soon
Sandy , Dave and Sue
Nice interesting restaurant. Slightly erratic service. Good food.
Recently reopened, the new Daffodil is much like the old. Still good cocktails and good jazz. One presumes the food will be up to the same levels as the old one as well.
Cramped Saturday night. Slow delivery of food and then moved us to no seating upstairs as they needed tables. Soup very good.
Beautiful Saturday lunch meal for a birthday treat. Very relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, and food was very high quality.
Very enjoyable meal with attentive amd friendly staff in the heart of Cheltenham. Would absolutely recommend.
Really good food and attentive service unfortunately as with all venues it loses the sparkle due to the covid restrictions
The food was excellant and I live the atmosphere here.
Lovely staff and great atmosphere, food exceptional
Amazing venue, lovely food, attentive staff. Perfect!
Beautiful decor, amazing feeling and atmosphere. I had an afternoon tea, looked beautiful and very promising but was a bit dry like it was made yesterday. But overall atmosphere made up for it!
Picturesque venue, lovely food (especially the chateaubriand) and the staff were extremely friendly! I highly recommend.
Only had drinks, but it's a great venue with attentive service
Fantastic food, bottomless wine. Lovely staff, just a tad loud on music and a little too warm
What a unique place, so unusual inside. Loved the live music. The food was excellent and the service extremely attentive and personalised
Lovely food, olly the waiter was especially helpful! Best pudding my partner has ever had and the cocktails were to die for x
Lovely works do with great service and food thank you
Menu isn't quite as good as it was and the food is good but not perfect.
Can't believe I have lived in Cheltenham for nearly 15 years now and never been to this place. Beautiful experience from start to finish . What a special evening
Great place to eat and drink, the atmosphere is outstanding, it is a bit pricey but well worth the money.
Great food, lovely wine and friendly, amenable staff. Attended for a birthday celebration and the guest of honour was delighted.
Great service. However if you are looking for a budget meal go somewhere else as this is not the cheapest. If you are looking for a quality dining experience then you are at the right place
Cracking food and really polite and helpful staff. We had the steak night deal and this was a real bargin.
Excellent retro restaurant in convertes 1920s cinema retaining the layout and atmosphere. Great food and fantastic service. Good value with live music to top off a great evening
Always a special treat with friendly staff and fantastic food ! :)
The Daffodil is my favourite restaurant in Cheltenham. Service is good, food and menu are excellent. Ambiance is really great, I thoroughly enjoy it when I visit and have done over the past few years and it has never let me down.
Fantastic food - a bit rich possibly - in a fantastic building with lots of history. Upstairs bar is a great place for a drink
Great setting, excellent food and service
The Daffodil is quite a unique setting for a meal of exceptional quality. The afternoon teas are fantastic value and well worth trying as well. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
Went here for Valentine's day, amazing 5 course meal. Great service, will definitely go again.
We love the Daffodil. Staff, food and atmosphere are all brilliant.
Brilliant setting, lovely atmosphere. Attentive staff and outstanding food.
Such a brilliant restaurant! I used to eat here for special occasions when I lived in the area. Now, living in Bristol 7 years later I came back for a very special occasion, and the quality is still as high as ever. Really well looked after by the excellent staff, food was superb and great setting, ambience and style.
Lovely cocktails, fantastic meal and great service, will definitely be back and Hannah our waitress could not do enough either, 5 stars ;-)
Quite a nice place called in for a drink and bite to eat during a visit to the area
Three of us dined today for Sunday lunch. The two meat dishes beef and chicken, were very nice apparently. But as usual, in more expensive restaurants, the vegetarian meal is never great. I had the vegetable 'tart' which was just a thin More
The staff were quite slow but they had a lot of Christmas parties going on so that is understandable. The food was good and we enjoyed our visit.
Lovely Art Deco surroundings but five expensive luke warm coffees spoilt the occasion.
Amazing afternoon tea birthday treat from my fabulous daughter highly recommend
Very nice place and location. Food looked very good. But the taste was average. Truffle chips were under truffled, but the truffle risotto was all truffle. Staff were very friendly too. But the food was just a bit disappointing
Wonderful food, great ambience in a beautiful building.
Actual lots of Flies in our starters, although they did discount our bill but still I thought that was pretty bad
Lovely venue for a wedding anniversary meal. Beautiful decor, staff were amazing and the food was great.
Amazing art deco building, nice food, great service.
Went here for my birthday meal and the staff couldn't have been any more accommodating and attentive. Being a vegan and eating out aren't the easiest things to combine, however the food was totally delicious and the drinks were too. They went above and beyond to make sure it was a special evening. I cannot recommend it here enough.
Great building, good service, averge food for the money
Excellent menu as a reasonable cost, especially the bottomless wine.. the wait staff are very attentive, and food delicious
Stylish restaurant. An old cinema. Good cocktails, good food, good service.
Amazing location and atmosphere. Food was fantastic wine choice wonderful and staff were just the best. We went festival week and it was busy. But food arrived quickly and perfectly cooked. There was a musician in and he was perfect for the event. Not cheap but totally worth every penny... I will Def be back x
Excellent customer service. One of our party is disabled and the staff were hugely accommodating to our needs - above and beyond expectations and really quite rare to see. Whoever owns this restaurant should be proud of the staff they employ, especially the Maitre D'.
Went to Cheltenham for the purpose of eating here - venue is fabulous, staff were superb and the food was some of the best I've had - go out of your way to visit!
