The D Casino Hotel Las Vegas Review

Nice rooms, free WiFi, helpful staff, free parking for guests. Also, Adriano's Italian steak house is the absolute bomb! It is rather expensive, but it is worth every penny. The service is top notch and the food is to die for, with generous portions.

HORRIBLE!! I can not use the words that come to mind since I figure this would just get deleted....if you are looking for a nice place on Fremont St. THIS IS NOT IT.....When this was Fitzgerald's, even with the old carpet and crummy lighting it was LIGHT YEARS better than this. $5.50 for a Budwiser, NO servers even CAME to the slots, waited 15 minutes for the elevator at 9:30 am, the power was turned off because they have to put in more elevators--which meant NO air conditioning, dancer's who looked like they were getting a root canal instead of enjoying what they were doing (which seriously, seemed like a "Glitter Gultch thing more than a Casino job)....the list goes on. If you want OLD VEGAS, go to The Fremont--nice staff, $2.00 Corona's, slots that actually pay, and much better atmosphere. I guess being from the Mid-west I expected more from the owner, Derek, who is also from the Mid-west.............your money is better spent elsewhere..............

Favorite casino in downtown Vegas! Frozen drink stand outside the casino was expensive but good. Inside was great loved the horse racing game!

This was my 2nd year staying here during the 1st weekend of March Maddness. Like last year the D didn't disappoint. Year round the D is great, vintage slots, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. When it comes to tournament time you won't find a better place in Vegas to watch games.

Nice place im from Michigan and the place down stairs isn't the feeling of Detroit upstairs is a little better but Detroit is a factory state and the people won't stay and play.

OMG... high gear for swimsuit season.... not cool, but the D is very cool

I was very surprised by this place, the joke of the name didn't get worse the longer I stayed as I predicted it would. While it seems to pride itself on irreverence and debauchery, I was able to have a good time without feeling awkward. The room rates were superior to any place else we looked. It wasn't all amazing though; our smoke free room didn't save us from the smell and our very high room (32nd floor) did not keep us from the sound of the stage playing music until 1am every night. But it's old Vegas, I didn't expect silence and clean air.

I had fun at the D, i was in town for 2 days i enjoyed the hotel i never left to do nothing else. Robin is awesome i loved her along with Robert from the roulette table. I never played or knew how and they explained and i won $100 my first time trying...unfortunately i went back and they offer you free alcoholics beverages & lost it all...thats when i realized i was having the time of my life and been at the table for more then 3 hours and after i lost i watched others! The rooms were clean and as expected! For myfirst time in Vegas i want to come back with friends and i would never pick a different hotel! Thanks oh yea Sophia at the check out desk was sweet and kind they need a bonus!!

Right in Fremont Street. Nice casino takes Bitcoin. Craps table 5$ min 10x odds.

Different vibe than the strip casino. Ate at the cafe...food was ok, better pricing than the strip but like a Perkin's. Gaming was fun but no unique games. Vintage slots...not sure why they were called that but had a whole section of them.

Great place to stay it's always nice to see the owner at the Long Bar with the rest of us!

I visited the casino portion of the hotel and had a blast playing the slots and blackjack. It seemed to be about on par with the other casinos on Freemont Street

This is a really nice hotel located in the heart of downtown. The staff was was friendly and the room service was on point.

Alot of gin, the girls are always dancing and on top is the horsies, races for a quarter and a new bar!

Loved horse racing on 2nd floor...received $10 free play for new membership added bonus!

The worst service at D-Grill .......starting w the front host that seated us. Took almost 2 hours to get our food and our sever mabel didn't check on us. I would give a on a scale of ten being worse A big fat ten. Not cool to be treated like that...

Casino wasn't bad it was just terrible on the machines didn't win anything and didn't hear anybody winning anything there

Love the ambiance. Compared to the other downtown casinos there is little to no smoke smell.

I go there for the friendly atmosphere I go there for the best drinks in town and also the machines are loose

This gem of a hotel/casino was the perfect choice for my SO and I. Our room had a single queen size bed ('twas quite comfy), and upon entering you can tell this place has high standards for cleanliness. The free parking and free valet parking is super convenient. Plus, its only a 15 min drive away from the Strip. Since this trip to Vegas was a little spontaneous, we got a great deal via 'HotelsTonight'. Be aware that there is a $100 refundable deposit for the room, other than that 10/10 highly recommend!

I loved it here. Cozy, nice upkeep, right on Freemont. Only thing I would say, is we didn't have a fridge/microwave in the room otherwise, perfect and the cost was great. A few hidden costs for amenities. Will be back.

Played the slots at the D. Had a good time. Didn't see many cocktail waitresses on the floor so was a little difficult getting drinks. Overall had a great time.

we love this place. stayed here 2 or 3 times. spacious accessable room with no odors other than in the casino area. we love the live music of the Fremont Street Experience and The D is right there.

Just a place to sleep... non-smoking rooms on 17th floor smelled like smoke from the casino, I guess? It was annoying but fine for the cost.

The D is a must on Freemont street. It's always busy and fun entertainment.

Had drinks at the bar. Reasonable priced. Casino was like all the rest.

The hotel was ok, the elavator sucks really bad and you have to wait forever for it. Plus we got suck in it for 10 mins and had to call the front desk for help which they didnt do anything the guy in the elavator to open it. Not only that but we asked before had for a room with a king bed and another with two queens they didnt get the request and charged extra for the king room said it was an updated room.

Not a bad hotel. They did have a great frozen drink machine out front The gift shop was reasonably priced and got some great Welcome to Las Vegas water a layer for 2.50

Small and very retro casino, like stepping back a few decades. Home to the most incredible steakhouse Andiamo's!

The D gets a B+. Better than most but not the best. You will have fun here and spend less than most!

We stay downtown every time we go to Vegas. The D is a pretty good place and you can even get your favorite Detroit coney dog there!

Located in iconic old town near Fremont St. The D didn t disappoint. The casino is full of old casino games that are fun to play (check out the horse racing game; the old one . Great lounge areas to watch sports as well. Just the right amount of modern while keeping it fun and iconic.

Went in while walking around downtown. I heard it had a different set up than most places. Seemed regular. Charged a to go for the drinks even though I was going to gamble. Seemed ok. Not the best spot but also not the worst.

IT WAS GREAT. I JUST DID NOT APPRECIATE GETTING AN EXTRA $100.00 BUCKS SPUNG ON MY THAT I HAD TO PAY BEFORE I COULD GET TO MY ROOM. SAD.

Had to go through a metal detector to enter. Understand checking temperatures, but thought the metal detector was over the top.

We stay here every year and haven't been disappointed yet. Great comps and friendly staff.
