Glad i went during eat out to help out as i feel it would be overpriced otherwise. Fish didn't have much flavour and not many chips. The minted peas were really nice though.

Just a few drinks on a Friday evening but good service and selection. Plenty of parking if driving, all the food coming out looked good.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoy every visit to this gem at the front of a truly beautiful Hampshire town of Romsey. The team are extremely friendly and great talking to the kids when they join us. I would go as far as to say this is my favourite restaurant in the south.
Good food, good drink, very good service and great atmosphere. The 4 Mese/Tapas/Cicchetti option makes a great lunch for 2.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Nice modern rooms. Breakfast and evening was bit of a let down as chef couldn't do poached eggs. Clarys one of the waiting staff was exceptionally. Walk into Romsey town during the day very quaint.
Not my cup of tea. Too much money for too little food
Beautiful place, although on a busy road, room was lovely and staff were very nice. Would definitely visit again and recommend
Amazing food, great atmosphere and dog friendly! Win, win win!
Really nice pub/restaurant/hotel. Very comfortable and good bar and food menu. Very clean and with a friendly staff!
Went for a birthday meal with my family. The food was lovely and the staff attentive. The pub has lot of charter with sympathetic extentions over the years.
Food was alright, service was good. Only issue was I did get very bad food poisoning from my starter
Having had a good few Sunday lunches in and around the SO area, the Cromwell is by far my absolute favourite. The meats are always tender and high quality, and the veggies not over or under done - everything is just so tasty! The ambience is quaint and the service always impeccable. Not hard to give 5 stars here for me!
Lovely wine lovely company great service what more can I say
Very friendly staff, amazing rooms and great food. Much more of a boutique hotel than just a bar with rooms. It would be a pleasure to stay again.
Amazing food and the staff were so helpful with anything we wanted. The only downside was the bell that was at the bar which was rung every 5 minutes even though the barman could of done the job
Beer garden is the biggest pull here. Really polite, helpful bar and waiting staff who I've seen (sadly) treated poorly infront of customers on multiple occasions by management.
Friendly staff, good layout of the place so that you don't feel crammed in. Good food and my friends loved the steak. Veggie menu was good. Outside looks like it'll be great in the summer. Parking available.
Lovely decor and lovely atmosphere, great food and excellent staff
Last here 2 years ago. It was great then and it's just as good again today. Super-tasty perfectly cooked food, great wine and very nice coffee. Very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
2 years ago this was one of my favourite pubs. Just had the second disappointing lunch in a row there. Won't be going back a third time. Bacon sandwich had bacon that was so tough it was almost impossible to eat, I wouls guess it wasn't cooked to order. Fish sandwich was greasy. Salad on plate was wilted. Third dish was totally out of proportion. Even with the extra bowl of chips I ordered the 2 wafers of bread left me with half a bowl of dip left.
Great place to stay, eat and use as a base from which to explore Romsey and it's surroundings.
Needs more serving staff, though those there were fantastic.
Food very good.
Not child friendly.
My sister stayed there 24 & 25 December no housekeeping and NO STAFF on site night of 25 until she made a fuss about security etc. No customer care whatsoever
Very pretentious. 5.45 for a pint? Doesn't take much intelligence to work out you're being robbed!!
Lovely food and atmosphere. Polite and friendly service. Would recommend
Popped in for a drink after a bike ride in the forest. Really nice pub, very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. We didn't eat but the food looked and smelt amazing.
Nice staff shame the drinks are over priced for a fullers pub
Stayed here for one night and it was lovely! The room was clean, complimentary tea and coffee, and a great bed. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and staff was very kind.
Fantastic accessible room available in the hotel for a family member staying over.
A lovely pub. Great staff, very clean with good food. I would recommend without doubt.
Great food and friendly staff. Kid friendly with Jenga blocks on an AstroTurf lawn
Lovely hotel and staff are very friendly and welcoming, food was great, room was lovely and modern, all of the extras were a happy bonus . Only criticism was that it was quite warm during the night and the radiators came on in the morning. Would recommend highly
Food was top notch . Staff were friendly , fast and happy to help with anything
Really good food, a warm atmosphere and staff always very friendly and work hard. Large car park, easy walking distance to the town. Rooms are beautifully clean and finished to a high standard. Extra touches in the room like a complimentary bottles of water and beer, fresh milk for tea and coffee. Great breakfast selection.
Avoid this place if you don t have a booking, they turned away a table of four, at around 16hoo . We saw at least 8 empty tables but were told if you don t have a booking they cannot accommodate us .
In fortunately we are local so they won t be seeing any of our money in the future
