Lovely atmosphere food was good just a little expensive for a beef roast. Presentation excellent

Nice bar, decor is upmarket and smart. Food menu is decent but not over the top. The amenities are nice. Drink choices are standard. Service was friendly. Outside seating area and car park are spacious.

This is great pub on the Test Way walk. I really enjoyed my meal. Great chicken burger and pint of London Pride. So nice.

Had a lovely meal at the beginning and the end of a visit to family in the South. Great food as always and they are doing really well changing their way of operating to be COVID safe. Staff are lovely. Nothing was too much trouble.

A great place for a bite to eat in Romsey. The Cromwell Arms offer a tasty twist on some pub classics as well as a daily array of specials. Be sure to drop in and sample the food and drinks in this delightful country pub.

Last night before lockdown part 2. The staff were great and they were responsible and considerate with their handling of the current situation. I will definitely be back when they are allowed to reopen.

Regular Visitor - great rooms good food friendly staff

Awful experience - went for my daughters 25th birthday. Firstly, none of their flagship beer, London pride available. Secondly, my first choice of main course, the rack of lamb, not available. No specials board and otherwise a very limited menu for what I would call high end restaurant prices. Ended up waiting an hour for main courses after having starters and decided not to wait any longer before leaving and ended up in McDonald s due to being hungry and the time it was.

A truly terrible evening. This pub is very poorly managed, I will not return.

Lovely starters, especially the pigeon breast!!! Roast dinner also very good!!! Only downfall is parking can be a little bit difficult but overall food and atmosphere was superb.

Been here for steak a few times. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. The buffalo milk ice cream in the dessert menu is also well worth trying. Only negative was the service could have been more attentive last visit, especially given the restaurant was quite quiet.

We stayed here one night with our kids so we could take them to paultons park. It was really nice, clean and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was really nice. We would definitely go back.

My husband and ex work colleagues went yesterday for a Christmas meal. They all agreed it was cold, over priced and would not go there again.

Great at social distancing, nice tasting food but tiny portions for the price!

A great revamp to the establishment but sadly the food has taken a dive, the staff were great, very friendly. There was a function on perhaps making the wait long but not an issue to us so no excuse to the food being way over cooked or at worst reheated plates were hot food not, will try again and adjust my comment considering this an unfortunate one off

Great food, service and ambience. One of my favourite places to eat. Always impresses guests we bring too. I had haddock and chips and whilst the fish portion was too big for me, it was so tasty. Everyone had something different, my son's love the burgers, and we all left happy. The salted caramel buffalo ice cream was lush.

The room was lovely, the staff were excellent, felt very safe throughout. Would highly recommend to all

Was a little apprehensive after reading previous negative reviews about portion sizes. However, no problems whatsoever. Really enjoyed the chefs specials on the menu. Good gluten free options & comfortable covid measures.

A clean & well presrnted Pub with hood well priced food. Staff friendly & helpful.

Great food, fast service, brilliant range for beer and cider. Lovely place to sit outside on a sunny day.

I stayed here as I had a wedding in Romsey, and was very impressed discovering I had the best lodgings amongst friends that weekend.



I would gladly stay there again, however my only criticism hence the 4-star rating was there being no cable available for me to connect my Android phone to the iPod speaker dock (not everyone has an iPhone, check market share stats).

Excellent accommodation and breakfast was amazing. It did get a bit noisy late evening since this is a pub and with covid everyone sat outside so noise travelled quite a bit. Could also do with slightly larger rooms, but thats nit-picking. Overall really enjoyed the stay and staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice place and been there before .. although, very disappointed with the Ceaser salad, tasted good but clearly they ran out of green salad as there was just a tiny amounton the plate.... smallest salad I've ever had.

Cromwell is always a nice venue wether it's for a few drinks in the garden or a nice meal I've never been dissatisfied in multiple visits.

Popped in for some lunch and were delighted with the food! Delicious food and friendly service. There are some bedrooms for here which are nicely finished and a nice spot to stay in.

Foods incredible, service is incredible and the atmosphere is incredible. Nothing bad to say other than the portions are sometimes a little on the small side. But flavour and price, spot on. Never been disappointed with the food.

The rooms are clean and modern. Good location for walking in to town. The food is good but would be nice to see some more real ales. London Pride is a bit dull.

I haven't actually been there yet, we've just booked a weekend away there in a week or so es time I'm thinking Google might be just slightly up it's own rear end O dear

What a lovely place.just stopped off for a quick pint and a snack.wow the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and warming to you.would highly recommended a visit.

I used to eat here a fair bit but stopped because of the limited vegetarian option. They now have a couple of vegan options but no vegetarian, but its good news.

I enjoyed the wine very much but my thoughts were that if I ate meat I would have gone home via the kebab shop.
I'm not trying to damage this pub but I'm not going to lie and pretend all was good, it wasn't.
I give 4 stars because it's a lovely pub, great staff and they treated us well, this is only a problem with the kitchen or management. I couldn't recommend the food side unfortunately. Of course it could be better outside of this particular deal.
